The Peaceland University cut-off mark for Computer Science is 150 in the UTME, JAMB’s national minimum for universities in 2026/2027. Peaceland University, Enugu has not published a separate or higher Computer Science figure, for this session or the last, so 150 is the only official number that applies. Computer Science is on Peaceland’s JAMB course list under the name Computer Science, in the Faculty of Science and Computing.
2027/2028 update: Peaceland University cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.
Clearing 150 makes you eligible to be considered. It does not guarantee a place. Below are the official figures, a safe target score (my advice), the subject combination from the JAMB brochure, what Peaceland has and has not published about screening, a worked example, the CAPS steps, and where the programme stands on accreditation.

Peaceland Computer Science cut-off history
| Session | Figure | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| 2026/2027 | 150 | JAMB national minimum for universities. No Peaceland figure published |
| 2025/2026 | 150 | JAMB national minimum for universities (JAMB, July 2025). No Peaceland figure found |
Peaceland is a young private university. It was founded in 2023 and grew out of Peaceland College of Education, Enugu, which still runs as a separate college with its own NCE admissions. Because the university is new, there is no run of departmental cut-offs to compare. If a site gives you a Peaceland Computer Science cut-off such as 180 or 200 and calls it official, ask for the Peaceland notice it came from. I found none.
Safe target score for Computer Science at Peaceland (my advice)
This table is my judgement as an admissions adviser. Peaceland has not published merit figures.
| Your UTME score | My read for Peaceland |
|---|---|
| Below 150 | Not eligible for any Nigerian university degree this cycle |
| 150 to 169 | Eligible. Fine if your O’level grades are good, but have a second option ready |
| 170 to 189 | Comfortable for a new private university |
| 190 to 219 | Strong. You would also clear ESUT’s 200 line at the top of this range |
| 220 and above | Very strong. You have real choices among Enugu universities |
For the 2027 UTME I would aim for 180 or more, with at least B3 in Mathematics and Physics. Computer Science is usually the most requested course in any Nigerian science faculty, and Peaceland lists it beside Cyber Security, Software Engineering and Data Science, so a modest score still has a place to go if Computer Science fills up. At ESUT, also in Enugu, the minimum for Computer Science was 200 in 2026/2027, which shows how much higher the bar sits at the state university.
Is Computer Science on Peaceland’s JAMB course list?
Yes. Myschool’s reprint of the JAMB course list for Peaceland University (I checked it on 30 October 2026) has 30 courses, and Computer Science is one of them. That matters because JAMB only lets a university offer you a course that is on its list. On your JAMB form the course name is Computer Science and the institution is Peaceland University. Do not confuse it with “Education and Computer Science”, a separate teaching degree that is also on Peaceland’s list.
The summary of Peaceland’s 2026/2027 advert that Myschool published on 28 April 2026 lists B.Sc. Computer Science under the Faculty of Science and Computing, and the university’s own FAQ page lists it in the same faculty.
UTME subject combination and O’level for Peaceland Computer Science
| Requirement | Computer Science (JAMB brochure, general entry) |
|---|---|
| UTME subjects | Use of English, Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Economics or Geography |
| O’level | Five credits including English Language, Mathematics and Physics, plus two other science subjects |
| Exams accepted | WAEC, NECO or NABTEB (JAMB’s usual list; Peaceland has not published a sitting rule) |
| Direct Entry | Two A-level passes in science subjects including Mathematics, or NCE merit in Mathematics and one other science or social science subject |
| Peaceland remark | None. The brochure page names no special rule for Peaceland |
Physics is compulsory in both the UTME and the O’level. Candidates from commercial or arts classes sometimes register Computer Science with Mathematics, Economics and Government; that combination does not meet JAMB’s requirement. For the fourth UTME subject, Chemistry is the safest choice because almost every Nigerian university accepts it for computing courses.
The O’level line asks for two science subjects besides Physics, so English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology is the cleanest set of five. A credit in Further Mathematics or Computer Studies helps your preparation but does not replace the named subjects.
Direct Entry
The JAMB brochure accepts two A-level passes in science subjects including Mathematics, or an NCE merit in Mathematics and one other science or social science subject. Peaceland has not published its own Direct Entry rules for Computer Science, so confirm with the admissions office whether it takes ND holders before you register for DE.
How Peaceland screens Computer Science applicants
Peaceland has not published a screening test, a screening date or an aggregate formula for 2026/2027 in any source I reached. The 2026/2027 notice that circulated in April 2026 announced that admission was open and listed programmes, and nothing more. Expect the usual private-university pattern: an online application, a check of your UTME score and O’level results, and possibly a short test or interview. Treat any figure you read elsewhere for Peaceland’s form fee as unconfirmed until you see it on the portal.
Worked example for a Computer Science candidate (illustration only)
Peaceland has not published a screening formula. Many Nigerian universities combine the UTME score with O’level grades, so here is one common method, used only to show how your numbers could add up. It is not Peaceland’s rule.
- UTME part: UTME score divided by 8, out of 50.
- O’level part: five relevant subjects scored A1 = 10, B2 = 9, B3 = 8, C4 = 7, C5 = 6, C6 = 5, out of 50.
Ifeanyi scored 186 in the UTME and has A1 in Mathematics, B2 in English, B3 in Physics, C4 in Chemistry and B3 in Biology from one sitting.
- UTME part: 186 ÷ 8 = 23.25.
- O’level part: 42 out of 50.
- Illustrative total: 23.25 + 42 = 65.25 out of 100.
- Against the minimum: 186 minus 150 = 36. Ifeanyi clears JAMB’s line by 36 marks.
If Peaceland sets a test or an interview, that score would change the picture. What does not change is that the O’level carries real weight under most methods, so a C6 in Mathematics or Physics hurts more than a few UTME marks.
How to apply for Computer Science at Peaceland, step by step
- Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN.
- Register the UTME correctly: pick Computer Science as the course and Peaceland University as the institution, with Use of English, Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Economics or Geography.
- Fix your choice if you chose another school: if Peaceland was not your choice in the 2026 UTME, do a JAMB change of institution before you apply. Peaceland can only offer you admission through CAPS if it is on your JAMB profile.
- Upload your O’level to CAPS: go to a JAMB-accredited CBT centre and have your WAEC, NECO or NABTEB result uploaded. A university cannot recommend you on CAPS without it.
- Apply to Peaceland: Peaceland’s 2026/2027 advert pointed candidates to its online application portal at apply.peacelanduni.edu.ng. The university’s fee schedule lists the admission form at ₦10,000; no screening date has been published, so read the instructions on the portal itself.
- Attend screening and print everything: keep your UTME result slip, O’level results, birth certificate or age declaration, local government identification and the application acknowledgement together.
- Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS. Accept only an offer for the course you want. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status.
- Pay acceptance and school fees through official channels: Peaceland’s fee schedule lists acceptance at ₦10,000 and a total of ₦320,000 at 100 level and ₦440,000 at 200 and 300 level, with tuition payable 60% and then 40%. Pay only through the official portal or the Admissions Office.
Warning
Adverts that sell Peaceland University forms or “admission slots” through private phone numbers and agents circulate online. JAMB says any admission outside CAPS is illegal, so a genuine Peaceland offer will show on your CAPS page. Apply only through the university’s own portal and pay only into accounts the university confirms in writing.
JAMB set 30 November 2026 as the 2026/2027 admission deadline for private universities, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (11 May 2026). The 2026/2027 cycle runs until then for Peaceland, so if you applied this year, check CAPS regularly. If you are planning for 2027/2028, read when JAMB 2027 registration starts.
Studying Computer Science at Peaceland University
Computer Science sits in Peaceland’s Faculty of Science and Computing with Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Science and the science degrees. Peaceland has not published its course outline, so the list below describes a standard Nigerian B.Sc. Computer Science under NUC’s minimum standards.
- 100 and 200 level: mathematics, physics, introductory programming, digital logic and the general studies courses every student takes.
- 300 level: data structures and algorithms, operating systems, databases, computer architecture, software engineering and networking, then the industrial training (SIWES) placement.
- 400 level: compilers or theory of computation, artificial intelligence, project management and a final-year project.
- Careers: software development, systems and network administration, database work, data analysis, IT support, teaching and postgraduate study.
Accreditation
Peaceland announced full NUC accreditation for Computer Science after NUC’s October/November 2025 exercise. It is one of 17 programmes on the list reported by Uniblog NG on 23 April 2026, and the university’s own news post of 1 May 2026 confirms the full accreditation of “Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Accountancy, and several others”. I found no NUC report page for the programme, so the status rests on the university’s announcement.
Do not confuse it with the NUC reports online under the Peaceland name: those belong to Peaceland College of Education, Enugu, whose degree programmes are affiliated to Abia State University. The Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN) registers computing graduates, and an NUC-accredited degree makes that process straightforward.

- Choosing the wrong course on the JAMB form: Computer Science and Education and Computer Science are different degrees at Peaceland.
- No O’level on CAPS: Peaceland cannot recommend you without it.
- Paying an agent for a “slot”: every genuine offer shows on CAPS.
- Accepting on CAPS and stopping there: acceptance fee payment and clearance at Peaceland are separate steps.
