Peaceland University Education and Computer Science Cut-Off Mark 2027/2028 and Admission Requirements

Peaceland University takes 150 in the UTME for Education and Computer Science. See the JAMB subjects, O’level, Direct Entry, the ₦200,000 fees, its programme status and how to apply through CAPS.

The Peaceland University Education and Computer Science cut-off mark is 150 in the UTME, JAMB’s minimum for all universities in 2026/2027. Peaceland has not published its own cut-off for this course or any other, and no post-UTME test has been announced for its Faculty of Education. A score of 150, the correct JAMB subjects and five O’level credits make you eligible to apply.

2027/2028 update: Peaceland University cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

“Education and Computer Science” is on Peaceland’s JAMB course list (checked 30 October 2026), so you can select it. But the short programme list on the university’s homepage shows six Education degrees and Computer Science Education is not one of them. The Vice-Chancellor named Computer Science Education among Peaceland’s courses in June 2024, and the homepage list may simply be incomplete. Even so, ask the Admissions Office whether it is taking new students in this course before you pay. If it is not, Peaceland’s B.Sc. Computer Science uses almost the same UTME subjects, and ESUT and UNN run computer education degrees.

Peaceland University only began admitting students in the 2023/2024 session, so it has a short history and has never published a departmental cut-off for any course. If a blog shows you a “Peaceland Education and Computer Science cut-off” of 180 or 200, ask where it came from. I could not find one figure that traces back to the university.

Safe target score for Education and Computer Science at Peaceland (my advice)

This table is my own judgement as an admissions adviser. Peaceland has not published it.

Your UTME scoreMy read for Education and Computer Science at Peaceland
Below 150Not eligible for a Peaceland degree this session
150 to 169Eligible. A fair chance if your O’level credits are complete and uploaded
170 to 189Comfortable for Peaceland, and it keeps a state university backup in view
190 and aboveStrong. You could also aim at ESUT or UNN, whose Education courses took 160 in 2026/2027

Many candidates see computer education as a cheaper way into computing, so I would aim for 170 or more. That also keeps ESUT Computer Education (160 in 2026/2027) in reach and gives you room if Peaceland moves you to Computer Science instead.

UTME subject combination and O’level for Education and Computer Science at Peaceland

RequirementEducation and Computer Science
UTME subjectsUse of English, Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry and Geography
O’levelFive credits including Mathematics, English Language and three other science subjects
Direct EntryTwo A level passes including Physics or Chemistry
Peaceland remark in the brochureNone
Number of sittingsNot stated by Peaceland; upload every sitting you use

These lines are JAMB’s brochure entry for Education and Computer Science as reprinted by Myschool, checked on 30 October 2026. Mathematics and Physics are both compulsory in the UTME. Economics is not on the list for the third subject, even though it is accepted for Peaceland’s B.Sc. Computer Science.

I would register Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. That combination fits both this course and B.Sc. Computer Science, Cyber Security and Software Engineering at Peaceland, so a course change on CAPS would not leave you with the wrong subjects.

At O’level the three other sciences are usually Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Direct Entry into Education and Computer Science

Peaceland has not published DE rules for this course. JAMB’s main line asks for two A level passes including Physics or Chemistry. An NCE holder in Computer Science combined with Mathematics or Physics should ask Peaceland directly whether the NCE is accepted, since the brochure’s main line names only A level.

How Peaceland admits Education and Computer Science candidates

Peaceland has not published a post-UTME examination for any Education course. The only Peaceland screening test I found in public notices was the one of 18 September 2024, and it covered six health courses only (Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Physiotherapy, Community Health, Environmental Health and Public Health). For Education, admission so far has been by online application on the university’s portal, followed by a recommendation on JAMB CAPS.

Peaceland’s intake is still capped by the admission quota the NUC gives it. At its second matriculation, the Pro-Chancellor, Felix Ugwuozor, asked the NUC to raise that quota because qualified applicants were being turned away (TheCable). Once you pass 150, applying early, a complete O’level and a higher UTME score all help.

Worked example

Peaceland has no published aggregate formula, so I compare each score with the 150 minimum and my 170 target. The candidates below are illustrations.

  1. Ifeoma scored 162 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and has credits in all five required subjects. She is 12 above the minimum. I would expect her to be considered once the university confirms the course is running.
  2. Uchenna scored 186 with the same subjects. He clears ESUT’s 160 too. He can apply to Peaceland and keep ESUT as a public option.
  3. Daniel scored 171 but wrote Economics as his third subject instead of Biology, Chemistry or Geography. His score is fine, but his combination does not match the brochure. He should ask Peaceland whether it will consider him for B.Sc. Computer Science, which does accept Economics, or correct his subjects in the next UTME.

Peaceland University Education and Computer Science school fees

Peaceland’s own fee page lists one structure for the Department of Health and Human Kinetics and all other Education departments. Education and Computer Science falls under it.

Item (Faculty of Education)100 level200 level300 level
Tuition₦70,500₦70,500₦70,500
Other fees₦87,500₦74,500₦74,500
Accreditation charge₦42,000₦55,000₦55,000
Total for the session₦200,000₦200,000₦200,000

The 100 level “other fees” of ₦87,500 already include the admission form, processing and acceptance charges:

Part of the 100 level “other fees”Amount
Admission form (application)₦10,000
Admission processing₦5,000
Acceptance fee₦10,000
Matriculation₦7,000
Online course registration and ICT₦12,500
Health insurance₦20,000
E-library, handbook, ID card, utility, examination, sports, faculty and departmental fees₦23,000 together

So a 100 level student pays ₦200,000, compared with ₦320,000 at 100 level and ₦440,000 at 200 level in Peaceland’s Faculty of Science and Computing, where B.Sc. Computer Science sits. The schedule says other fees and the accreditation charge go in the first instalment, and tuition is split 60% and 40% across the second and third instalments. The page does not name a session or list hostel for Education, so confirm both on the portal before you pay.

How to apply for Education and Computer Science at Peaceland, step by step

  1. Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN.
  2. Register the right course: pick Peaceland University and the course named Education and Computer Science with English, Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry and Geography. If you already chose another school first, do a JAMB change of institution before you apply.
  3. Upload your O’level to CAPS: do it at a JAMB-accredited centre and include every sitting you want counted. Without it the university cannot recommend you.
  4. Apply on Peaceland’s portal: create an account on the e-admission page linked from peacelanduni.edu.ng (apply.peacelanduni.edu.ng), fill in your UTME details and O’level, pick Education and Computer Science and pay the ₦10,000 form fee shown on the fee schedule. Print your slip.
  5. Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status and then Access my CAPS, and accept the offer before you pay the university anything else. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status.
  6. Pay acceptance and fees: the acceptance fee is ₦10,000 and processing ₦5,000, both inside the first instalment. Pay only through the student portal or the Admissions Office, as the university’s website instructs.

Warning

Peaceland University and Peaceland College of Education, Enugu are different institutions with different portals. Make sure you are applying to the university, and pay nobody who claims to be an admission agent: the university says it has authorised none.

JAMB set 30 November 2026 as the 2026/2027 admission deadline for private universities, and admissions done outside CAPS are illegal. If your offer has not appeared on CAPS close to that date, contact the Admissions Office through the official website.

Studying Education and Computer Science at Peaceland University

Education and Computer Science is a four-year degree that trains you to teach computing in secondary schools. You take core computing courses with education courses and teaching practice. Peaceland has not published its curriculum, so the outline below is the usual Nigerian content.

Accreditation

  • NUC accreditation: full, as announced by Peaceland. After NUC’s October/November 2025 exercise, Peaceland announced full accreditation for 17 programmes, and Education and Computer Science (Computer Science Education) is one of them (reported by Uniblog NG on 23 April 2026; the university’s own post of 1 May 2026 names Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science and Accountancy “and several others”). I found no NUC report page naming the university for it, so the status rests on the university’s announcement.
  • Current status: on JAMB’s list, but not on the homepage’s short list of Education degrees. Ask the Admissions Office to confirm in writing that it is admitting for 2027/2028.
  • Do not mix it up with the college: NUC reports that mention “Peaceland” for Education degrees belong to Peaceland College of Education, Enugu, whose degree programmes are affiliated to Abia State University. They say nothing about Peaceland University. JAMB’s 2026 NCE guide also stopped all 100 level and 200 level degree admission into colleges of education from 2026/2027, so a degree place now has to come through a university such as Peaceland.

What you study

  • Computing: programming, data structures, computer architecture, operating systems, databases, networking and web development.
  • Mathematics: discrete mathematics, statistics and numerical methods.
  • Education: educational psychology, curriculum studies, educational technology, methods of teaching computer studies, microteaching, teaching practice and a project.

Careers

Graduates teach Computer Studies and Digital Technologies in secondary schools, and register with the TRCN to teach. The computing half of the degree also opens doors to ICT support, training centres, edtech companies, school ICT administration and web or app development, and to a master’s degree in computer science or educational technology.

Other Enugu options: the ESUT Computer Education cut-off mark took 160 in 2026/2027, and so did the UNN Computer and Robotics Education cut-off mark. To check your score first, see how to check your JAMB result.

Mistakes Education and Computer Science applicants make

  • Writing Economics as the third subject: the brochure lists Biology, Chemistry or Geography for this course.
  • Assuming it is running: it is on JAMB’s list but not on the homepage list. Ask before paying.
  • Confusing it with Computer Science: B.Sc. Computer Science sits in a different faculty with higher fees.
  • Skipping the CAPS upload: no O’level on CAPS means no recommendation.
