Amadeus University Business Administration Cut-Off Mark 2027/2028 and Admission Requirements

Business Administration at Amadeus University needs at least 150 in the UTME. See the JAMB subjects, O’level and Direct Entry rules, screening, fees and accreditation status.

The Amadeus University Business Administration cut-off mark for 2027/2028 is 150, JAMB’s minimum UTME score for universities. Amadeus has not published a departmental cut-off for Business Administration, so 150 is the official floor; the university then applies its own faculty checks and a holistic review of each applicant.

2027/2028 update: Amadeus University cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

Business Administration is on Amadeus’s current programme list as a B.Sc. in the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences. Register it on JAMB as Business Administration, the name used in JAMB’s brochure and in a JAMB-style directory of Amadeus courses. I could not open JAMB’s own course list for Amadeus, so check that the course appears under Amadeus on the JAMB portal when you register.

It is also the cheapest degree at Amadeus by tuition, according to third-party fee guides, so expect plenty of competition from candidates watching costs.

Amadeus did not declare its own cut-offs at JAMB’s 2026 policy meeting. Some blogs quote 140 as the general Amadeus cut-off. There is no official source for that figure and it is under JAMB’s 150 for universities, so leave it out of your plans.

Safe target score for Business Administration at Amadeus (my advice)

My own guide, not an Amadeus rule:

Your UTME scoreMy read for Business Administration at Amadeus
Below 150Not eligible for any Nigerian university this cycle.
150 to 164Eligible. Realistic if your subjects match and your documents are complete.
165 to 179A good position at a young private university.
180 and aboveComfortable. This is the range I would aim for.

Business Administration takes a lot of applicants at most universities because it fits arts, commercial and some science students. At Amadeus, where the department is still building its first classes, I would aim for at least 170 in the 2027 UTME.

JAMB subject combination and O’level for Amadeus Business Administration

RequirementJAMB brochure (Myschool reprint)Amadeus admission page
UTME subjectsMathematics, Economics and any other Social Science subject (plus Use of English)National minimum plus any faculty requirement
O’levelFive credits including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two other relevant subjectsFive credits including English and Mathematics plus three other relevant subjects (WASSCE, NECO or GCE)
SittingsNot stated on the base lineOne or two sittings (university’s 2025/2026 advert)
Direct EntryTwo A-level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or StatisticsNot described
Remark naming AmadeusNoneNot applicable

Mathematics and Economics are fixed. For the third subject, pick Government or Geography, which are clearly Social Science subjects on JAMB’s list. A few universities have their own remarks allowing Commerce or Accounts, but none of those names Amadeus, so ask the university before relying on them. Literature in English and CRS are Arts subjects, not Social Science, under JAMB’s grouping.

At O’level, aim for credits in English, Mathematics, Economics and two of Commerce, Financial Accounting, Government, Geography or Civic Education. That satisfies both JAMB’s line and Amadeus’s own five-credit rule.

Direct Entry into Business Administration at Amadeus

JAMB’s base Direct Entry line is two A-level passes from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Statistics. Several universities also take ND, HND or NCE holders under their own remarks, but Amadeus has none on the brochure page and its admission page does not describe Direct Entry. Get a written answer from admissions@amadeus.edu.ng before registering for Direct Entry.

How Amadeus screens Business Administration applicants

Amadeus has not published a written post-UTME test. The admission page describes a holistic review: academic results first, then character, extracurricular and social activity, with room for students from underserved communities. An older write-up (2024) mentioned an interview, and a third-party guide describes an online document review with a ₦2,000 fee; neither detail is on the official page, so check them on the portal.

Worked example (illustrative)

No aggregate formula has been published. This example just applies the checks:

  1. Chidinma: 163 with Use of English, Mathematics, Economics and Geography; credits in English, Mathematics, Economics, Commerce and Government across two sittings (WAEC and NECO); Amadeus and Business Administration on her JAMB profile.
  2. Her checks: 163 clears 150, Geography is a Social Science subject and two sittings are allowed. She applies for Business Administration on the portal with every document uploaded. She meets each published condition.
  3. Kelechi: 175 with Use of English, Economics, Government and Literature in English, and a credit in Mathematics at O’level.
  4. His checks: his O’level is fine, but JAMB’s Business Administration line needs Mathematics in the UTME and he did not sit it. A change of course cannot fix that. Among Amadeus programmes, Mass Communication is the one to ask about, since JAMB’s general line for it is any three Arts or Social Science subjects.

How Business Administration compares with Amadeus’s other management degrees

Amadeus programmeMain focusTuition (Campusfees, 2026/2027)
Business AdministrationManagement, marketing, human resources, operations₦800,000
AccountingFinancial reporting, audit, tax₦900,000
EconomicsMarkets, policy and data₦1,200,000
EntrepreneurshipStarting and growing a businessCheck the fee page

Business Administration is the broadest of these. If you already know you want to qualify as a chartered accountant, choose Accounting. If you want to build your own business from school, compare it with Entrepreneurship, which Amadeus also runs.

How to apply for Business Administration at Amadeus, step by step

  1. Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN.
  2. Register the UTME with Amadeus and the right course: pick Amadeus University, Amizi as your institution and Business Administration as the course, with the UTME subjects in the table above. If you already sat the UTME with another school, do a change of institution to Amadeus on JAMB; the university’s own admission page asks every applicant to choose Amadeus through the JAMB portal.
  3. Upload your O’level to CAPS: go to a JAMB-accredited centre once your WAEC, NECO or GCE result is out. Amadeus asks for five credits including English Language and Mathematics, and accepts results from one or two sittings.
  4. Apply on the Amadeus portal: create an account at admissions.amadeus.edu.ng, choose Business Administration, fill the form and upload your documents. The same course must sit on your CAPS profile, or an offer cannot be processed.
  5. Watch for screening or interview contact: Amadeus has not published a written post-UTME test. Keep your phone and email active, because any interview invitation or request for documents comes through them.
  6. Accept on CAPS: when an offer appears, log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, choose Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS, and accept. JAMB gave 2026 candidates four weeks to accept or reject an offer.
  7. Pay acceptance and register: third-party fee guides put the Amadeus acceptance fee at ₦200,000. Pay only through the channel on your admission letter or the portal, then print your JAMB admission letter for clearance.

For the 2026/2027 cycle, JAMB set 30 November 2026 as the admission deadline for private universities, so Amadeus’s 2026/2027 admissions run until that date at the latest. Amadeus’s home page said admissions were open when I checked on 29 October 2026, but it did not give its own closing date. For 2027/2028, plan around the same pattern: sit the 2027 UTME, keep Amadeus on your JAMB profile and apply on the portal once it reopens.

Before you pay anyone

Free-advert forums carry posts claiming Amadeus “admission lists” and “post-UTME forms” with private phone numbers that do not appear on the university’s website. Apply only at admissions.amadeus.edu.ng and use the contacts on amadeus.edu.ng. JAMB has said any admission done outside CAPS is illegal, so a real offer will always show on your CAPS page.

Official contacts on the Amadeus website: phone +234 708 063 1863, toll-free 0800 123 5100, WhatsApp +234 908 796 6353 and admissions@amadeus.edu.ng. When your CAPS status changes, our JAMB CAPS guide explains what each status means and how to accept.

I could not open the fee page on the Amadeus website, so these figures come from Campusfees (17 September 2026), a third-party fee guide. The acceptance fee, medical insurance, library and ICT, laboratory and accommodation lines match the 2024/2025 schedule that Myschool News published in June 2024, which gives me some confidence in them. Treat the tuition line as a guide, check the official Tuition and Fees page on amadeus.edu.ng before you pay, and remember that feeding, books and transport are extra.

Studying Business Administration at Amadeus University

Amadeus University is a private university at Amizi in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, not far from Umuahia. NUC licensed it in June 2023, teaching began in September 2024, the inaugural matriculation was held in February 2025, and its founder is Dr Godwin Nwabunka. Its Vice-Chancellor is Prof. Samuel Nzotta. The admission page now lists 22 programmes across the Faculties of Science and Computing, Allied Health Sciences, Social and Management Sciences, Engineering, Pharmacy and Law and a College of Medicine.

What you study

  • Early years: principles of management, introductory economics, business mathematics, principles of accounting and general studies courses.
  • Middle years: marketing, human resource management, organisational behaviour, business law, production and operations management and business statistics.
  • Final years: strategic management, financial management, international business, small business management, an industrial attachment and a research project.
  • Practical skills: business plans, presentations, spreadsheet analysis and report writing.

That outline matches the usual Nigerian B.Sc. Business Administration. Amadeus has not published its own course list, so check the departmental handbook when you resume.

Duration and accreditation

UTME entrants normally take four years; Direct Entry students start at 200 level. Amadeus’s admission page does not state the duration.

I found no NUC accreditation result for Business Administration at Amadeus. The university has no entry at all in NUC’s accreditation results for 1990 to 2025, published in September 2026, and no NUC programme report names Amadeus for this course. That is expected for a university that began teaching in September 2024: NUC normally visits a new programme before its first set graduates. So the status is not yet accredited by NUC (not confirmed). The course runs under the university’s NUC licence, and NUC granted Amadeus a full operational licence in September 2026, according to the university’s news page. A full licence is about the university as a whole and is not the same as programme accreditation.

Careers after the degree

  • Management trainee programmes in banks, FMCG companies and telecoms
  • Sales, marketing, brand and customer relationship roles
  • Human resources and administration
  • Running a family business or your own company
  • Postgraduate study such as an MBA or M.Sc. in management, marketing or HR

Mistakes that cost Business Administration applicants a place

  • No Mathematics in the UTME: JAMB’s line makes it compulsory.
  • No Economics in the UTME or at O’level: both are named on the brochure line.
  • An Arts subject as the third UTME subject: the line asks for a Social Science subject.
  • Trusting a “140” cut-off: JAMB’s minimum for universities is 150.
  • CAPS and portal not matching: pick Business Administration in both places.
  • Paying an agent: forms are on admissions.amadeus.edu.ng.
