Amadeus University Entrepreneurship Cut-Off Mark 2027/2028 & Admission Requirements

Amadeus University has no separate cut-off for Entrepreneurship, so JAMB’s 150 applies. See the subject combination, O’level science credit rule, fees of N1,080,000, selection process and CAPS steps.

The Amadeus University cut-off mark for Entrepreneurship is 150 in the UTME, the minimum JAMB set for all universities for 2026/2027. Amadeus University, Amizi has not published a separate cut-off for Entrepreneurship or for any of its Social and Management Sciences courses. Its admission page only says your score must meet the national minimum and faculty requirements, so 150 is the floor and a higher score makes your application stronger.

2027/2028 update: Amadeus University cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

Entrepreneurship sits in the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences and leads to a B.Sc. It is also the course closest to how Amadeus describes itself: a university meant to turn out job creators. Below you will find the official figures, a safe target score (my advice, clearly labelled), the JAMB subject combination, O’level and Direct Entry rules, the current fees, how selection works and the CAPS steps.

Amadeus University is a private university at Amizi in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State. It was founded by Dr Godwin Nwabunka, who chairs the board of Grooming Centre, received its NUC licence in June 2023 (ThisDay, 17 June 2023) and held its inaugural matriculation in February 2025. Its Vice-Chancellor is Prof. Samuel Nzotta.

Entrepreneurship is on the university’s own programme list as B.Sc. Entrepreneurship, under the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences. It also appears in the list of 19 course names that follows JAMB’s naming (universitycourses.ng, updated February 2026). I could not open JAMB’s own Amadeus list directly, so when you pick Amadeus on the JAMB portal, check that Entrepreneurship comes up under it before you pay for anything.

The only course-level scores Amadeus has given in public are for Medicine (200 and above) and Pharmacy (180), both mentioned by the Vice-Chancellor when the 2025/2026 intake was open. Nothing similar exists for Entrepreneurship. Treat any website that prints an “Amadeus Entrepreneurship cut-off” above 150 as a guess.

Safe target score for Entrepreneurship at Amadeus (my advice)

Amadeus is new and private, it opened in 2025, and Entrepreneurship is not one of the courses that attract the heaviest competition in Nigeria. Meeting 150 with the right subjects is the main hurdle. Still, a margin helps when the university weighs applicants against one another. These bands are my reading, not Amadeus policy.

Your UTME scoreMy read for Amadeus Entrepreneurship
Below 150Not eligible for any Amadeus degree course
150 to 164Eligible; correct subjects and a clean O’level matter most
165 to 189Good chance
190 and aboveStrong, and worth asking about merit scholarships

For the 2027 UTME I would aim for 165 or more. That gives you room above the floor and keeps Business Administration, Accounting and Economics open as fallback courses at most private universities.

JAMB subject combination and O’level for Amadeus Entrepreneurship

JAMB’s brochure lists Entrepreneurship twice, once under Social and Management Sciences and once under Administration. Both entries give the same core rules, and neither carries a special remark for Amadeus.

RequirementWhat appliesSource
UTME subjectsUse of English, Economics, Mathematics and one other Social Science or Commercial subjectJAMB brochure (both entries)
O’level creditsEnglish Language, Mathematics, Economics, one science subject and one Social Science or Commercial subjectJAMB brochure

SittingsOne or twoExamkits report of the Amadeus 2025/2026 notice

Amadeus remark in the JAMB brochureNoneMyschool reprint of the brochure

A safe set for Amadeus is Use of English, Economics, Mathematics and Government. Commerce or Accounting also fit as the fourth subject because JAMB accepts a Commercial subject. Do not drop Mathematics or Economics: both are named in the UTME rule.

The O’level rule is where Arts and Commercial students slip. JAMB asks for a credit in one science subject on top of English, Mathematics and Economics. Biology, Agricultural Science, Chemistry or Physics all count. Your fifth credit can be Commerce, Financial Accounting, Government, Geography or another Social Science subject.

Direct Entry into Entrepreneurship at Amadeus

JAMB’s Direct Entry rule is two A-level passes, one in Economics and the other in Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Mathematics. Some universities add ND, HND, NCE or JUPEB routes in their own remarks, but Amadeus has none in the brochure and its admission page does not describe Direct Entry at all. If you hold an ND in Business Administration or a JUPEB result, email admissions@amadeus.edu.ng and get a written answer before you register for Direct Entry.

How Amadeus selects Entrepreneurship candidates

Amadeus has not published a post-UTME test, form fee or screening date for Entrepreneurship. Its admission overview says decisions consider academic performance together with character, extracurricular activities and social involvement, and that it is open to candidates from underserved communities. A 2024 admission blog also said applicants are interviewed and must be at least 16 when the course starts; the university’s own page does not repeat either point, so treat them as likely but unconfirmed.

Worked example (illustrative only)

Amadeus publishes no aggregate formula, so this example checks eligibility rather than ranking. It uses the rules above and my safe target of 165.

  1. Chidera: UTME 171 with English, Economics, Mathematics and Commerce. O’level credits in English, Mathematics, Economics, Biology and Commerce at one sitting. She clears every rule and sits 6 marks above my target.
  2. Obinna: UTME 182 with English, Economics, Government and CRS. His score is higher, but Mathematics is missing from his UTME subjects, so he does not meet JAMB’s rule for Entrepreneurship.
  3. Ifeoma: UTME 158, right subjects, but her O’level has no science credit. She would need to add a Biology or Agricultural Science credit, from a second sitting, before she can be offered the course.
  4. If Amadeus interviews: Chidera’s chances improve further if she can talk about a small business, club or project she has run, because Amadeus says it weighs activities and character as well as scores.

Amadeus University Entrepreneurship school fees

Amadeus publishes its fees on its own tuition and fees page. The page does not print a session heading, but it lists Law as starting in 2026/2027, so it is the current schedule. All amounts are per session. Entrepreneurship is charged N1,080,000 in tuition.

ItemAmountWho pays
Entrepreneurship tuitionN1,080,000Every session
Acceptance fee (non-refundable)N200,000New students, once
Medical insuranceN85,000Listed under other fees
Library and ICTN120,000Listed under other fees
Laboratory and workshopsN50,000Listed under other fees
Hostel, two-person roomN900,000Per bed space, if you live on campus
Hostel, four-person roomN550,000Per bed space, limited allocation

Add tuition, acceptance and the three other fees and a new Entrepreneurship student needs about N1,535,000 before accommodation. With a four-person room the first year comes to about N2,085,000, and with a two-person room about N2,435,000. Books, feeding and transport are extra. Amadeus does not say on that page whether fees can be paid in instalments, so ask the bursary before you plan.

The acceptance fee, the three other fees and the N900,000 two-person room were the same in the 2024/2025 schedule Myschool reported in June 2024, so these charges have held steady since the first intake.

Scholarships at Amadeus

The Sun (20 November 2025) reported three schemes linked to the founder: the Dr Godwin Nwabunka Foundation scholarship (tuition, service charges and accommodation for students from low-income homes), Grooming Centre awards (full scholarships for children of its active clients and tuition-only awards for children of its staff), and Grooming Endowment Trust awards for academically strong Nigerian undergraduates. Ask the admissions office whether each one is open in your year and how to apply.

How to apply for Entrepreneurship at Amadeus University, step by step

  1. Get your JAMB profile code: text NIN, a space, then your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone number linked to your NIN.
  2. Register for the UTME: pick Amadeus University, Amizi and the course Entrepreneurship, with Use of English, Economics, Mathematics and one Social Science or Commercial subject. If you wrote another school first, use a JAMB change of institution before admission closes.
  3. Upload your O’level to CAPS: at a JAMB office or accredited CBT centre, enter your WAEC, NECO or NABTEB details. Amadeus cannot offer you a place on CAPS without them.
  4. Apply on the Amadeus portal: create an account at admissions.amadeus.edu.ng, choose Entrepreneurship, fill the form, upload your result and keep your printout.
  5. Attend selection: Amadeus says it looks at your results together with character, extracurricular activities and background. Ask the admissions office whether there is an interview or test for your intake and when it holds.
  6. Accept on CAPS: on efacility.jamb.gov.ng, choose Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS. In 2026 JAMB gave candidates four weeks to accept an offer. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status.
  7. Pay acceptance and clear: the acceptance fee on the current schedule is N200,000. Pay only through channels on the admission portal or the official fees page, then bring your original documents for clearance.

For the 2026/2027 cycle, JAMB set 30 November 2026 as the admission deadline for private universities (NAN, 11 May 2026). Amadeus is private, so that date governed 2026/2027 offers. JAMB also says any admission done outside CAPS is illegal.

Warning

Forum and classified sites carry posts saying the Amadeus 2026/2027 form or admission list is out, each with a different private phone number. Amadeus applications run only through admissions.amadeus.edu.ng, its listed lines are +234 708 063 1863 and the toll-free 0800 123 5100, and a real offer always shows on JAMB CAPS. Never pay an agent for a place.

Studying Entrepreneurship at Amadeus University

The degree is a B.Sc. in the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences. Amadeus does not state the length on its programme page; a B.Sc. in this faculty normally runs four years, or three through Direct Entry.

Is Amadeus Entrepreneurship accredited?

Not confirmed. NUC’s consolidated list of accreditation results up to 2025 (published September 2026) has no Amadeus entry at all, which is normal for a university whose first students arrived in 2025: NUC usually accredits a programme when its first set approaches final year. One NUC report page does attach a full accreditation result (91%, visit dated 3 to 5 May 2021) to Amadeus Entrepreneurship, but that date is two years before the university was licensed, so I do not treat it as a real accreditation. Ask the department to show you its current NUC status in writing.

What you will study

Amadeus has not posted a course outline. Entrepreneurship degrees in Nigeria usually cover:

  • Foundations: principles of entrepreneurship, economics, business mathematics and introductory accounting.
  • Starting a venture: opportunity spotting, feasibility studies and business plan writing.
  • Running a business: small business management, marketing, operations and human resources.
  • Money: venture finance, microfinance, bookkeeping and tax for small firms.
  • Growth and innovation: innovation management, family business, social entrepreneurship and digital business.
  • Practice and research: industrial attachment, a business project and a final-year research project.

The Vice-Chancellor has described Amadeus as practically oriented, with an entrepreneurial culture meant to produce graduates who create jobs. If that is what draws you, ask at screening how much of the course is hands-on: incubation space, student ventures or mentorship from the founder’s Grooming Centre network.

Graduates start their own businesses or work as small business advisers, business development officers, enterprise development staff in banks and microfinance firms, programme officers in NGOs that fund small businesses, and in sales and marketing roles.

Mistakes Entrepreneurship applicants make

  • No Mathematics in the UTME: JAMB names it for this course, along with Economics.
  • No science credit: the O’level rule asks for one science subject, which Commercial students often lack.
  • Treating 150 as admission: it only makes you eligible to be considered.
  • Paying an agent: Amadeus admits through its own portal and JAMB CAPS.
  • Ignoring CAPS: an offer you do not accept on CAPS can lapse.
