Peaceland University Cyber Security Cut-Off Mark 2027/2028 and Admission Requirements

Peaceland University has published no separate Cyber Security cut-off, so JAMB’s 150 minimum applies. Subject combination, safe target score, screening, CAPS steps and accreditation status explained.

The Peaceland University Cyber Security cut-off mark is 150 in the UTME, the national minimum JAMB set for universities in 2026/2027. Peaceland University, Enugu has not announced a separate cut-off for Cyber Security or for any other course, so a candidate with 150 or more and the right subjects can be considered. The course is on Peaceland’s JAMB list as Cyber Security, in the Faculty of Science and Computing.

2027/2028 update: Peaceland University cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

Cyber Security is one of the newer computing degrees in Nigeria, and many candidates are unsure which subjects JAMB wants or how it differs from Computer Science. This guide covers the official minimum, my safe target score, the JAMB brochure requirements, what Peaceland has published about screening, a worked example, the CAPS steps and the accreditation position.

Cut-off history for Cyber Security at Peaceland

SessionFigureWhat it is
2026/2027150JAMB national minimum for universities. Peaceland published no course figure
2025/2026150JAMB national minimum for universities (July 2025). No Peaceland figure found

Peaceland was founded in 2023 from Peaceland College of Education, Enugu, which is still a separate college. A university this new has no history of departmental cut-offs, so any “official Peaceland Cyber Security cut-off” you see online should come with a link to a Peaceland notice. I did not find one.

Safe target score for Cyber Security at Peaceland (my advice)

Peaceland does not publish merit lists, so this is my reading as an admissions adviser.

Your UTME scoreMy read for Peaceland
Below 150Not eligible for any Nigerian university degree this cycle
150 to 169Eligible. Fine if your O’level grades are good, but have a second option ready
170 to 189Comfortable for a new private university
190 to 219Strong. You would also clear ESUT’s 200 line at the top of this range
220 and aboveVery strong. You have real choices among Enugu universities

I would aim for 170 or more in the 2027 UTME, with good credits in Mathematics and Physics. Cyber Security tends to draw fewer applicants than Computer Science at the same school, so it can be a sensible first choice if security is the field you want. It is not a back door, though: the subject rules are the same as for Computer Science, and you study much of the same core in the first two years.

Is Cyber Security on Peaceland’s JAMB course list?

Yes. I checked Myschool’s reprint of the JAMB course list for Peaceland University on 30 October 2026. It has 30 entries, and Cyber Security is one of them, alongside Computer Science and Software Engineering. When you register, choose Cyber Security as the course and Peaceland University as the institution. Data Science and Information Science, which Peaceland also advertised, were not on that JAMB list when I checked.

UTME subject combination and O’level for Peaceland Cyber Security

RequirementCyber Security (JAMB brochure, general entry)
UTME subjectsUse of English, Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Economics or Geography
O’levelFive credits including English Language, Mathematics and Physics, plus two other science subjects
Exams acceptedWAEC, NECO or NABTEB (JAMB’s usual list; Peaceland has not published a sitting rule)
Direct EntryTwo A-level passes in science subjects including Mathematics, or NCE merit in Mathematics and one other science or social science subject
Peaceland remarkNone. The brochure page names no special rule for Peaceland

Some universities add their own twist. On the same JAMB brochure page, FUTA asks for Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics, and the Federal University Dutse wants Chemistry or Biology as the third subject. Peaceland has no remark there, so the general line applies. If you are unsure, take Chemistry as your fourth subject; it satisfies the general rule and every special one on that page.

Direct Entry

JAMB’s general Direct Entry line for Cyber Security is two A-level passes in science subjects including Mathematics, or an NCE merit in Mathematics and one other science or social science subject. Peaceland has not published whether it takes ND holders into 200 level, so confirm that before you register for DE.

Peaceland screening for Cyber Security

No Post-UTME test, screening date or aggregate formula for 2026/2027 appears in any Peaceland source I reached. The April 2026 notice only said admission was open and listed the programmes. New private universities usually screen by checking UTME scores and O’level results online, sometimes with a short test or interview, so prepare for both and follow the portal instructions.

Worked example for a Cyber Security candidate (illustration only)

Peaceland has not published a screening formula. Many Nigerian universities combine the UTME score with O’level grades, so here is one common method, used only to show how your numbers could add up. It is not Peaceland’s rule.

  • UTME part: UTME score divided by 8, out of 50.
  • O’level part: five relevant subjects scored A1 = 10, B2 = 9, B3 = 8, C4 = 7, C5 = 6, C6 = 5, out of 50.

Chiamaka scored 172 in the UTME and has B2 in Mathematics, B3 in English, C4 in Physics, B3 in Chemistry and C5 in Biology from one sitting.

  1. UTME part: 172 ÷ 8 = 21.50.
  2. O’level part: 38 out of 50.
  3. Illustrative total: 21.50 + 38 = 59.50 out of 100.
  4. Against the minimum: 172 minus 150 = 22. Chiamaka clears JAMB’s line by 22 marks.

If Peaceland sets a test or an interview, that score would change the picture. What does not change is that the O’level carries real weight under most methods, so a C6 in Mathematics or Physics hurts more than a few UTME marks.

How to apply for Cyber Security at Peaceland, step by step

  1. Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN.
  2. Register the UTME correctly: pick Cyber Security as the course and Peaceland University as the institution, with Use of English, Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Economics or Geography.
  3. Fix your choice if you chose another school: if Peaceland was not your choice in the 2026 UTME, do a JAMB change of institution before you apply. Peaceland can only offer you admission through CAPS if it is on your JAMB profile.
  4. Upload your O’level to CAPS: go to a JAMB-accredited CBT centre and have your WAEC, NECO or NABTEB result uploaded. A university cannot recommend you on CAPS without it.
  5. Apply to Peaceland: Peaceland’s 2026/2027 advert pointed candidates to its online application portal at apply.peacelanduni.edu.ng. The university’s fee schedule lists the admission form at ₦10,000; no screening date has been published, so read the instructions on the portal itself.
  6. Attend screening and print everything: keep your UTME result slip, O’level results, birth certificate or age declaration, local government identification and the application acknowledgement together.
  7. Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS. Accept only an offer for the course you want. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status.
  8. Pay acceptance and school fees through official channels: Peaceland’s fee schedule lists acceptance at ₦10,000 and a total of ₦320,000 at 100 level and ₦440,000 at 200 and 300 level, with tuition payable 60% and then 40%. Pay only through the official portal or the Admissions Office.

Warning

Adverts that sell Peaceland University forms or “admission slots” through private phone numbers and agents circulate online. JAMB says any admission outside CAPS is illegal, so a genuine Peaceland offer will show on your CAPS page. Apply only through the university’s own portal and pay only into accounts the university confirms in writing.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (11 May 2026), JAMB set 30 November 2026 as the 2026/2027 admission deadline for private universities. Peaceland’s 2026/2027 admissions can run until that date, so keep checking CAPS if you applied. For a fresh attempt in 2027, see when JAMB 2027 registration starts and our guide to checking your JAMB result.

What you study in Cyber Security

Peaceland has not published a curriculum. Under NUC’s computing standards, Cyber Security is a separate B.Sc. from Computer Science, usually four years, and the outline below is typical of Nigerian programmes.

  • Early levels: mathematics, physics, programming, computer systems and the general studies courses.
  • Middle levels: networking, operating systems, databases, cryptography, secure programming, and law and ethics of computing, followed by SIWES industrial training.
  • Final year: digital forensics, penetration testing, security management and a project.
  • Careers: security analyst, network and systems security, digital forensics, IT audit and risk work in banks, telecoms and government, and postgraduate study.

Many security employers also look for professional certificates on top of the degree. Those are taken separately and are not part of Peaceland’s admission process.

Accreditation

Peaceland announced full NUC accreditation for Cyber Security after NUC’s October/November 2025 exercise. It is one of 17 programmes on the list reported by Uniblog NG on 23 April 2026, and the university’s own news post of 1 May 2026 confirms the full accreditation of “Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Accountancy, and several others”. I found no NUC report page for the programme, so the status rests on the university’s announcement.

The NUC reports online under the Peaceland name are for Peaceland College of Education, Enugu and its degree programmes affiliated to Abia State University, so they say nothing about the university’s Cyber Security either way.

Mistakes Cyber Security applicants make

  • Registering without Physics: JAMB’s combination needs Mathematics and Physics.
  • Assuming a new course has no subject rules: Cyber Security follows the Computer Science line in the brochure.
  • Leaving O’level off CAPS: the university cannot recommend you without it.
  • Paying an agent: admission comes through CAPS only.
  • Ignoring a CAPS transfer offer: if Peaceland offers Computer Science or Software Engineering instead, compare before you reject it.

Peaceland University Cyber Security cut-off mark: frequently asked questions

Can I study Cyber Security at Peaceland with 150? Yes, 150 meets JAMB’s minimum and Peaceland has not published anything higher. Your O’level grades and any screening Peaceland runs will decide the rest.

Is Chemistry compulsory for Cyber Security in JAMB? No. The general rule is Use of English, Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Economics or Geography. Chemistry is the safest fourth subject because some universities insist on it.

How many years is Cyber Security at Peaceland University? Peaceland has not stated it. B.Sc. Cyber Security in Nigeria usually runs for four years for UTME entrants.

Is Peaceland University Cyber Security accredited by NUC? Yes, by Peaceland’s account.
