Peaceland University Health Information Management Cut-Off Mark and Admission Requirements 2027/2028

Peaceland University has no published Health Information Management cut-off, so JAMB’s 150 applies. Here are the safest UTME subjects, O’level plan, safe target score, application steps and the HRORBN accreditation question.

The Peaceland University Health Information Management cut off mark is 150, the JAMB minimum for all universities in 2026. Peaceland University, Enugu has not published a separate score for its Bachelor of Health Information Management (B.HIM), so anyone with 150 or more in the UTME, Peaceland as their choice and the right O’level credits can be considered.

2027/2028 update: Peaceland University cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

Health Information Management is on JAMB’s list for Peaceland as Health Information Management, and the university’s 2026/2027 advert lists “B. HIM Health Information Management” in its Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. One gap you should know about: the JAMB brochure entry for this course was blank on the copy I could read, so the subject combination below is the safest choice rather than a quoted rule. Confirm it on the JAMB e-brochure when you register.

Is there a Peaceland cut-off for Health Information Management?

Peaceland has not published one. Universities declared their own 2026 cut-offs to JAMB in May, and News Central TV’s list of those declarations does not include Peaceland. The 2026/2027 advert summarised by Myschool News lists the B.HIM with no score, and earlier form announcements (June 2025, May 2026) gave none either.

With no departmental figure, admission comes down to how many people apply and how many places the NUC allows. Peaceland’s Pro-Chancellor told the NUC at the university’s second matriculation that its quotas were too small for the number of qualified applicants (TheCable). My view is that HIM, a newer degree, will see less pressure than Nursing.

Safe target score for HIM at Peaceland (my advice)

This is my judgement as an admissions adviser. Peaceland has not published bands.

UTME scoreMy read for Peaceland HIM
Below 150Not eligible
150 to 164Eligible; get every O’level credit right
165 to 179Fair chance
180 to 199Good chance
200 and aboveVery safe for this course

My target for 2027 is 180 or more. It leaves a margin if Peaceland starts publishing departmental figures as it grows.

UTME subjects and O’level for Health Information Management

Choosing your UTME subjects

Myschool’s reprint of the JAMB university brochure page for Health Information Management shows the headings with no content, so I could not quote JAMB’s exact wording. Here is what I could confirm and how I would choose:

  • JAMB’s polytechnic brochure entry for Health Information Management asks for Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics or Biology, with Use of English.
  • Peaceland has not published its own subject list, and I could not read JAMB’s university wording for the course.
  • I would register Use of English, Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. It matches the polytechnic entry and keeps Biology, which a health degree is very likely to want. Check the course page on the JAMB e-brochure on registration day before you pay.

O’level and Direct Entry

RequirementWhat I would plan for
O’level creditsFive, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry, with Physics as the fifth
Exam bodiesWAEC, NECO or NABTEB (JAMB’s general rule)
SittingsNot published by Peaceland; one sitting is safer
Direct EntryNot published by Peaceland. Ask whether it accepts the ND or HND in Health Information Management

Health records officers trained at diploma level are a natural Direct Entry pool for the B.HIM, but I could not find Peaceland’s rules for them. Do not buy a DE form for Peaceland until the admissions office confirms in writing that your diploma is accepted.

How screening works and a worked example

No Peaceland Post-UTME notice with a date, fee or formula has come out for 2026/2027. Applications go through the university’s portal, and Myschool reported admissions as ongoing from 28 April 2026. JAMB gave private universities until 30 November 2026 to finish 2026/2027 admissions, and offers must go through CAPS.

Worked example (illustrative)

Peaceland has no published formula, so this only compares a score with the minimum and my target.

Kosisochukwu scored 176 with Use of English, Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. Her NECO shows B3 English, C4 Mathematics, B2 Biology, C5 Chemistry and C6 Physics from one sitting.

  1. Minimum: 176 minus 150 = 26 marks clear.
  2. Target: 180 minus 176 = 4 short of my “good chance” band.
  3. O’level: five credits covering every subject I listed.
  4. My advice: apply early, keep the CAPS upload done before applying, and she should be in a sound position for HIM.

Obinna scored 190 but has a D7 in Chemistry. His score is good, but the missing Chemistry credit is the bigger problem. He should fix it in the next WAEC or NECO before relying on this course.

How to apply for Health Information Management at Peaceland

  1. Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN. JAMB replies with the profile code you take to the registration centre.
  2. Register the UTME with the right course name: pick Peaceland University and the course listed as Health Information Management, with Use of English and the three science subjects the JAMB e-brochure lists for the course (I would use Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics). Make Peaceland your first choice. If it was not, do a JAMB change of institution before the university starts admitting.
  3. Upload your O’level to CAPS: visit a JAMB-accredited centre and have your WAEC, NECO or NABTEB result uploaded. A private university cannot recommend you on CAPS without it.
  4. Apply on the Peaceland portal: the 2026/2027 advert pointed candidates to the university’s application portal (apply.peacelanduni.edu.ng, “Enroll Now”). Fill the form with the same names, JAMB number and course you used at JAMB, and keep every receipt.
  5. Do the screening: Peaceland has not published its screening format. Prepare for a document check at least, and possibly a test or interview. I would take your UTME result slip, O’level results, birth certificate or age declaration, LGA identification and passport photographs.
  6. Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, choose Check Admission Status and open Access my CAPS. Accept the offer there. JAMB gives four weeks to accept or reject, according to its 2026 policy meeting.
  7. Pay acceptance and clear: Peaceland’s fee schedule lists acceptance at ₦10,000 and a total of ₦220,000 a session, with tuition payable 60% and then 40%. Pay only through the official portal or the Admissions Office.

Warning

Peaceland University and Peaceland College of Education, Enugu run separate admissions. Make sure your portal, receipts and CAPS offer all name Peaceland University, and pay only through the university’s own portal or account.

Studying Health Information Management at Peaceland

Health Information Management is about the records side of health care: patient records, coding of diseases and procedures, hospital statistics, and the systems that keep data accurate and private. Peaceland places it in the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. The university has not published the course outline or duration; university HIM degrees in Nigeria commonly run for four years, so confirm Peaceland’s on the portal.

Accreditation and registration

  • NUC: Health Information Management is not among the 17 programmes Peaceland announced as fully accredited after NUC’s October/November 2025 exercise (reported by Uniblog NG on 23 April 2026), and I found no NUC report naming Peaceland University for it. Status: not confirmed.
  • HRORBN: the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria regulates health records practice and accredits training programmes. UNTH’s School of Health Information Management is HRORBN-accredited, and Allschool has reported that Iconic Open University secured full HRORBN accreditation for its B.HIM. I found no HRORBN record for Peaceland. Status: not confirmed.
  • Do not confuse: NUC reports that mention “Peaceland” (Chemistry Education, Physics Education, FULL, November 2024) belong to Peaceland College of Education’s ABSU-affiliated degrees.
  • What to ask: whether the B.HIM has NUC approval, whether HRORBN has visited, and whether graduates will be able to register and be inducted by HRORBN.

What you study and career paths

  • Foundation: basic sciences, anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Records and data: health records management, disease and procedure coding (ICD), medical statistics, health informatics and electronic records, and medico-legal aspects of records.
  • Management: health services administration and quality assurance.
  • Careers: health records officer in hospitals, health data and monitoring and evaluation roles, health insurance claims, and health informatics.

In Enugu, the established route into this field has been the diploma programme at UNTH; see our UNTH School of Health Information Management guide. At Peaceland, compare HIM with:

Mistakes HIM applicants make

  • Not checking the e-brochure: the subject rule for this course is the one thing to confirm on registration day.
  • Missing Chemistry or Biology at O’level: plan to have credits in both.
  • Choosing a similar course name: pick “Health Information Management”, not Health Education or Information Science, unless that is what you want.
  • No O’level on CAPS: Peaceland cannot recommend you without it.
  • Paying before confirming accreditation: ask first.
