Peaceland University Education and Biology Cut-Off Mark 2027/2028 and Admission Requirements

Peaceland University takes 150 in the UTME for Education and Biology, with no Education screening test published. See the JAMB subjects, O’level, Direct Entry, official fees, accreditation status and CAPS steps.

The Peaceland University Education and Biology cut-off mark is 150 in the UTME, which is JAMB’s national minimum for universities for 2026/2027. Peaceland, a private university in Enugu, has not published a separate cut-off for Education and Biology or for any other course, and it has announced no post-UTME test for its Education programmes. With 150 or more, the right subjects and five O’level credits, you can apply.

2027/2028 update: Peaceland University cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

The course is on Peaceland’s JAMB list under the exact name “Education and Biology”, so that is what you pick on the JAMB portal. It is also on the university’s own website, where the Faculty of Education shows it as B.Sc.(Ed) Biology. Both lists were checked on 30 October 2026, so the programme is current.

Peaceland University only began admitting students in the 2023/2024 session, so it has a short history and has never published a departmental cut-off for any course. If a blog shows you a “Peaceland Education and Biology cut-off” of 180 or 200, ask where it came from. I could not find one figure that traces back to the university.

Safe target score for Education and Biology at Peaceland (my advice)

This table is my own judgement as an admissions adviser. Peaceland has not published it.

Your UTME scoreMy read for Education and Biology at Peaceland
Below 150Not eligible for a Peaceland degree this session
150 to 169Eligible. A fair chance if your O’level credits are complete and uploaded
170 to 189Comfortable for Peaceland, and it keeps a state university backup in view
190 and aboveStrong. You could also aim at ESUT or UNN, whose Education courses took 160 in 2026/2027

Education courses at private universities rarely fill up the way Nursing or Medical Laboratory Science do, and that is why 150 is realistic here. I would still aim for 170 or more. It protects you if the NUC quota fills early, and it keeps ESUT’s Education Biology (160 in 2026/2027) open as a second option.

UTME subject combination and O’level for Education and Biology at Peaceland

RequirementEducation and Biology
UTME subjectsUse of English, Biology and two of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics (JAMB’s usual combination)
O’levelFive credits: English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and one other subject
Direct EntryNCE or A level passes in Biology and one other science subject
Peaceland remark in the brochureNone
Number of sittingsNot stated by Peaceland; upload every sitting you use

The O’level line above is JAMB’s brochure entry for Education and Biology as reprinted by Myschool. The UTME section of that same page came up empty when I checked it on 30 October 2026, so the UTME line is the combination JAMB normally prints for this course, which teaching and admission sites also repeat. Confirm it on the official JAMB e-brochure when you register.

My own choice would be Biology, Chemistry and Physics. That combination also satisfies Peaceland’s science degrees such as Microbiology, so you keep the option of a course change on CAPS. Do not register Agricultural Science or Geography as one of your three subjects for this course.

For the fifth O’level credit, Physics is the safest pick. Peaceland has not said whether it accepts two sittings. Most Nigerian universities do, but upload both results to CAPS and mention both on the Peaceland form.

Direct Entry into Education and Biology

Peaceland accepts Direct Entry applicants on its e-admission page but has published no Education-specific DE rules. JAMB’s line for Education and Biology asks for NCE or A level passes in Biology and one other science. Some universities insist on an NCE at merit level, but Peaceland is not named in those remarks. If you hold an NCE in Biology combined with another science, register DE with JAMB and choose Peaceland.

How Peaceland admits Education and Biology candidates

Peaceland has not published a post-UTME examination for any Education course. The only Peaceland screening test I found in public notices was the one of 18 September 2024, and it covered six health courses only (Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Physiotherapy, Community Health, Environmental Health and Public Health). For Education, admission so far has been by online application on the university’s portal, followed by a recommendation on JAMB CAPS.

Peaceland’s intake is still capped by the admission quota the NUC gives it. At its second matriculation, the Pro-Chancellor, Felix Ugwuozor, asked the NUC to raise that quota because qualified applicants were being turned away (TheCable). Once you pass 150, applying early, a complete O’level and a higher UTME score all help.

Worked example

Peaceland has no published aggregate formula, so I compare each score with the 150 minimum and my 170 target. The candidates below are illustrations.

  1. Chidinma scored 158 with Biology, Chemistry and Physics. That is 8 above the minimum and 12 below my target. Her five credits came in one sitting. I would expect her to be considered, and I would tell her to apply on the portal as soon as it opens.
  2. Kelechi scored 181 with Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. He is 31 above the minimum and also clears ESUT’s 160. He can apply to Peaceland and still keep a state university option.
  3. Somto scored 146. He is 4 short of 150, so Peaceland cannot admit him into a degree this session. A 2027 UTME resit is his straightest route. Peaceland also ran an IJMB programme in 2024, which leads to Direct Entry; ask the university whether it is still running before you pay.

Peaceland University Education and Biology school fees

Peaceland’s own fee page lists one structure for the Department of Health and Human Kinetics and all other Education departments. Education and Biology falls under it.

Item (Faculty of Education)100 level200 level300 level
Tuition₦70,500₦70,500₦70,500
Other fees₦87,500₦74,500₦74,500
Accreditation charge₦42,000₦55,000₦55,000
Total for the session₦200,000₦200,000₦200,000

The 100 level “other fees” of ₦87,500 already include the admission form, processing and acceptance charges:

Part of the 100 level “other fees”Amount
Admission form (application)₦10,000
Admission processing₦5,000
Acceptance fee₦10,000
Matriculation₦7,000
Online course registration and ICT₦12,500
Health insurance₦20,000
E-library, handbook, ID card, utility, examination, sports, faculty and departmental fees₦23,000 together

For Education and Biology that means ₦200,000 in your first year, against ₦320,000 for a 100 level student in Peaceland’s Faculty of Science and Computing, where Microbiology sits. The schedule says other fees and the accreditation charge go in the first instalment, and tuition is split 60% and 40% across the second and third instalments. The page does not name a session or list hostel for Education, so confirm both on the portal before you pay.

How to apply for Education and Biology at Peaceland, step by step

  1. Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN.
  2. Register the right course: pick Peaceland University and the course named Education and Biology with English, Biology and two of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. If you already chose another school first, do a JAMB change of institution before you apply.
  3. Upload your O’level to CAPS: do it at a JAMB-accredited centre and include every sitting you want counted. Without it the university cannot recommend you.
  4. Apply on Peaceland’s portal: create an account on the e-admission page linked from peacelanduni.edu.ng (apply.peacelanduni.edu.ng), fill in your UTME details and O’level, pick Education and Biology and pay the ₦10,000 form fee shown on the fee schedule. Print your slip.
  5. Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status and then Access my CAPS, and accept the offer before you pay the university anything else. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status.
  6. Pay acceptance and fees: the acceptance fee is ₦10,000 and processing ₦5,000, both inside the first instalment. Pay only through the student portal or the Admissions Office, as the university’s website instructs.

Warning

Peaceland University and Peaceland College of Education, Enugu are different institutions with different portals. Make sure you are applying to the university, and pay nobody who claims to be an admission agent: the university says it has authorised none.

JAMB set 30 November 2026 as the 2026/2027 admission deadline for private universities, and admissions done outside CAPS are illegal. If your offer has not appeared on CAPS close to that date, contact the Admissions Office through the official website.

Studying Education and Biology at Peaceland University

Education and Biology is a four-year teacher-education degree that combines Biology content with Education courses and teaching practice. Graduates are trained to teach Biology and general science in secondary schools. Peaceland has not published a curriculum, so the outline below is what the degree normally covers in Nigeria.

Accreditation

  • NUC accreditation: full, as announced by Peaceland. After NUC’s October/November 2025 exercise, Peaceland announced full accreditation for 17 programmes, and Education and Biology (Biology Education) is one of them (reported by Uniblog NG on 23 April 2026; the university’s own post of 1 May 2026 names Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science and Accountancy “and several others”). I found no NUC report page naming the university for it, so the status rests on the university’s announcement.
  • The look-alike report: an NUC report gives Biology Education a full accreditation (82.14%, visit of 26 to 29 November 2024), but it names Peaceland College of Education, Enugu, in its degree programme affiliated to Abia State University, Uturu. That is the college, not the university.
  • Do not mix it up with the college: NUC reports that mention “Peaceland” for Education degrees belong to Peaceland College of Education, Enugu, whose degree programmes are affiliated to Abia State University. They say nothing about Peaceland University. JAMB’s 2026 NCE guide also stopped all 100 level and 200 level degree admission into colleges of education from 2026/2027, so a degree place now has to come through a university such as Peaceland.
  • What to ask: a copy of the NUC accreditation letter for B.Sc.(Ed) Biology, so you are not relying on the college’s report by mistake.

What you study

  • Biology content: cell biology, genetics, botany, zoology, ecology, physiology and microbiology, taken alongside science students.
  • Education core: history and philosophy of education, educational psychology, curriculum studies, measurement and evaluation, and methods of teaching Biology.
  • Practice: microteaching, a teaching practice placement in a secondary school, and a final-year project.

Careers

Most graduates teach Biology or Basic Science in public and private secondary schools. To teach in Nigeria you register with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) after graduation. Others go into science education roles with exam bodies, publishers and edtech companies, laboratory teaching posts, or an M.Ed. or M.Sc. Some later move into health education and environmental work.

Other Enugu options for this course: the ESUT Education Biology cut-off mark took 160 in 2026/2027, and the UNN Science Education cut-off mark also took 160. If you want to prepare for the Biology paper, our JAMB Biology syllabus lists every topic.

Mistakes Education and Biology applicants make

  • Applying to the college by mistake: Peaceland College of Education runs NCE courses in Biology. Check that the portal says Peaceland University.
  • Leaving out Chemistry at O’level: the brochure lists Chemistry among the required credits.
  • Skipping the CAPS upload: without it the university cannot recommend you, however good your score is.
  • Paying an “agent”: Peaceland says it has no admission agents. Pay only through the portal.

Sources and updates

The 150 minimum, the private-university deadline of 30 November 2026 and the rule that admissions outside CAPS are illegal come from the News Agency of Nigeria report of JAMB’s policy meeting (11 May 2026); the 2025/2026 figure is from Nairametrics (8 July 2025). Peaceland’s course list on JAMB comes from Myschool’s reprint of JAMB’s Peaceland list (checked 30 October 2026). The Education programme names, fee schedule, portal and warning about agents come from Peaceland University’s website and its fees page (checked 30 October 2026).
