Peaceland College of Education Agricultural Science Education (NCE) Cut-Off Mark 2027/2028 and Admission Requirements

Peaceland College of Education needs no UTME score for NCE Agricultural Science (Double Major) if you have four O’level credits, but JAMB registration and CAPS still apply. See the subjects, JAMB NCE costs, a worked example and how to apply.

There is no UTME cut-off mark for Agricultural Science Education (NCE) at Peaceland College of Education, Enugu for 2027/2028 candidates who have at least four O’level credits. The national admission policy of 11 May 2026 exempts four-credit NCE candidates from the UTME, but you must still register with JAMB and be admitted on CAPS. Peaceland has not published a separate cut-off for Agricultural Science.

2027/2028 update: Peaceland College of Education admission requirements and entry rules usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the rules on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official position (the 2026/2027 national admission policy and JAMB’s June 2026 NCE registration guide) and the college’s 2026/2027 admission notice as reprinted online. If the 2027/2028 rules change anything, we will update this page.

JAMB lists the course for Peaceland as Agricultural Science (Double Major): you study agriculture as a single subject for the whole NCE and learn to teach it. Below are the cut-off position, the O’level subjects that matter, the JAMB NCE costs, a worked example, the steps to apply and where an Agricultural Science NCE can lead.

JAMB did not announce a numeric minimum for colleges of education in 2026, and the 150 figure that some sites quote for Peaceland is the university minimum. On timing, Nairametrics (11 May 2026) said the exemption begins with the 2027 admission cycle, while JAMB’s June 2026 NCE registration guide and Legit (23 July 2026) show it already applied in 2026. For 2027/2028 the answer is the same either way: no UTME for NCE if you have four or more credits.

Peaceland Agricultural Science admission requirements

Peaceland has not published its own O’level list for 2026/2027; the requirements part of its reprinted notice is cut off. This table combines the national rule, the usual college of education pattern and JAMB’s brochure entry for the subject, which is written for degree admission.

RequirementWhat appliesSource
Number of creditsAt least fourNational policy, 11 May 2026
English Language and MathematicsExpected at credit levelUsual college of education pattern; Peaceland wording not published
Relevant creditsAgricultural Science or Biology, and ChemistryJAMB brochure entry for Agricultural Science and Education
SittingsNot more than twoUsual pattern
JAMB brochure O’level (degree level)Five credits including English, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science, plus Mathematics and another relevant subjectSame brochure entry
UTME for NCENot needed with four credits; JAMB registration still neededNational policy and JAMB guide

University remarks in the brochure show how strict the science side can be. UNN asks for a credit in Agricultural Science or Biology plus at least a pass in Chemistry, while UNIBEN and BUK want Chemistry among five credits. For an NCE, I would treat Agricultural Science or Biology as the subject you cannot do without, and Chemistry as the one that keeps a degree open later.

Which O’level profile is strongest?

Your O’level profileMy read for NCE Agricultural Science at Peaceland
No credit in English or MathematicsNot ready. Resit first
English, Mathematics and two arts subjects, no scienceMeets the count but weak on relevance
English, Mathematics, Agricultural Science and BiologyAcceptable for the NCE
English, Mathematics, Agricultural Science, Biology and ChemistryThe profile I would aim for

This ranking is my advice built on the JAMB brochure, not a Peaceland rule. The fifth credit in Chemistry matters most for candidates who plan to top up to a degree after the NCE.

If you are also sitting the UTME

If you also sit the UTME for a university Agricultural Education degree, the brochure’s main rule is any three of Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Physics, Economics, Geography and Mathematics, and UNN asks for Agricultural Science or Biology with Chemistry and one of Economics, Geography or Government. There is no Direct Entry into Peaceland: from 2026/2027 JAMB bars colleges of education from admitting into 100 or 200 level of any degree, so every entrant starts at NCE. Once the college recommends you for NCE, JAMB suspends any UTME or Direct Entry process you have running.

These are 2026 amounts and may change for 2027. Peaceland’s own form fee, acceptance fee and tuition were not in its notice as reprinted, so get them from the college bursary.

Peaceland screening for Agricultural Science

Peaceland opened its 2026/2027 admission portal in July 2026 (reported by Myschool on 18 July and AbsTechConnect on 21 July), but neither report gives a screening date, test, form price or portal address. No practical test for Agricultural Science has been announced. Under JAMB’s NCE flow, the college checks the O’level on your JAMB profile, proposes you on CAPS, and the Provost recommends you.

Worked example (illustrative)

Uchenna (an invented candidate) has WAEC in one sitting: English C6, Mathematics C5, Agricultural Science B3, Biology C4, Chemistry D7, Geography C6.

  1. Credit count: five (Chemistry at D7 is a pass, not a credit). Pass.
  2. English and Mathematics: both at credit. Pass.
  3. Relevant subjects: Agricultural Science and Biology. Strong for the NCE.
  4. Chemistry: a pass only. Fine for the NCE on the usual rule, and UNN’s degree remark accepts a Chemistry pass too, though some universities want a credit.
  5. Cost to JAMB: ₦1,500 for the verification code, ₦3,500 for the NCE application and ₦700 at the centre, on 2026 figures.

Adaeze (also invented) has English, Mathematics, Government, CRS and Literature at credit, with no science at all. She meets the four-credit count, but I would not put her forward for Agricultural Science. A Peaceland CRS or Social Studies pairing fits her result far better.

How to apply for Agricultural Science at Peaceland College of Education

  1. Get your JAMB profile code: text NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN.
  2. Buy the O’level verification code: ₦1,500 for one sitting or ₦2,000 for two (2026 figures).
  3. Register with JAMB for NCE: choose Peace Land College of Education and Agricultural Science (Double Major). If you registered for another school, use a JAMB change of institution.
  4. Upload your O’level to CAPS: the college cannot propose you until the result shows on your profile.
  5. Complete the college’s form: use only the portal or admission office named in Peaceland’s own notice, and pay only through an official invoice.
  6. Accept the offer on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS. JAMB allowed four weeks to accept in 2026/2027. Our JAMB CAPS guide shows each screen.
  7. Pay acceptance and register: confirm the acceptance fee with the college before you pay.

Warning

JAMB treats any admission outside CAPS as illegal. Nobody can sell you an Agricultural Science “slot” at Peaceland, and the college can no longer admit anyone straight into a degree. Confirm the course is admitting before you pay.

Your chances and common mistakes

Peaceland has not published how many Agricultural Science places it fills, so there are no real odds to quote. With no UTME score involved, a file usually stalls for practical reasons, and these are the ones I would check:

  • Choosing Agricultural Science without a science credit: fix this with a NECO or GCE resit in Agricultural Science or Biology before you register.
  • O’level not on CAPS: the college cannot propose you without it. Upload as soon as your result is out.
  • Names that do not match: your NIN, JAMB profile and O’level certificate should carry the same name.
  • Missing the CAPS window: the 2026/2027 window for colleges of education runs until 31 December 2026, and each offer must be accepted within the time JAMB sets.
