Peaceland University Cut-Off Mark for Physiotherapy 2027/2028: Requirements, Subject Combination and Screening

Peaceland University has not published a Physiotherapy cut-off, so JAMB’s 150 is the official minimum. See the safe target score, subject combination, DPT duration, screening steps and what is known about accreditation.

The Peaceland University cut off mark for Physiotherapy is 150 in the UTME, because that is the only official figure that applies. JAMB fixed 150 as the minimum for every university at its policy meeting of 11 May 2026, and Peaceland University, Enugu did not publish a higher figure for the Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT) or for any other course. With 150 or more, Peaceland as your choice and the right O’level credits, you can be considered. To stand a real chance, I would aim much higher than 150.

2027/2028 update: Peaceland University cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

Two things to know before you register. First, Physiotherapy at Peaceland is on JAMB’s list for the university under the name Doctor Of Physiotherapy, and it is also on the university’s own 2026/2027 advert as “DPT Physiotherapy” in the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. Second, the university was founded in 2023, so I could not find an NUC accreditation report or a Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board approval for this programme yet. Read the accreditation section below before you pay any fees.

Is there a separate Peaceland cut off mark for Physiotherapy?

No. Universities declared their own 2026 minimums at the JAMB policy meeting, and News Central TV’s full list of those declarations does not include Peaceland University. The 2026/2027 admission advert, as summarised by Myschool News on 28 April 2026, lists courses and says the portal is open. It gives no score for any course. A blog post on the 2026/2027 form (AbsTechConnect, 24 May 2026) also gives none.

So any website that prints a “Peaceland Physiotherapy cut-off of 200” or similar is guessing. 150 gets you through JAMB’s door, and the university then picks from the candidates who apply.

Cut-off history

SessionFigureWhat it is
2026/2027150JAMB national minimum for universities; no Peaceland figure published
2025/2026No Peaceland figure foundA June 2025 blog post announced the form with no score or requirements
2024/2025No Peaceland figure foundThe university was in its second year

A young university with no published history is normal. It also means you can’t judge your chances from past figures, so the safe target below is built on the course’s demand elsewhere in Enugu.

Safe target score for Physiotherapy at Peaceland (my advice)

This table is my judgement as an admissions adviser. Peaceland has not published it.

Your UTME scoreMy read for Peaceland Physiotherapy
Below 150Not eligible for any university course this cycle
150 to 179Eligible on paper, but weak for a six-year clinical degree
180 to 209Possible, especially with strong science credits
210 to 239Competitive
240 and aboveStrong. This is where I would want a Physiotherapy candidate to be

Why aim this high at a private university? Physiotherapy is a popular health course, and nearby schools show the demand. ESUT asked for 220 to apply for its DPT in 2026/2027, while SUMAS in Igbo-Eno used 150 for all its courses. Peaceland’s Pro-Chancellor, Felix Ugwuozor, also told the NUC at the university’s second matriculation that its admission quotas were too small and that many qualified applicants were turned away (TheCable). When places are capped, the higher scores go first.

For the 2027 UTME, my advice is at least 210, ideally 240, with credits or better in all five O’level sciences.

Peaceland Physiotherapy subject combination and O’level requirements

RequirementPhysiotherapy (DPT)
UTME subjectsUse of English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology
O’levelFive credits: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology
Exams acceptedWAEC, NECO or NABTEB (JAMB’s usual rule; Peaceland has not published its own list)
SittingsNot stated by Peaceland; one sitting is the safer plan
Direct EntryJAMB’s general rule: two A level passes from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Peaceland has not published its DE rules
Peaceland remark in the brochureNone found

JAMB’s Physiotherapy brochure entry lists Physics, Chemistry and Biology for the UTME. The separate “Doctor of Physiotherapy” page, which is the one linked from Peaceland’s course list, shows “Physics or Mathematics” as the third subject, but the institution remarks on that page look mixed up with another course. My advice: take Physics. It satisfies both versions, and physiotherapy leans on mechanics, levers and forces from your first year.

Mathematics is still compulsory at O’level even though you don’t write it in the UTME. A pass in Mathematics will not do.

How Peaceland screens Physiotherapy candidates

Peaceland has not published a Post-UTME notice with a test date or an aggregate formula for 2026/2027. What the advert does show is that applications run through the university’s own portal and that admission is “ongoing”, Private universities often process candidates in batches until JAMB’s deadline, so applying early helps.

JAMB set 30 November 2026 as the 2026/2027 deadline for private universities to conclude admissions, after 31 October for public universities (NAN, 11 May 2026). Every offer still has to go through CAPS. The News Agency of Nigeria reported on the same day that admissions outside CAPS are illegal.

Worked example (illustrative)

Peaceland has not published a scoring method, so this example only measures the gap between your score, the 150 minimum and my safe target. It is an illustration, not a Peaceland formula.

Take Ifeoma, who scored 226 with B2 in English, B3 in Mathematics and B3, C4 and B2 in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, all in one sitting.

  1. JAMB minimum: 226 minus 150 = 76. She clears it comfortably.
  2. My safe target: 226 is above 210 and 14 marks short of 240. That puts her in the competitive band.
  3. O’level check: five credits in the right subjects at one sitting. Nothing rules her out.
  4. Next move: upload O’level to CAPS early, apply on the portal as soon as it opens, and attend screening on the first date offered.

Compare Tobenna with 168 and a D7 in Physics. He passes the JAMB minimum by 18 marks but fails the O’level requirement. He would have to fix Physics in the next WAEC or NECO sitting before Physiotherapy is realistic.

How to apply for Physiotherapy at Peaceland, step by step

  1. Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN. JAMB replies with the profile code you take to the registration centre.
  2. Register the UTME with the right course name: pick Peaceland University and the course listed as Doctor Of Physiotherapy, with Use of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Make Peaceland your first choice. If it was not, do a JAMB change of institution before the university starts admitting.
  3. Upload your O’level to CAPS: visit a JAMB-accredited centre and have your WAEC, NECO or NABTEB result uploaded. A private university cannot recommend you on CAPS without it.
  4. Apply on the Peaceland portal: the 2026/2027 advert pointed candidates to the university’s application portal (apply.peacelanduni.edu.ng, “Enroll Now”). Fill the form with the same names, JAMB number and course you used at JAMB, and keep every receipt.
  5. Do the screening: Peaceland has not published its screening format. Prepare for a document check at least, and possibly a test or interview. I would take your UTME result slip, O’level results, birth certificate or age declaration, LGA identification and passport photographs.
  6. Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, choose Check Admission Status and open Access my CAPS. Accept the offer there. JAMB gives four weeks to accept or reject, according to its 2026 policy meeting.
  7. Pay acceptance and clear: Peaceland’s fee schedule lists acceptance at ₦20,000 and a total of ₦815,000 a session at 100, 200 and 300 level, with tuition payable 60% and then 40%. Pay only through the official portal or the Admissions Office.

Warning

Peaceland University is a different institution from Peaceland College of Education, Enugu, which still runs its own NCE admissions. Make sure the portal, the receipt and the CAPS offer all name Peaceland University. Pay only through the university’s portal or official account, and treat anyone selling “Physiotherapy slots” as a fraud.

Studying Physiotherapy at Peaceland University

Physiotherapy sits in Peaceland’s Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, next to Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health, Environmental Health Sciences, Health Information Management, Community Health and Radiography. The university grew out of Peaceland College of Education and is based in Enugu city.

From BPT to DPT

The National Universities Commission upgraded Physiotherapy, Pharmacy and Optometry to doctoral status in January 2025. Physiotherapy became the Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT) and the course moved from five years to six years, the NUC’s Acting Director of Public Affairs, Franca Chukwuonwo, said in a statement reported by the News Agency of Nigeria. Peaceland’s advert already uses “DPT”, which matches that change. The university has not published its own course outline.

Accreditation: what I could and could not confirm

  • NUC: Physiotherapy is not among the 17 programmes Peaceland announced as fully accredited after NUC’s October/November 2025 exercise (reported by Uniblog NG on 23 April 2026), and I found no NUC report naming Peaceland University for it. Status: not confirmed.
  • A trap to avoid: NUC reports that do mention “Peaceland” (for example Chemistry Education and Physics Education, both FULL after a November 2024 visit) belong to Peaceland College of Education’s degree programmes affiliated to Abia State University. They say nothing about the university’s Physiotherapy course.
  • Professional approval: the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists (Registration) Board’s online list of accredited training institutions dates from 2017 and does not include Peaceland. Peaceland’s news page reported on 26 September 2026 that a team from the Physiotherapy Council of Nigeria had visited to assess its facilities, including at UNTH, but it has not announced an outcome. Status: not confirmed.
  • Why it matters: a new university usually gets its first programme visits as its pioneer students move up the levels. Ask the department in writing whether the programme has NUC approval and MRTB approval, and when the first accreditation visit is due.

What you study and where it leads

  • Early years: basic sciences, then anatomy, physiology and biochemistry.
  • Physiotherapy core: biomechanics and kinesiology, exercise therapy, electrotherapy, and the management of musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary and paediatric conditions.
  • Clinical training: supervised hospital and community postings, which depend on the teaching hospital or partner hospitals a school uses. Ask Peaceland which ones it uses.
  • After graduation: registration with the MRTB, internship, then work in hospitals, sports teams, rehabilitation centres, private clinics, or postgraduate study abroad.

If you want an older DPT programme in Enugu to compare, read our guides to the ESUT Physiotherapy cut-off mark and the SUMAS Physiotherapy cut-off mark. For revision, use our JAMB Biology syllabus and JAMB Chemistry syllabus.

Mistakes Physiotherapy applicants make

  • Registering the wrong course name: on JAMB’s list for Peaceland it is “Doctor Of Physiotherapy”. Don’t pick a similar course at another school by mistake.
  • Dropping Physics: some candidates take Mathematics instead. Physics keeps you safe under both brochure entries.
  • Treating 150 as enough: it is only the legal minimum.
  • No O’level on CAPS: the university can’t recommend you without it.
  • Paying the wrong Peaceland: the college of education and the university are separate.
  • Not asking about accreditation: for a six-year clinical degree, ask before you pay tuition.
