Peaceland University Public Health Cut-Off Mark and Admission Requirements 2027/2028

Peaceland University has no published Public Health cut-off, so JAMB’s 150 applies. Get the correct UTME subjects (Physics, not Maths), O’level and DE rules, a safe target score and the application steps.

The Peaceland University Public Health cut off mark is 150, JAMB’s minimum UTME score for every Nigerian university in 2026. Peaceland University, Enugu has not announced a separate figure for its B.Sc. Public Health, so 150 is the only official number. Score 150 or more, choose Peaceland, register the right subjects and have five relevant O’level credits, and you are eligible to be considered for Public Health admission.

2027/2028 update: Peaceland University cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

Public Health is on JAMB’s course list for Peaceland under the plain name Public Health, and the university’s 2026/2027 advert lists “B.Sc. Public Health” in its Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. So the course is real and open to UTME candidates. What you won’t find is a published departmental cut-off or a screening date, because the university only opened in the 2023/2024 session; Peaceland has, however, announced full NUC accreditation for the programme. This guide covers what is confirmed and gives you a target score you can plan with.

Why there is no departmental cut-off yet

Nigerian universities told JAMB their own 2026 minimum scores at the policy meeting in May. News Central TV published the full list that day, and Peaceland is not on it. Its admission advert, summarised by Myschool News on 28 April 2026, names the courses and says the portal is open, without any score. Two AbsTechConnect posts about Peaceland’s forms (June 2025 and May 2026) say nothing about scores either.

In practice, that means Peaceland can legally admit a Public Health candidate with 150. Whether it does depends on how many people apply and how many places the NUC allows. Peaceland’s Pro-Chancellor, Felix Ugwuozor, complained at the second matriculation that NUC quotas were forcing the university to turn qualified applicants away (TheCable). A small quota pushes the real admission score above 150.

Safe target score for Public Health at Peaceland (my advice)

These bands are my advice, based on how Public Health is treated at other Enugu universities. ESUT required 180 to apply for Public Health in 2026/2027, and SUMAS used 150 for all its courses. Peaceland has not published any band.

UTME scoreMy read
Below 150Not eligible
150 to 169Eligible; your O’level grades will matter a lot
170 to 189Reasonable chance if you apply early
190 to 219Good chance
220 and aboveStrong; you could also compete for Nursing or Medical Laboratory Science elsewhere

My target for 2027 is 190 or more, with credits in all five O’level subjects at one sitting.

Peaceland Public Health admission requirements

UTME subject combination

Register Use of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. JAMB’s brochure entry for Public Health does not offer Mathematics in place of Physics, so a Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics combination will not match. Some websites print “Physics or Mathematics” for this course; the brochure says Physics.

O’level, Direct Entry and other rules

RequirementWhat applies
O’level creditsFive: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology
Exam bodiesWAEC, NECO or NABTEB under JAMB’s general rule
Number of sittingsNot published by Peaceland; aim for one
Direct Entry route 1Two A level passes from Biology or Zoology, Chemistry and Physics, plus O’level Mathematics, Physics and English
Direct Entry route 2NRN (Registered Nurse) or equivalent, plus five O’level credits including English and four science subjects
Peaceland brochure remarkNone; only Adeleke University and ABUAD have remarks for Public Health

The Direct Entry routes are JAMB’s general rules from the brochure. Peaceland has not published how it handles DE for Public Health, so check with the admissions office before buying a DE form for Peaceland.

Screening and how admission is decided

No Peaceland Post-UTME advert with a test date, fee or aggregate formula has surfaced for 2026/2027. Applications go through the university portal, and Myschool described admissions as ongoing from April 2026. JAMB set 30 November 2026 as the 2026/2027 deadline for private universities to finish admitting, and every offer has to appear on CAPS first.

Worked example (illustrative)

Because Peaceland publishes no formula, this example compares your score with the minimum and my safe target only. It is not how Peaceland ranks candidates.

Chiamaka scored 184. She has B3 in English, C4 in Mathematics, C5 in Physics, B3 in Chemistry and B2 in Biology from one WAEC sitting.

  1. Against 150: 184 minus 150 = 34 marks above the minimum.
  2. Against my 190 target: 6 marks short, so she sits in my “reasonable chance” band.
  3. O’level: all five credits, right subjects, one sitting.
  4. What I would tell her: apply in the first batch, upload O’level to CAPS straight away and follow up at screening. Her profile is solid for Public Health.

Emeka scored 201 but wrote Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology in the UTME. His score is fine, but his combination does not match JAMB’s Public Health entry. He would need to register Physics in the next UTME, or look at a course whose brochure entry fits the subjects he wrote.

How to apply for Public Health at Peaceland University

  1. Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN. JAMB replies with the profile code you take to the registration centre.
  2. Register the UTME with the right course name: pick Peaceland University and the course listed as Public Health, with Use of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Make Peaceland your first choice. If it was not, do a JAMB change of institution before the university starts admitting.
  3. Upload your O’level to CAPS: visit a JAMB-accredited centre and have your WAEC, NECO or NABTEB result uploaded. A private university cannot recommend you on CAPS without it.
  4. Apply on the Peaceland portal: the 2026/2027 advert pointed candidates to the university’s application portal (apply.peacelanduni.edu.ng, “Enroll Now”). Fill the form with the same names, JAMB number and course you used at JAMB, and keep every receipt.
  5. Do the screening: Peaceland has not published its screening format. Prepare for a document check at least, and possibly a test or interview. I would take your UTME result slip, O’level results, birth certificate or age declaration, LGA identification and passport photographs.
  6. Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, choose Check Admission Status and open Access my CAPS. Accept the offer there. JAMB gives four weeks to accept or reject, according to its 2026 policy meeting.
  7. Pay acceptance and clear: Peaceland’s fee schedule lists acceptance at ₦20,000 and a total of ₦480,000 at 100 level and ₦400,000 at 200 and 300 level, with tuition payable 60% and then 40%. Pay only through the official portal or the Admissions Office.

Warning

Peaceland University and Peaceland College of Education, Enugu are separate institutions with separate admissions. Check that your portal, receipts and CAPS offer all say Peaceland University, and pay only through the university’s own portal or account. Nobody can sell you a Public Health admission outside CAPS.

The B.Sc. Public Health programme at Peaceland

Public Health is one of eight programmes the advert lists under Allied Health Sciences, alongside Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Physiotherapy, Environmental Health Sciences, Health Information Management, Community Health and Radiography. Peaceland has not published its course outline or the programme’s duration. Most Nigerian B.Sc. Public Health degrees run for four years; confirm Peaceland’s length when you apply.

Accreditation status

  • NUC: full, as announced by Peaceland. Public Health is one of the 17 programmes Peaceland announced as fully accredited after NUC’s October/November 2025 exercise (reported by Uniblog NG on 23 April 2026). I found no NUC report page for it, so the status rests on the university’s announcement.
  • Mix-up to avoid: NUC reports that say “Peaceland” (Chemistry Education and Physics Education, FULL, November 2024) belong to Peaceland College of Education’s degrees affiliated to Abia State University, not to the university.
  • What a new programme usually looks like: it runs on NUC approval to start, then faces its first accreditation visit as the pioneer set reaches the final levels. Ask the department which stage it is at.

If you want a programme with an NUC result you can see in NUC’s own records, Clifford University’s Public Health is listed as FULL with maturity in 2030 in NUC’s results PDF, and ABSU’s as FULL with maturity in 2026. See our Clifford University Public Health and ABSU Public Health guides.

What you learn and where it leads

  • Foundation: biology, chemistry, physics and introductory health sciences in the first year.
  • Core public health: epidemiology, biostatistics, health promotion and education, nutrition, reproductive and family health, occupational health, and health policy and management.
  • Fieldwork: community surveys and a final-year research project.
  • Careers: disease surveillance and immunisation programmes, NGOs and donor-funded projects, primary health care management, health research, and a Master of Public Health (MPH) later.

Comparing Enugu options? Read our ESUT Public Health cut-off mark and SUMAS Public Health cut-off mark. For the UTME itself, work through the JAMB Biology syllabus and JAMB Chemistry syllabus.

Common mistakes with Public Health applications

  • Mathematics in place of Physics: JAMB’s Public Health entry needs Physics.
  • Missing O’level Physics: it is one of the five required credits.
  • Leaving CAPS empty: without your O’level on CAPS, Peaceland cannot recommend you.
  • Ignoring Transfer Approvals: if Peaceland offers a related course on CAPS, decide quickly. JAMB gives four weeks.
  • Paying before checking: confirm accreditation and fees in writing first.

If you are writing the UTME again, see when JAMB 2027 registration starts, and use our JAMB CAPS guide when lists come out.
