OSISATECH has not set a separate cut-off mark for Office Technology and Management (OTM). The minimum is JAMB’s 100 for polytechnics in 2026/2027. Our Saviour Institute of Science and Technology says on its FAQ page that candidates with 140 and above are likely to be admitted, and that it reviews this every year.
2027/2028 update: OSISATECH cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.
OTM is on JAMB’s list of OSISATECH courses, so you can apply through the UTME. It is the polytechnic course that used to be called Secretarial Studies, and it has an unusual rule: Mathematics is optional in the UTME but compulsory at O’level. This page explains that rule, the scores, admission without a Post-UTME test, fees and the jobs the ND leads to.
OSISATECH Office Technology and Management cut-off mark at a glance

| OSISATECH cut-off for OTM | Not published | No figure for any year |
| OSISATECH’s “likely” score | 140 and above | School FAQ, last updated October 2021 |
| On JAMB’s OSISATECH list | Yes | Myschool reprint of JAMB list |
| UTME subjects | English + any three of Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, History/Government, Geography, CRS/IS, Principles of Accounts | JAMB brochure (Myschool reprint) |
| Post-UTME | None | School FAQ (2021) |
| Level | ND, two years full-time | OSISATECH admission page |
OTM cut-off history
| Session | Figure | What it is | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026/2027 | 100 | JAMB minimum UTME score for polytechnics | Official (JAMB policy meeting, reported by NAN, 11 May 2026) |
| 2025/2026 | 100 | JAMB minimum UTME score for polytechnics | Official (2025 policy meeting, reported by Nairametrics, 8 July 2025) |
| Not dated (FAQ last updated October 2021) | 140 | Score OSISATECH says makes admission “likely” | OSISATECH FAQ page; reviewed yearly |
| Any year | None | Departmental cut-off for this course | Never published by OSISATECH |
OSISATECH has never released a figure for OTM alone. The 140 on its FAQ is a general guide for the whole school. OTM is rarely the most crowded course at a private polytechnic, so the realistic bar is likely to be near that guide.
Safe target score for OTM at OSISATECH (my advice)
OSISATECH has not published this. It is my advice as an adviser.
| Your UTME score | My read for OTM at OSISATECH |
|---|---|
| Below 100 | Not eligible for full-time ND at any polytechnic |
| 100 to 139 | Eligible under JAMB rules, below the score the school calls likely; possible, but don’t count on it |
| 140 to 159 | At or above OSISATECH’s own “likely” line |
| 160 and above | Comfortable. This is the range I would aim for |
For the 2027 UTME I would aim for 150 or higher. It clears the school’s guide with a margin and leaves you room to switch to a public polytechnic if you prefer.
UTME subject combination and O’level for Office Technology and Management
| Requirement | What JAMB’s brochure says |
|---|---|
| UTME subjects | Use of English (compulsory) + any three of Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, History/Government, Geography, CRS/IS, Principles of Accounts |
| O’level | Five credits: English Language (not Literature in English), Mathematics, and any three of Economics/Commerce, Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, Literature in English, Geography, Office Practice, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics, History/Government, Typewriting, Shorthand |
| Sittings | Not more than two (OSISATECH admission page) |
| OSISATECH remark on the brochure | None. The general rule applies |
| Direct Entry | Brochure section is blank; OSISATECH mentions year-two entry for NCE or ND holders |
So a candidate can sit English, Government, CRS and Commerce in the UTME and still be eligible for OTM at OSISATECH. That flexibility ends at O’level. You still need a credit in Mathematics there. The brochure has remarks letting some schools (Nuhu Bamalli and Akanu Ibiam Polytechnics, for example) drop the Mathematics or science credit, but OSISATECH is not named in any of them.
Office Practice, Typewriting and Shorthand count as O’level subjects for OTM, which helps students from commercial secondary schools.
How OSISATECH admits OTM candidates
The school’s FAQ says it does not run a Post-UTME exam. You take your UTME result and O’level certificates to the admission officer at the Ogui Road campus, buy the form at Ohha Microfinance Bank, and wait for the school to recommend you on JAMB CAPS.
Worked example (illustrative)
Adaeze scored 129 in English, Government, CRS and Commerce. Her WAEC result has credits in English Language, Mathematics (C6), Commerce, Office Practice and Government.
- JAMB floor: 129 minus 100 = 29 above the minimum.
- School guide: 140 minus 129 = 11 short of the score OSISATECH calls likely.
- Subjects: Government, CRS and Commerce are all on the OTM list, so her UTME combination is valid without Mathematics.
- O’level: five credits with English Language and Mathematics, one sitting. She qualifies.
- My advice: apply as soon as the form is available and get her O’level onto CAPS. A modest score with clean subjects still has a real chance at a private polytechnic.
Had Adaeze’s Mathematics been a D7, the score would not matter: without the credit she does not meet OSISATECH’s rule for OTM, and she would need a new O’level sitting.
How to apply for Office Technology and Management at OSISATECH, step by step
- Get your JAMB profile code: text NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN.
- Register for the UTME: pick Office Technology and Management with English and three subjects from the OTM list. JAMB lists the school as “Our Saviour Institute of Science, Agric. & Tech.”
- Write the UTME and clear the minimum: 100 is the JAMB floor for polytechnics; aim well above it.
- Upload your O’level on CAPS: do it at a JAMB-accredited centre. A result that is not on CAPS cannot be used for your admission.
- Change institution if needed: if OSISATECH was not your choice at registration, do a JAMB change of institution first.
- Buy the OSISATECH form: the school’s FAQ says you take your credentials to the admission officer at the Ogui campus (#1 Ogui Road, Enugu) for validation, then pay at Ohha Microfinance Bank. Its fees page says admission is not currently done online.
- Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status and accept the offer. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status.
- Pay fees and register: pay at the bank named by the school, then complete registration. Returning students use the portal at osisatech.skool-board.com.
Warning
OSISATECH says its fees can only be paid at OHHA Microfinance Bank, #1 Ogui Road, Enugu. Do not pay anyone who offers to “process” your admission, and do not accept an admission letter that never shows up on JAMB CAPS. JAMB has said admissions done outside CAPS are illegal.
JAMB set 31 December 2026 as the 2026/2027 admission deadline for polytechnics and monotechnics.
OSISATECH fees for Office Technology and Management students
OSISATECH does not list Office Technology and Management separately on its fees page. It charges the same amounts for every ND, NCE and HND student. The page carries no session label and was last modified on 19 March 2021, so treat these as the most recent official figures, which may have risen since.
| Fee item | Amount | How often |
|---|---|---|
| School fees and accommodation | ₦36,000 | Per semester |
| Portal/ICT fee | ₦3,000 | Per semester |
| Utility fee | ₦3,000 | Per semester |
| Admission form | ₦10,000 | First year only |
| Matriculation fee | ₦10,000 | First year only |
| Medical insurance | ₦5,000 | First year only |
| Sports levy | ₦12,000 | First year only |
| Founder’s anniversary | ₦1,000 | First year only |
Adding those up (my arithmetic, not an OSISATECH total), a first-year ND student on the 2021 figures would pay ₦84,000 across two semesters plus ₦38,000 in one-off charges: about ₦122,000, with accommodation included in the semester fee. The school’s FAQ page (last updated October 2021) also says there is no acceptance fee. Ask the admission office for the current schedule before you pay anything, because 2021 prices are unlikely to have held.
Studying Office Technology and Management at OSISATECH
The ND takes two years full-time and includes SIWES. After it, a year of industrial training qualifies you for HND. OSISATECH’s part-time ND, which does not need the UTME, is another way in.
What you study
- Keyboarding and typewriting speed work, and shorthand.
- Office procedures, records and information management, and business communication.
- Word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and other computer applications.
- Office administration, business law, economics and a final project.
Accreditation
NBTE approved OSISATECH to admit ND students in December 1991, according to the school’s About page, and NBTE’s 2020 Directory of Accredited Programmes lists it as a private polytechnic (serial 101, P.M.B. 01161, Enugu). The programme-level accreditation status of Office Technology and Management is not confirmed: the directory’s programme tables could not be read, and OSISATECH does not publish it. Before you pay, ask the admission office to show you the current NBTE accreditation for the course. It affects whether you can move on to HND and how employers treat the ND.
Careers
OTM graduates work as secretaries, executive and personal assistants, office administrators, records officers, front desk officers and data entry staff in companies, schools, hospitals and the civil service. With an HND, many move into office management roles.

Mistakes OTM applicants make
- Assuming no Mathematics at all: it is optional in the UTME only. The O’level credit is still required.
- Choosing UTME subjects outside the list: Biology, Physics or Literature are not among the OTM options.
- Three O’level sittings: OSISATECH accepts not more than two.
- Forgetting CAPS: admission is only real once it shows and you accept it on JAMB’s portal.
