The Trinity Poly Business Administration and Management cut off mark is 100 in the UTME, the national minimum JAMB set for polytechnics for 2026/2027. Trinity Polytechnic, Uyo, a private polytechnic in Akwa Ibom State, has not published a departmental cut-off for Business Administration and Management in any year I could trace. The course appears on JAMB’s list for the school as “Business Administration and Management”, so ND admission runs through the UTME and JAMB CAPS.
2027/2028 update: Trinity Poly cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They are based on JAMB’s 2026 national minimum, because Trinity Poly has not published its own course cut-offs. If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.
NBTE’s 2020 Directory lists it as a private polytechnic (serial number 129) at Mbak Road, Ita Itai, Uyo LGA, P.M.B. 3997, Uyo, approved in 2016. The last admission advert I could find is the 2023/2024 ND/HND advert reprinted by Myschool on 28 June 2023. It pointed to an admission page on trinitypoly.edu.ng that Myschool itself flagged as not existing at the time. I found no 2026/2027 notice, fee list or screening timetable. It has no link to Trinity University in Lagos. So this page sticks to what JAMB and NBTE publish, gives you my safe target score, and tells you what to ask the school.
Trinity Poly Business Administration and Management cut off mark at a glance
| Item | Position | Status |
|---|---|---|
| JAMB minimum UTME score for polytechnics | 100 | Official (JAMB 2026 policy meeting, reported by NAN on 11 May 2026) |
| Trinity Poly departmental cut-off for Business Administration and Management | Not published | No figure found for any year |
| My safe target for the 2027 UTME | 120 or more | My advice, not a school rule |

Trinity Poly cut-off mark history for Business Administration and Management
| Session | Figure | What it is | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026/2027 | 100 | JAMB national minimum for polytechnics and monotechnics | Official |
| 2025/2026 | 100 | JAMB national minimum for polytechnics | Official (reported by Nairametrics, 8 July 2025) |
| Any year | None | Trinity Poly figure for Business Administration and Management | Never published in any source I found |
JAMB kept the polytechnic floor at 100 for two sessions running. A polytechnic may set a higher mark of its own, but Trinity Poly has never announced one that I could find, and it does not publish merit lists with scores. So 100 is the legal minimum, and anything above it improves your position.
Safe target score for Business Administration and Management (my advice)
These bands are my judgement as an admissions adviser, based on how small private polytechnic courses tend to fill. Business Administration and Management is a popular management course, usually less crowded than Accountancy.
| Your UTME score | My read for ND Business Administration and Management at Trinity Poly |
|---|---|
| Below 100 | Not eligible for any ND course this session |
| 100 to 119 | Eligible; your O’level and screening decide the rest |
| 120 to 144 | Good chance |
| 145 and above | Very strong for this course |
For the 2027 UTME I would aim for 120 or more. If you land between 100 and that figure, still apply: at a small private polytechnic your O’level grades, your subject combination and the screening will carry a lot of weight.
Business Administration and Management subject combination and O’level requirements at Trinity Poly
Use of English is compulsory for every UTME candidate, so JAMB’s brochure lists only your other three subjects. I read the Business Administration and Management page on Myschool’s reprint of JAMB’s polytechnic brochure on 3 November 2026. None of its remarks names Trinity Poly, so the base rule applies.
| Requirement | What it says | Source |
|---|---|---|
| UTME subjects (base rule) | Use of English, plus Mathematics and two of Geography, Commerce, Government, Principles of Accounts and Economics | JAMB polytechnic brochure |
| O’level (base rule) | English Language (not Literature in English) and Mathematics, plus three from Economics or Commerce, Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, Literature in English, Geography, Office Practice, Biology or Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics, History or Government, Typewriting and Shorthand | JAMB polytechnic brochure |
| My recommended UTME set | English, Mathematics, Economics and Commerce | My advice |
My recommendation is English, Mathematics, Economics and Commerce. Economics and Commerce are the closest subjects to what you study, and both are on the list. Government or Principles of Accounts work just as well.
O’level: Plan for five credits in no more than two sittings; the school has published nothing on sittings, and two is the usual polytechnic limit. Awaiting-result candidates can sit the UTME, but CAPS cannot offer you admission until your result is uploaded, so have it on the portal before the school’s list is processed.
Direct Entry and the HND route
There is no Direct Entry into the first year of an ND, and JAMB’s brochure leaves the Direct Entry section blank for this course. The 2023/2024 advert did not separate ND from HND, but it listed options such as Microbiology, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Environmental Biology, Physics with Electronics, Power and Machines, and Electronics and Telecommunication, which are normally HND options. Under the standard NBTE rule, an HND needs an ND (usually Lower Credit or better) plus a year of industrial attachment, and you apply to the polytechnic directly, outside CAPS.
How admission screening works at Trinity Poly
| Detail | What is known | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Who can apply | Candidates who chose Trinity Poly in the UTME and scored at least 100 | JAMB rule |
| 2026/2027 admission notice | Not found | No official notice online |
| Form price and payment | Not published | Ask the admissions office |
| Test or interview | Not published | Ask the admissions office |
| Ranking formula | Not published | Unknown |
| Last advert found | 2023/2024 ND/HND advert | Myschool reprint, 28 June 2023 |
Small Nigerian polytechnics usually sell a form, check documents and sometimes run a short written test or interview. Trinity Poly has not said which it does. Ask the office these questions before you pay anything:
- Is Business Administration and Management admitting new ND students for 2027/2028, and does the programme have NBTE accreditation?
- How much is the form, where do I pay, and when do sales close?
- Is there a written test or interview, and on which subjects?
- What are the acceptance fee and first-year fees, and is there a hostel?
Worked example for an ND Business Administration and Management applicant (illustrative)
Take Inemesit, who wants Business Administration and Management at Trinity Poly. Inemesit scored 124 in English, Mathematics, Economics and Commerce, and has credits in English, Mathematics, Economics, Commerce and Government from one sitting.
- JAMB minimum: 124 minus 100 = 24. Inemesit is eligible.
- My safe target: 124 against 120 is 4 above it.
- UTME subjects: they match the line in the table above.
- O’level: five credits that cover the compulsory subjects for Business Administration and Management.
If Trinity Poly used a 50:50 ranking, 124 divided by 8 gives 15.50 out of 50, and a screening score of 30 out of 50 would bring the total to 45.50. That formula is only an illustration of how such rankings work. Trinity Poly has not published one, and many small polytechnics simply admit everyone who qualifies.
Your chances of getting Business Administration and Management at Trinity Poly
- If you meet the subject rules and score 100 or more, your biggest risk is that the course may not be running this year. Confirm that first.
- Business Administration and Management is a popular management course, usually less crowded than Accountancy, so a score near my target of 120 gives you room if the department has more applicants than places.
- Candidates from Uyo, Itu, Uruan, Ibesikpo Asutan and Nsit Ibom save on transport and rent by studying close to home, which adds up over a two-year ND.
- JAMB told polytechnics to finish 2026/2027 admissions by 31 December 2026, so offers for current candidates can come late. Keep checking CAPS until then.
How to apply for Business Administration and Management at Trinity Poly, step by step
- Get your JAMB profile code: text NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN.
- Register the UTME correctly: choose Business Administration and Management with English, Mathematics, Economics and Commerce, and pick Trinity Polytechnic as your polytechnic.
- Fix your choice if needed: if Trinity Poly was not your choice, do a JAMB change of institution before screening. To move into Business Administration and Management from another course, see JAMB change of course.
- Upload your O’level to CAPS: visit an accredited JAMB CBT centre once your WAEC, NECO or NABTEB result is out.
- Contact the polytechnic: visit the campus on Mbak Road, Ita Itai, Uyo, confirm that your course is admitting this year, and pay only through the channel the school names.
- Attend screening: take your UTME result slip, O’level result, birth certificate or age declaration, local government identification and passport photographs.
- Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS, and accept. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status.
- Pay acceptance and register: get the amounts from the bursary in writing, pay through the channel the school names, then complete medical and departmental registration.
Warning
Trinity Poly’s admission web page was not working when its last advert was reprinted, so be careful with any site or agent selling its forms. Confirm on campus, and remember that JAMB treats any admission outside CAPS as illegal.

Studying Business Administration and Management at Trinity Poly
The school has not published its faculty structure, so I do not name the school or department this course sits in. Trinity Poly has not published a course outline, so the list below is the usual NBTE pattern for ND Business Administration and Management in Nigerian polytechnics.
What you study
- Principles of management and organisational behaviour
- Business mathematics and statistics
- Marketing, purchasing and human resource basics
- Business law and economics
- Introduction to accounting and finance
- Entrepreneurship and small business management
- SIWES placement and general studies
Duration and accreditation
Under the standard NBTE structure, the ND runs for two years full time, with a SIWES placement. Students who want the HND then do a one-year industrial attachment before applying, and the HND usually asks for an ND at Lower Credit or above. Trinity Poly is in NBTE’s 2020 Directory (private, approved 2016), which confirms the school itself. I could not confirm the NBTE status of ND Business Administration and Management specifically. That matters: an ND from a programme NBTE has not accredited can cause problems when you apply for an HND or a job. Ask the department for its accreditation letter before you pay fees.
Careers after the ND
- Administrative officer or office assistant
- Customer service and sales roles
- Human resource assistant
- Small business owner or manager
- Procurement or store assistant
- HND Business Administration, then a degree or professional courses

Mistakes that cost Business Administration and Management applicants
- Literature in place of English: the brochure insists on English Language.
- No Mathematics in the UTME: it is fixed in the line.
- Science-only subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology do not fit the UTME combination.
- Assuming any score will do: BAM is less crowded than Accountancy, but it is still competitive in some years.
- No O’level on CAPS: JAMB cannot approve an offer until your result is uploaded.
Trinity Poly Business Administration and Management: frequently asked questions
What subjects do I need for Business Administration in Trinity Poly? Use of English, Mathematics and two of Geography, Commerce, Government, Principles of Accounts and Economics. English, Mathematics, Economics and Commerce is a safe set.
Is 110 enough for Business Administration and Management at Trinity Poly? It clears JAMB’s minimum of 100, and Trinity Poly has published no higher figure. It is a little below my safe target of 120, so a strong O’level result and a good screening will matter.
Is Business Administration easier to get than Accountancy at Trinity Poly? Usually, yes. Both have the same UTME line and the same JAMB minimum, but BAM tends to draw fewer applicants. That is a pattern, not a published figure.
Is Business Administration and Management at Trinity Poly accredited? Trinity Poly itself is in NBTE’s 2020 Directory (private, approved 2016). I could not confirm the accreditation of ND Business Administration and Management specifically, so ask the department for its NBTE letter before you pay fees.

The 2026/2027 polytechnic minimum of 100, the 31 December 2026 deadline and JAMB’s warning against admissions outside CAPS come from JAMB’s 2026 policy meeting as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria on 11 May 2026; the 2025/2026 figure of 100 is from Nairametrics (8 July 2025). The course name is from the Myschool reprint of JAMB’s course list for the school. JAMB’s subject and O’level rules are from Myschool’s reprint of the JAMB polytechnic brochure page for Business Administration and Management, which I checked on 3 November 2026. The address and approval year are from NBTE’s 2020 Directory of Accredited Programmes (serial number 129). The 2023/2024 advert is from Myschool’s reprint of 28 June 2023. The safe target, the worked example and the ranking illustration are my own advice. Checked on 3 November 2026; this page will be updated when Trinity Poly publishes a 2027/2028 notice.
