Lux Mundi University Entrepreneurship Cut-Off Mark 2027/2028 and Admission Requirements

Lux Mundi University has not published a cut-off for Entrepreneurship, so plan with JAMB’s 150 minimum. See the JAMB subject combination, the O’level science credit many candidates miss, Direct Entry and the application steps.

The Lux Mundi University Entrepreneurship cut-off mark for 2027/2028 is 150 in practice, because that is JAMB’s national minimum for universities and Lux Mundi has not published any figure of its own for the course. If you can, aim for 170 or more to leave yourself room at screening.

2027/2028 update: Lux Mundi University cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

Entrepreneurship is one of the management degrees Lux Mundi is listed as offering at its Umuahia campus. Below you will find the official minimum, a safe target score (my advice), JAMB’s subject rules, including an O’level science credit that catches many applicants, Direct Entry, a worked screening example, the CAPS steps and what is known about fees.

Undated150 per course, 160 in a page headerVarsity.ng course tableUnofficial and inconsistent

Lux Mundi has only admitted students since 2024, so the history is short. The figure that counts each year is JAMB’s minimum: 140 in 2024, then 150 in 2025 and 2026. The 160 in Varsity.ng’s header has no named source. Plan with 150 as the floor for 2027/2028.

Safe target score for Entrepreneurship at Lux Mundi (my advice)

Lux Mundi has never published a departmental cut-off, so there is no official number above 150 to aim at. The table is my reading as an admissions adviser for a young private university with a small intake.

Your UTME scoreMy read for Entrepreneurship at Lux Mundi
Below 150Not eligible for a university admission in 2026 rules.
150 to 169Eligible. Entrepreneurship is not usually oversubscribed, so this can work with a clean O’level.
170 to 199Comfortable, with room for a weaker screening day.
200 and aboveStrong. You could also compete for Business Administration if you change your mind.

My target for the 2027 UTME is 170 or more. Entrepreneurship rarely draws the numbers that Business Administration or Accounting do, but a margin above 150 still matters if Lux Mundi ranks all management applicants together.

UTME subject combination and O’level for Entrepreneurship at Lux Mundi

Myschool’s reprint of JAMB’s university brochure has more than one Entrepreneurship entry. The one under Social and Management Sciences gives the requirements below. None of its special remarks names Lux Mundi.

RequirementJAMB brochure (Myschool reprint)What I would register
UTME subjectsUse of English, Economics, Mathematics and one other social science or commercial subjectEnglish, Mathematics, Economics and Commerce or Government
O’levelFive credits including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, one science subject and one other social science or commercial subjectMake sure one credit is Biology, Agricultural Science, Chemistry or Physics
Direct EntryTwo A-level passes including Economics and at least one of Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or MathematicsEconomics plus Business Management or Accounts
SittingsNot stated in the main entryMost universities accept two; one is safer

The detail people miss is the science credit. The general brochure line wants five O’level credits that include one science subject, alongside English, Mathematics and Economics. Biology or Agricultural Science is the easiest for most arts and commercial students, since you probably sat one of them in WAEC.

For the UTME, Commerce is allowed as the fourth subject here because the brochure says social science or commercial. That is wider than Business Administration, where only a social science counts.

Direct Entry into Entrepreneurship

The brochure accepts two A-level passes including Economics and one of Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Mathematics. Other universities’ remarks in the same entry accept ND, HND, NCE or JUPEB results, but none of those remarks mentions Lux Mundi, so ask the admissions office whether it takes them.

Direct Entry students normally start at 200 level and still need the O’level credits on CAPS.

Does Lux Mundi University run Entrepreneurship?

As far as public records go, yes, but the confirmation is weaker than I would like. nextschool.ng’s Lux Mundi profile (modified 5 April 2025) and Varsity.ng’s 2026 course table both list Entrepreneurship as a B.Sc., under Management and Social Sciences. universitycourses.ng (updated 24 February 2026) has it in a 12-course Lux Mundi list as well. NUC’s institution directory (NUCIS) lists Lux Mundi as a private, degree-awarding university with 16 courses, without naming them.

What I could not confirm is an official Lux Mundi course list. The university website loads no readable text, and I could not reach the Myschool reprint of JAMB’s course list for Lux Mundi. That matters because JAMB will only process your admission for a course that is on Lux Mundi’s approved list in the JAMB brochure.

JAMB’s brochure carries several similar titles: Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurship and Business Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and others. When you register, find Lux Mundi University on the JAMB screen and pick the exact title listed under it. If no Entrepreneurship title appears under Lux Mundi, call the university before you pay.

How Lux Mundi screens Entrepreneurship applicants

Lux Mundi has not published a screening format, date, form price or aggregate formula in any source I could reach. Varsity.ng says post-UTME performance also counts, without naming a source. The safest plan is to expect some form of screening, whether an aptitude test, an interview or a check of documents, and to be ready for any of them.

Worked example (illustrative)

Lux Mundi has no published formula, so the split below is mine. Many Nigerian universities give the UTME and their own test equal weight, and I use that 50:50 split only to show how the numbers interact.

  1. Candidate: Obinna scored 178 in the UTME and has C4 in English, B3 in Mathematics, B2 in Economics, C5 in Commerce and C6 in Biology from one NECO sitting.
  2. Eligibility: 178 minus 150 = 28 marks above the minimum, and his Biology credit covers the science requirement.
  3. UTME half (illustration): 178 divided by 400, times 50 = 22.25.
  4. Screening half (illustration): a 60% screening result gives 30.
  5. Illustrative total: 22.25 + 30 = 52.25 out of 100.

Now picture Obinna with an F9 in Biology and no other science credit. His score would be the same, but he would fail the O’level rule and could not be admitted into Entrepreneurship under the general brochure line. A science credit settles that.

Your chances of admission into Entrepreneurship at Lux Mundi

Lux Mundi took off in January 2024 at its temporary site in New Ndagbo City, Isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku, Umuahia, with faculties of Management Sciences, Law and Arts/Social Sciences, according to ThisDay. NUC has paired it with Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu, as its mentor university. A university this new does not draw the crowds that ABSU or MOUAU see, so a candidate with 150 or more, the right subjects and a complete O’level has a realistic chance.

For Entrepreneurship, the O’level is where most problems sit. Check that you have English, Mathematics, Economics, one science and one social science or commercial credit before you choose the course. If you lack the science credit, Business Administration may fit your result better.

Timing matters too. JAMB set 30 November 2026 as the 2026/2027 admission deadline for private universities. If you want Lux Mundi in a later cycle, have your O’level uploaded and your CAPS profile in order well before the deadline JAMB sets for that year.

How to apply for Entrepreneurship at Lux Mundi, step by step

  1. Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN.
  2. Register the UTME with Lux Mundi as your choice: pick Lux Mundi University and Entrepreneurship on the JAMB registration screen, using English, Mathematics, Economics and Commerce or Government. First choice is the cleanest route; if you chose another school, you will need a JAMB change of institution before Lux Mundi can admit you.
  3. Upload your O’level to CAPS: do it at a JAMB-accredited centre as soon as your WAEC, NECO or NABTEB result is out. JAMB cannot approve an admission without it.
  4. Contact Lux Mundi for its application form: Varsity.ng links to an admission portal at portal.luxmundiuniversity.edu.ng. I could not open the official site to confirm it, so check the address with the university at its Umuahia campus before you pay for anything.
  5. Attend the screening: bring your JAMB result slip, O’level result, birth certificate and passport photographs, the usual set for Nigerian screening, and ask the admissions office what else it wants.
  6. Accept the offer on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, choose Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS. JAMB gave 2026 candidates four weeks to accept or reject an offer.
  7. Pay acceptance and register: pay only through the university’s official channel, collect a receipt, complete clearance and print your JAMB admission letter.

Warning

JAMB said in May 2026 that any admission done outside CAPS is illegal. A genuine Lux Mundi offer shows on your JAMB CAPS page. In October 2026 free-advert sites carried posts selling Lux Mundi “post-UTME forms” through private phone numbers, and I found no Lux Mundi notice behind them. Never pay into a personal account for a form or a place.

Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each admission status and how to accept.

Lux Mundi Entrepreneurship school fees

Lux Mundi has not published a fee schedule I could open. The only figures from the university side come from its founder, Prof. Gabriel Okenwa, at the take-off ceremony in January 2024, as reported by WAWA News Global.

ItemAmountSource and date
Average fee per session₦400,000Founder’s statement at take-off (reported January 2024)
Law per session₦600,000Founder’s statement at take-off (reported January 2024)
Entrepreneurship fee for 2026/2027 or 2027/2028Not publishedAsk the bursary

Those numbers come from the take-off ceremony and may have changed. Ask the bursary for the current Entrepreneurship fee and what it includes. Do not rely on blog tables that list Lux Mundi fees for courses such as Medicine or Engineering, which Lux Mundi has not been reported to offer.

Studying Entrepreneurship at Lux Mundi University

Entrepreneurship at Lux Mundi is listed among the management courses, alongside Business Administration, Project Management and Banking and Finance. The university has not posted a course outline, so the list below reflects how Nigerian B.Sc. Entrepreneurship degrees are usually taught.

What you study

  • Early years: introduction to entrepreneurship, principles of management, economics, business mathematics, statistics and accounting.
  • Middle years: small business management, marketing, business law, family business, innovation and creativity, and business finance.
  • Final year: new venture creation, business plan writing, research methods and a project.
  • Practical work: many programmes include a business plan competition, a venture project or industrial attachment.

Duration and accreditation

A UTME entrant normally needs four years for a B.Sc. in Entrepreneurship, and Varsity.ng gives four years for Lux Mundi. Direct Entry usually takes three.

I found no NUC accreditation result for Entrepreneurship at Lux Mundi. NUC’s 1990 to 2025 accreditation results publication could not be read as far as the universities starting with L, and a search of NUC’s programme reports returned nothing for Lux Mundi. That is expected for a university that took off in 2024: NUC usually visits a new programme for accreditation as the pioneer set approaches its final year. Until a result appears, treat accreditation as not confirmed and ask the university which NUC approval covers the programme.

Careers after the degree

  • Starting and running your own business, with a written plan and basic finance skills
  • Business development and sales roles in SMEs and larger companies
  • Programme roles in enterprise support agencies, NGOs and microfinance institutions
  • Postgraduate study in entrepreneurship, management or an MBA

Mistakes that cost Entrepreneurship applicants a Lux Mundi place

  • No science credit in O’level: the general brochure line asks for one.
  • Registering a different Entrepreneurship title: check the exact title under Lux Mundi on the JAMB screen.
  • Dropping Mathematics from the UTME: the brochure names it.
  • O’level not uploaded to CAPS: no upload, no admission.
  • Ignoring the CAPS offer: 2026 candidates had four weeks to accept.
  • Paying anyone for a place: admission outside CAPS is illegal.

Sources and updates

The national minimum of 150, the 30 November 2026 deadline for private universities, the four-week CAPS acceptance window and the warning on admissions outside CAPS come from the News Agency of Nigeria report of JAMB’s policy meeting (11 May 2026). News Central’s full list of institution cut-offs from the same meeting was checked and does not include Lux Mundi. The 2025/2026 minimum of 150 is from Channels TV (8 July 2025). The 140 figure and the 16-course count are from Lux Mundi’s NUCIS listing (last modified 24 July 2024). The subject and Direct Entry requirements are from Myschool’s reprint of the JAMB university brochure entry for Entrepreneurship under Social and Management Sciences; two other Entrepreneurship entries on Myschool did not load. The take-off date, campus, faculties and provisional licence come from ThisDay (18 January 2024); the operating licence and the Godfrey Okoye University mentorship come from The Guardian (5 October 2024) and Godfrey Okoye University’s own news page. The 2024 fee figures are the founder’s words as reported by WAWA News Global. The course listings come from nextschool.ng’s Lux Mundi profile (modified 5 April 2025), Varsity.ng’s 2026 course table and universitycourses.ng (updated 24 February 2026); none is an official Lux Mundi source. The form-selling adverts were on free-advert sites in October 2026. The Lux Mundi website did not load readable content when I checked on 29 October 2026. I will update this page when Lux Mundi publishes its 2027/2028 admission notice or a course list I can verify.
