Lux Mundi University Project Management Cut-Off Mark 2027/2028 and Admission Requirements

The Lux Mundi University Project Management cut-off mark to plan with for 2027/2028 is 150. That is JAMB’s minimum for every Nigerian university, and Lux Mundi has not announced a separate figure for Project Management or for the university as a whole. My advice is to aim for 170 or above.

2027/2028 update: Lux Mundi University cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

Project Management is a less common degree in Nigeria, and Lux Mundi in Umuahia is one of the newer places listed as offering it. This page covers the official minimum, a safe target score (my advice), JAMB’s subject combination, the O’level subjects that count, Direct Entry, a worked screening example, the CAPS steps and fees.

JAMB’s university minimum went from 140 in 2024 to 150 in 2025 and 2026, and that is the figure Lux Mundi candidates have had to meet. No source gives a Project Management figure of its own. For 2027/2028, plan with 150 and treat Varsity.ng’s 160 as unconfirmed.

Safe target score for Project Management at Lux Mundi (my advice)

Lux Mundi has never published a departmental cut-off, so there is no official number above 150 to aim at. The table is my reading as an admissions adviser for a young private university with a small intake.

I would aim for 170 or more in the 2027 UTME. Few candidates choose Project Management, which helps you, but a score close to 150 leaves you exposed if Lux Mundi sets a screening pass mark.

UTME subject combination and O’level for Project Management at Lux Mundi

Myschool’s reprint of JAMB’s brochure files Project Management under Sciences, although the subjects it asks for are commercial and social science ones. There is no special remark naming Lux Mundi.

The UTME line is loose: Mathematics, Economics and “one other subject”. I would still choose Geography or Government, because they also suit Business Administration and Economics if you need a backup course later.

The O’level line is strict. Your two extra credits must come from Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography or Statistics. A credit in Biology or Literature does not count towards those two, even if it helps you elsewhere.

Direct Entry into Project Management

JAMB’s brochure accepts two A-level passes from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Statistics. Lux Mundi has not said whether it also takes ND, HND or JUPEB results for Project Management, so ask before you register Direct Entry.

As with UTME entrants, your O’level must meet the five-credit rule and be uploaded to CAPS.

Does Lux Mundi University run Project Management?

As far as public records go, yes, but the confirmation is weaker than I would like. nextschool.ng’s Lux Mundi profile (modified 5 April 2025) and Varsity.ng’s 2026 course table both list Project Management as a B.Sc. under Management and Social Sciences. universitycourses.ng (updated 24 February 2026) has it in a 12-course Lux Mundi list as well. NUC’s institution directory (NUCIS) lists Lux Mundi as a private, degree-awarding university with 16 courses, without naming them.

What I could not confirm is an official Lux Mundi course list. The university website loads no readable text, and I could not reach the Myschool reprint of JAMB’s course list for Lux Mundi. That matters because JAMB will only process your admission for a course that is on Lux Mundi’s approved list in the JAMB brochure.

JAMB’s brochure also has Project Management Technology, a different course offered mainly by universities of technology. When you register, choose Lux Mundi University and pick the exact Project Management title shown under it. If you cannot find it there, call the university before paying for the UTME.

How Lux Mundi screens Project Management applicants

Lux Mundi has not published a screening format, date, form price or aggregate formula in any source I could reach. Varsity.ng says post-UTME performance also counts, without naming a source. The safest plan is to expect some form of screening, whether an aptitude test, an interview or a check of documents, and to be ready for any of them.

Worked example (illustrative)

Lux Mundi has no published formula, so the split below is mine. Many Nigerian universities give the UTME and their own test equal weight, and I use that 50:50 split only to show how the numbers interact.

1. Candidate: Amarachi scored 172 in the UTME and has B3 in English, C4 in Mathematics, B2 in Economics, C5 in Geography and C4 in Financial Accounting from one WAEC sitting.
2. Eligibility: 172 minus 150 = 22 marks above the minimum, and Geography and Accounting are both on the brochure’s O’level list.
3. UTME half (illustration): 172 divided by 400, times 50 = 21.5.
4. Screening half (illustration): 70% at screening gives 35.
5. Illustrative total: 21.5 + 35 = 56.5 out of 100.

Her screening result carries the total here. A candidate on 152 with the same screening score would land at 54, only 2.5 points lower, which shows why a small private university can still admit candidates near the minimum. The O’level list is the harder test.

Your chances of admission into Project Management at Lux Mundi

Lux Mundi took off in January 2024 at its temporary site in New Ndagbo City, Isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku, Umuahia, with faculties of Management Sciences, Law and Arts/Social Sciences, according to ThisDay. NUC has paired it with Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu, as its mentor university. A university this new does not draw the crowds that ABSU or MOUAU see, so a candidate with 150 or more, the right subjects and a complete O’level has a realistic chance.

With Project Management the risk is choosing the wrong O’level subjects, not the score. If your two extra credits are outside the brochure list, the admission can fail at the JAMB end even when Lux Mundi wants to admit you.

Timing matters too. JAMB set 30 November 2026 as the 2026/2027 admission deadline for private universities. If you want Lux Mundi in a later cycle, have your O’level uploaded and your CAPS profile in order well before the deadline JAMB sets for that year.

How to apply for Project Management at Lux Mundi, step by step

1. Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN.
2. Register the UTME with Lux Mundi as your choice: pick Lux Mundi University and Project Management on the JAMB registration screen, using English, Mathematics, Economics and Geography or Government. First choice is the cleanest route; if you chose another school, you will need a JAMB change of institution before Lux Mundi can admit you.
3. Upload your O’level to CAPS: do it at a JAMB-accredited centre as soon as your WAEC, NECO or NABTEB result is out. JAMB cannot approve an admission without it.
4. Contact Lux Mundi for its application form: Varsity.ng links to an admission portal at portal.luxmundiuniversity.edu.ng. I could not open the official site to confirm it, so check the address with the university at its Umuahia campus before you pay for anything.
5. Attend the screening: bring your JAMB result slip, O’level result, birth certificate and passport photographs, the usual set for Nigerian screening, and ask the admissions office what else it wants.
6. Accept the offer on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, choose Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS. JAMB gave 2026 candidates four weeks to accept or reject an offer.
7. Pay acceptance and register: pay only through the university’s official channel, collect a receipt, complete clearance and print your JAMB admission letter.

Lux Mundi Project Management school fees

Lux Mundi has not published a fee schedule I could open. The only figures from the university side come from its founder, Prof. Gabriel Okenwa, at the take-off ceremony in January 2024, as reported by WAWA News Global.

Those figures date from the January 2024 take-off. Ask the bursary for the current Project Management fee and what it covers. Blog fee tables that list Lux Mundi beside courses it is not reported to run, such as Medicine and Engineering, are not reliable.

Studying Project Management at Lux Mundi University

Lux Mundi lists Project Management with its management courses, alongside Business Administration and Entrepreneurship. It has not posted a course outline, so the list below describes how Nigerian Project Management degrees are commonly built.

What you study

• Foundation: principles of management, economics, business mathematics, statistics and accounting.
• Core project courses: project planning and scheduling, cost estimation and control, risk management, procurement and contract management.
• Tools and methods: network analysis, project software, quality management and monitoring and evaluation.
• Final year: project appraisal, research methods and a final-year project.

Duration and accreditation

A B.Sc. in Project Management normally takes four years from UTME entry, and Varsity.ng gives four years for Lux Mundi.

I found no NUC accreditation result for Project Management at Lux Mundi. NUC’s 1990 to 2025 accreditation results publication could not be read as far as the universities starting with L, and a search of NUC’s programme reports returned nothing for Lux Mundi. That is expected for a university that took off in 2024: NUC usually visits a new programme for accreditation as the pioneer set approaches its final year. Until a result appears, treat accreditation as not confirmed and ask the university which NUC approval covers the programme.

Lux Mundi University Project Management cut-off mark: frequently asked questions

What subjects do I need for Project Management in JAMB? JAMB’s brochure asks for Use of English, Mathematics, Economics and one other subject. Geography or Government is a sensible fourth subject.

Is 150 enough for Project Management at Lux Mundi University? 150 is the minimum JAMB allows for any university admission, and Lux Mundi has not published a higher figure. I would still aim for 170 to be safe.

Can I use Biology as one of my O’level credits for Project Management? It can be one of your five credits only if you already have English, Mathematics, Economics and two from Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography or Statistics.

Is Project Management at Lux Mundi accredited by NUC? Not confirmed. I found no NUC accreditation result for Lux Mundi programmes, so ask the university what NUC approval covers it.
