There is no published Peaceland College of Education Computer Education cut off mark for 2027/2028, and under the 2026 rules you do not need a UTME score to be considered. Peaceland College of Education, Enugu, a private college, is listed by JAMB for four Computer Education pairings: with Physics, Biology, Chemistry or Mathematics. NCE candidates with at least four O’level credit passes are now exempt from the UTME, but you still register with JAMB and your offer still has to come through CAPS. For Computer Education, your English and Mathematics credits are what the college will check first.
2027/2028 update: Peaceland College of Education admission requirements and entry rules usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the position on this page is what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. It comes from the latest official position (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 rules change anything, we will update this page.
I could not find any Peaceland notice that sets a cut-off, a departmental minimum or a screening score for Computer Education. So this page sticks to what is on record: JAMB’s national rules, what the college’s own adverts said, and the registration steps JAMB published for NCE in 2026. Where I give my own advice, such as a safe O’level target, I say so.

Peaceland has never published a cut-off mark for Computer Education on its own. The 140 figure in 2024 covered every form the college was selling that year, including its degree programme, which no longer takes new students (more on that below). The 100 figure was JAMB’s floor for all colleges of education in 2025/2026. For 2026/2027 the score question mostly disappears, because NCE candidates with four credits are not asked to write the UTME.
Do you need JAMB or UTME for Computer Education at Peaceland College of Education?
You need JAMB. You do not need the UTME, as long as you hold at least four O’level credit passes. Three official statements in 2026 set this out:
- 11 May 2026: at JAMB’s 2026 policy meeting, the Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, said NCE candidates with a minimum of four credit passes will no longer sit the UTME. They must still register with JAMB, and their results are checked through CAPS before any admission letter is issued.
- June 2026: JAMB’s NCE registration guide set out the fees and the CAPS process, and said no 100 level or 200 level degree admission into any college of education is allowed from 2026/2027, affiliated degrees included. Everyone who enters a college of education now enters through NCE.
- 23 July 2026: NCE registration without UTME opened at Institutional Professional Registration Centres (IPRCs) in colleges of education and at JAMB professional registration centres.
On timing, Nairametrics reported on 11 May 2026 that the exemption would take effect from the 2027 admission cycle, while JAMB’s June 2026 guide and Legit’s 23 July 2026 report show it was already being used for 2026 admissions. For a 2027/2028 candidate both readings point the same way: if you are going for NCE, you do not write the UTME.
What JAMB charges for NCE registration
| Item | Amount | Who pays it |
|---|---|---|
| O’level verification code, one sitting | ₦1,500 | Every NCE applicant (bought from the exam body) |
| O’level verification code, two sittings | ₦2,000 | Applicants combining two results |
| JAMB NCE application fee | ₦3,500 | New NCE applicants who did not register for the 2026 UTME |
| CBT or IPRC centre charge | ₦700 | Every NCE applicant |
| Moving a 2026 UTME application to NCE | ₦700 only | UTME candidates whose first choice was a college of education |
These are JAMB’s 2026/2027 amounts. The 2027/2028 guide may change them, so confirm the figure at the centre before you pay. Peaceland’s own form, if it sells one, is a separate charge the college has not published.
Safe target for Computer Education at Peaceland (my advice)
This is my judgement as an admissions adviser. Peaceland has not published how it ranks NCE applicants.
Without a UTME score, the only thing a college can compare is your O’level. That means your grades in English, Mathematics and the subject you pair with Computer Education now do the job a UTME score used to do. This is how I would read your chances:
| Your O’level position | My read for Peaceland Computer Education |
|---|---|
| Fewer than four credits | Not eligible for the no-UTME route; resit WAEC, NECO or NABTEB first |
| Four or more credits, but no credit in Mathematics | Weak. Programming, number systems and logic all lean on Mathematics |
| Five credits including English, Mathematics and your partner subject, two sittings | Meets the usual college of education standard |
| Five or more credits in one sitting, with B grades in Mathematics and Computer Studies or Physics | Strong. This is what I would aim for |
If you also plan to write the 2027 UTME to keep a university option open, aim for at least 150, the 2026 national minimum for universities. That score is for the university route only. Remember that JAMB will not process you for both routes at once, which the worked example below explains.
O’level requirements and UTME subjects for Computer Education at Peaceland
| Requirement | Computer Education at Peaceland |
|---|---|
| UTME | Not required for NCE candidates with at least four credits (2026 policy) |
| O’level (federal exemption rule) | At least four credit passes; subjects not specified |
| O’level (Peaceland’s own rule) | Not published in any source reached |
| O’level (usual college of education rule) | Five credits at no more than two sittings, including English Language and Mathematics, with credits in the subjects you will teach (general practice; not confirmed for Peaceland) |
| JAMB brochure line for Computer Education (Myschool reprint) | O’level: five credits including Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. UTME: Mathematics, Economics or Commerce, and one of Chemistry, Physics or Biology, with Use of English |
| Results JAMB accepts | WAEC, NECO, NABTEB and NBAIS, checked with a verification code |
| Awaiting results | You cannot be proposed on CAPS until the result is uploaded |
| Direct Entry or 200 level | Not available at any college of education from 2026/2027; NCE is the only entry |
The brochure line comes from Myschool’s reprint of JAMB’s Computer Education entry for polytechnics and colleges of education. It asks for more sciences than many applicants hold, and it was not written with Peaceland’s pairings in mind, so treat it as the strict end of the range. My advice is simple: apply with five credits that include English, Mathematics and your partner subject, and add Physics if you can. Computer Studies or Data Processing is a useful extra credit.
The four Computer Education pairings at Peaceland
Peaceland does not list a single-subject Computer Education course. You read it with one other subject. These are the pairings on JAMB’s list for the college, with the credits I would want to see before applying for each:
| Combination | Credits I would have (besides English) | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Computer Education/Mathematics | Mathematics (B grade ideally), Physics, Computer Studies or Further Mathematics | Candidates who are strongest in Mathematics |
| Computer Education/Physics | Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry | Science students who enjoy electricity and electronics |
| Computer Education/Chemistry | Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics or Biology | Science students with a good Chemistry grade |
| Computer Education/Biology | Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry | Candidates whose Biology is stronger than their Physics |
Pick the partner subject you are best at, because you will teach it as well. The college has not published how many places each pairing has, so ask at the college if you want a sense of which is most crowded.
Worked example for a Computer Education applicant (illustrative)
Peaceland has not published any aggregate formula, so there is nothing to calculate. What you can do is test yourself against the rules above and JAMB’s process. Both cases here are made up.
Ifeanyi has one WAEC sitting: English C5, Mathematics B3, Physics C6, Chemistry C4, Biology C6, Computer Studies B2, Civic Education C5 and Economics D7. He wants Computer Education/Mathematics.
- Credit count: seven credits, well above the four-credit exemption rule.
- Five-credit check: English and Mathematics are there, in one sitting.
- Subject check: B3 in Mathematics and B2 in Computer Studies fit his pairing. He even meets the strict brochure line, since he has Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- Process: WAEC verification code (₦1,500), NCE registration with Peaceland as first choice (₦3,500 plus ₦700), then the CAPS proposal and the Provost’s recommendation.
Adaeze wants to write the 2027 UTME for a university Computer Science place and keep Peaceland as a fallback. Under JAMB’s 2026 guide she cannot run both: once a candidate is recommended for NCE, the UTME process is suspended. If that rule carries into 2027, she has to decide which route matters more before she registers, not after.
Your chances of admission into Computer Education at Peaceland
Peaceland does not publish applicant numbers. Computer courses tend to draw more interest than pure sciences at NCE level, and private colleges tend to have smaller intakes, so I would not treat a place as automatic. In my judgement, a candidate with credits in English, Mathematics and two sciences from one sitting is well placed.
- Make Peaceland your first choice. JAMB sends each NCE registration to the first-choice college. In 2024 the college invited candidates who had not chosen it first, but the 2026 process no longer works that way.
- Get the verification code right. CAPS compares it with the exam body’s record, and a mismatch stops you.
- Avoid Awaiting Results if you can. You cannot be proposed until the result is uploaded.
- Keep checking CAPS. The offer appears there and is not valid until you accept it.
How to apply for Computer Education at Peaceland College of Education, step by step
- Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN.
- Buy your O’level verification code: from WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or NBAIS. JAMB lists ₦1,500 for one sitting and ₦2,000 for two. Write down the exam year, exam number and subjects exactly as on your result.
- Register for NCE at a JAMB centre or IPRC: pay ₦3,500 plus the ₦700 centre charge, choose Peaceland College of Education, Enugu as your first choice and pick the Computer Education pairing you want. Your biometrics are captured and you get a slip.
- Make sure your O’level is on CAPS: your results and verification code must be uploaded, because CAPS checks them against the exam body’s record. A candidate marked Awaiting Results cannot be proposed until the result is uploaded.
- Already registered for UTME? If a college of education was your first choice, JAMB moves you to NCE and you pay ₦700 only. Once you are recommended for NCE, your UTME process is suspended, so you cannot run both.
- Fill Peaceland’s own form if it asks for one: the college has not published a portal address or form price in any source I reached. The “portal” link in Myschool’s 2026/2027 report points to Myschool’s own page for the college. Confirm with the college in Enugu before you pay anyone.
- Wait for the proposal and recommendation: under JAMB’s guide, the college proposes you on CAPS, the Provost recommends you, and JAMB then checks your O’level before the offer shows.
- Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS. Accept within four weeks or the offer can be withdrawn. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status.
- Pay the acceptance fee and register: Peaceland has not published its acceptance or school fees. Pay only through the channel on your admission letter or the college’s official notice.
If you are still chasing a 2026/2027 place, JAMB’s admission window for colleges of education runs until 31 December 2026. Candidates planning for 2027/2028 should watch for the next NCE registration notice and register with Peaceland as first choice from the start.
Warning
The Federal Government has said any admission done outside JAMB CAPS is illegal. If someone offers you a Peaceland College of Education place that never shows on CAPS, or asks for money to “process” one, do not pay.
About Peaceland College of Education, Enugu
Peaceland College of Education is a private college of education in Enugu. It appears as “Peaceland College of Education, Enugu” on the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) list of accredited colleges, where it is shown as open, with Rev. Fr. Dr. Leo Ilechukwu named as Provost. A business directory gives its address as 1 Old Path Close, opposite ESUT MSP, by Nkpokiti Junction, Independence Layout, Enugu, and says it was set up in 2014; I could not confirm either detail on a college page, so check before you travel.
It is a different institution from Peaceland University, Enugu. The names are close and some blogs mix them up, but the university admits degree students with UTME scores, while the college runs NCE. A Peaceland University form is not a Peaceland College of Education form.
In its 2026/2027 advert, as reported by Myschool on 18 July 2026, the college offered NCE, the Professional Diploma in Education (PDE), the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and part-time study, and described its courses as fully accredited. The advert did not give requirements, prices or dates. Its 2024/2025 advert also offered a degree programme. Blogs have linked that degree to Abia State University, and a directory links the college to Anambra State University; neither link was confirmed. Since JAMB has stopped new degree admissions into colleges of education from 2026/2027, plan to take any degree at a university after your NCE.
Accreditation
NCE programmes are regulated by the NCCE. The college is on the NCCE accredited list, but I could not confirm the accreditation status of each Computer Education combination, so I am not claiming it. Ask the college for the current NCCE status of your exact combination before you accept an offer.
Studying NCE Computer Education at Peaceland College of Education
The Nigeria Certificate in Education normally takes three years full time. Peaceland has not published a course outline for Computer Education, so the list below describes what NCE Computer Education usually covers.

Mistakes that cost Computer Education applicants a Peaceland place
- Applying to Peaceland University by mistake: it is a separate institution with its own UTME-based admission.
- Choosing a pairing you are weak in: you will teach both subjects, and a D grade in the partner subject is a red flag.
- Writing UTME and waiting for a score: NCE candidates with four credits do not need one, and waiting can cost you the window.
- Paying for a form from an unverified link: the college has not published a portal in any source reached.
- Accepting on CAPS and stopping there: the acceptance fee and registration at the college are separate steps.
Peaceland College of Education Computer Education cut off mark: frequently asked questions
Does Peaceland College of Education offer Computer Education? Yes. JAMB’s course list for the college, as reprinted by Myschool, has Computer Education paired with Physics, Biology, Chemistry or Mathematics. There is no single-subject Computer Education option on that list.
What is the cut off mark for Computer Education in Peaceland College of Education? The college has not published one. Its 2024/2025 advert asked 2024 UTME candidates for 140 and above across all forms, the national minimum for colleges of education was 100 in 2025/2026, and from 2026/2027 NCE candidates with four credits do not need a UTME score.
Can I study Computer Education at Peaceland without Physics? Yes, the Biology and Chemistry pairings exist. Peaceland has not published subject rules, though, and JAMB’s brochure line lists Physics among the credits, so a Physics credit makes you safer.
Is Peaceland College of Education the same as Peaceland University? No. Peaceland University, Enugu is a private university that admits degree students with UTME scores. Peaceland College of Education runs NCE and admits through JAMB’s NCE registration and CAPS.
