Peaceland University Business Education Cut-Off Mark 2027/2028 & Admission Requirements

Peaceland University does not currently list Business Education on JAMB or on its own programme pages. See why some sites list it, the 150 minimum for Peaceland’s alternatives, and where else to study it.

Peaceland University does not currently list Business Education, so there is no Peaceland University Business Education cut-off mark for 2026/2027. The course is missing from JAMB’s course list for Peaceland and from the university’s own programme list. The minimum for Peaceland’s other degrees is 150 in the UTME, JAMB’s figure for all universities, and the closest courses Peaceland does offer are Accounting, Management and Education and Economics.

2027/2028 update: Peaceland University cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

This page shows what I checked, why some websites still list Business Education under Peaceland (the answer is Peaceland College of Education, a separate school), which Peaceland courses to choose instead, the JAMB rules for Business Education if you apply elsewhere, and the public universities in Enugu that run it.

Does Peaceland University offer Business Education?

Not on any current official list I could find. Here is each check, made on 30 October 2026.

Peaceland College of Education degree pageYesBusiness Education (Accounting Education, Office Technology Management Education); this is the college, not the university

An earlier summary of Peaceland’s 2026/2027 advert, which I could not open in full, was the only source placing Business Education under the university. The university’s own pages do not. Until Peaceland lists it and JAMB adds it to Peaceland’s list, do not register Business Education with Peaceland University as your choice: CAPS cannot carry an offer for a course JAMB has not approved for that school.

The Peaceland College of Education mix-up

Peaceland University grew out of Peaceland College of Education, Enugu, and the college still runs separately. Its website lists bachelor’s degrees in education, including Business Education with Accounting and Office Technology Management options. That is why some blogs show Business Education under “Peaceland”. But JAMB’s June 2026 NCE registration guide says there is no 100 or 200 level degree admission into any college of education from 2026/2027, including affiliated degrees: everyone enters through NCE. So the college is not a route to a Business Education degree for 2027/2028 either.

Peaceland courses to choose instead of Business Education

Business Education mixes business subjects (accounting, office technology, marketing) with teacher training. Peaceland splits those two halves across different courses.

Peaceland course (JAMB name)Closest to which part of Business EducationUTME subjects (JAMB rule)On JAMB list
AccountingThe accounting optionUse of English, Economics, Mathematics and one Arts or Social Science subjectYes
ManagementThe management and office sideUse of English, Mathematics, Economics and one other subjectYes
Education and EconomicsThe teaching side, for commerce and economics teachersCheck the brochure entry; Economics and Mathematics are a safe coreYes
EntrepreneurshipBusiness skillsVaries; confirm on the brochureNo (on Peaceland’s own list only)

The Accounting and Management subject rules are from the JAMB brochure as read by our writers for the Peaceland Accounting and Management pages. If you want to teach business subjects, Education and Economics at Peaceland is the nearest teacher-training degree, and it was among the programmes Peaceland announced as fully accredited. If you want to work in accounting or business, Accounting is the stronger choice.

Business Education, Accounting, Management and Education and Economics all sit well on one UTME combination, Use of English, Economics, Mathematics and Government (or Commerce, where the brochure allows it). Register that and you keep every option open. Revise with our JAMB Economics syllabus.

Cut-off marks for the alternatives

Course and schoolMinimum UTMESource or status
Any Peaceland University degree, including Accounting and Education and Economics150JAMB national minimum, 11 May 2026; no Peaceland course figure published
Business Education, ESUT160ESUT 2026/2027 advert (see our ESUT page)
Business Education, UNN160 to be screenedUNN 2026/2027 notice (see our UNN page)

My safe targets: 160 or more for Accounting or Management at Peaceland, and 170 or more if you want Business Education at ESUT or UNN, where competition for education places is stronger than at a private university.

JAMB requirements for Business Education (if you apply elsewhere)

RequirementBusiness Education (JAMB general rule)
UTME subjectsUse of English, Mathematics, Economics and one of Literature in English, History, Government, Geography, Chemistry or Physics
O’levelFive credits including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two other Social Science or Arts subjects
Direct EntryTwo A level passes or NCE merit in two relevant subjects; or NCE merit in Business Education Double Major

Many universities add remarks, for example UNN accepts Commerce as the fourth subject, while others want specific commercial subjects at O’level. Read your chosen school’s remark on the brochure before you register. Note that Commerce is not in the general list of fourth subjects, so check before relying on it.

Fees for the Peaceland alternatives

Peaceland’s fee schedule (session not stated on the page) gives these totals. The admission form and acceptance fee are ₦10,000 each in both faculties.

Faculty (covers)100 level total200 and 300 level total
Arts, Management and Social Sciences (Accounting, Management, Entrepreneurship)₦320,000₦390,000
Education, other departments (Education and Economics)₦200,000₦200,000

Tuition can be paid in two parts (60% and 40%), with other fees and the accreditation charge paid first. Confirm the current amounts on the portal before paying.

Your admission odds at Peaceland and what helps

At Peaceland’s second matriculation, the pro-chancellor, Felix Ugwuozor, said the university had admitted over 600 students and would have taken more, but the NUC quota for each faculty held it back (TheCable). Places are capped, so scoring 150 makes you eligible without guaranteeing a seat.

  • Apply early: private universities often fill their quota in batches, and later batches have fewer places.
  • Clean O’level: Peaceland asks for five credits including English Language and Mathematics. A missing credit stops you whatever your UTME score.
  • Results on CAPS: many candidates lose offers because their O’level is not uploaded.
  • Respond fast: accept on CAPS and pay acceptance within the time given, or the place can go to someone else.

How to apply to Peaceland for an alternative course, step by step

  1. Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN. JAMB replies with the profile code you take to the CBT centre.
  2. Register the UTME correctly: choose Peaceland University (not Peaceland College of Education) and the course Accounting, Management or Education and Economics, and sit Use of English, Economics, Mathematics and Government. Make Peaceland your first choice. If you chose another school, Peaceland says you can still apply, but you may need a JAMB change of institution before it can offer you a place.
  3. Upload your O’level to CAPS: go to a JAMB-accredited centre and upload every sitting you want counted. If you are awaiting WAEC or NECO, upload as soon as the result is out. The university cannot recommend you on CAPS without it.
  4. Apply on Peaceland’s portal: go to apply.peacelanduni.edu.ng, create an account, enter your JAMB number and score, upload your documents, choose the same course you registered on JAMB and pay the admission form fee (₦10,000 on the university’s fee schedule). Print your slip.
  5. Watch for screening: Peaceland has published no written test for this course, so check the portal and your email for any interview or document check, and keep your originals ready.
  6. Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS, and accept the offer only when it shows the right course at Peaceland University. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status.
  7. Pay acceptance and fees, then clear: the fee schedule lists acceptance at ₦10,000. Pay only through the official portal or the Admissions Office, then bring your O’level, JAMB result slip, birth certificate, NIN slip, local government letter and passport photographs for clearance.

Warning

Peaceland University says it does not authorise unofficial admission agents. Every genuine offer shows on JAMB CAPS, and JAMB treats admissions done outside CAPS as illegal. Ignore anyone selling “slots”, and pay only through the university portal or its Admissions Office.

JAMB set 30 November 2026 as the 2026/2027 admission deadline for private universities (News Agency of Nigeria, 11 May 2026), so Peaceland’s 2026/2027 offers have to be on CAPS by that date. If you are planning for 2027, read when JAMB 2027 registration starts and how to check your JAMB result and what to do with the score.

About Peaceland University

Peaceland University is a private university in Independence Layout, Enugu. It grew out of Peaceland College of Education, which still runs as a separate institution, and began admitting degree students in 2023/2024. Its website lists five teaching faculties for 2026/2027 (Allied Health Sciences, Law, Science and Computing, Education, and Arts, Management and Social Sciences), and its news page carries a 15 September 2026 headline announcing full operational licence approval.

Peaceland announced full NUC accreditation for a group of programmes after NUC’s October/November 2025 exercise, including Accounting, Management, Entrepreneurship and Economics Education (reported by Uniblog NG, 23 April 2026). Business Education was not in that list.

Where a Business Education degree leads, and how the alternatives compare

  • Business Education graduates: teach commerce, financial accounting, office practice and economics in secondary schools, or work in office administration and banking.
  • Accounting graduates: work in audit, tax and finance, and can sit ICAN or ANAN exams.
  • Education and Economics graduates: teach Economics and related subjects, and register with TRCN like Business Education graduates.
  • Management graduates: enter administration, human resources and business roles.

For Business Education itself in Enugu, see the ESUT Business Education cut-off mark and the UNN Business Education cut-off mark.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Registering Business Education with Peaceland University as your choice: it is not on JAMB’s Peaceland list, so no offer can come through CAPS.
  • Choosing Peaceland College of Education for a degree: from 2026/2027 colleges of education admit only NCE students.
  • Paying anyone who promises Business Education at Peaceland: the university says it authorises no unofficial agents.
  • Dropping Economics or Mathematics: both are needed for Business Education and for the Peaceland alternatives.
