The ADSU cut off mark for Environmental Management is 150 in the UTME, and that is the figure to plan with for 2027/2028. Adamawa State University, Mubi published it in its official list of approved programme cut-off marks for the 2026/2027 session, signed for the Registrar by Admission Officer Dunfe S. Anjili. That matches JAMB’s 2026 minimum for universities, and ADSU set the same 150 for most of its courses. NUC approved the course for ADSU in December 2024.
2027/2028 update: ADSU cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.
Environmental Management is new at ADSU and was missing from JAMB’s ADSU course list when I checked, so confirm it on CAPS before you plan around it. Below are the official figures, the NUC position, a safe target score (my advice), the usual subjects, how the 2026 screening ran, a worked example and the CAPS steps.
Confirm before you register
Environmental Management is on ADSU’s 2026/2027 cut-off list, but it was not on JAMB’s brochure list of ADSU courses (as reprinted by Myschool) when I checked on 3 November 2026. Before you register for the 2027 UTME, look for ADSU and Environmental Management on JAMB’s e-brochure or ask at a JAMB office, and make sure the course can be selected on CAPS. If it cannot, register a listed course and ask ADSU about moving later.

ADSU Environmental Management cut-off history
| Session | Figure | What it is | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026/2027 | 150 | ADSU programme cut-off | Official (signed by Dunfe S. Anjili for the Registrar) |
| 2025/2026 | 150 | ADSU programme cut-off | Official (signed by Angyatiya B. Atimi for the Registrar) |
| 2026 (national) | 150 | JAMB minimum for all universities | Official (NAN, 11 May 2026) |
Environmental Management was 150 on both ADSU lists. Its NUC approval took effect from 2024/2025, so ADSU is still in its first admission years.
Is 150 enough for Environmental Management at ADSU?
ADSU calls these figures cut-off marks, and in practice they work as the lowest score it will consider for the course. ADSU has not published the score of the last candidate admitted into Environmental Management, so nobody outside the admissions office knows how far above 150 the intake went.
As a new course without a JAMB brochure entry for ADSU, it is unlikely to be crowded. The real hurdle is making sure it can be chosen on JAMB and CAPS.
Safe target score for Environmental Management at ADSU (my advice)
This is my judgement as an admissions adviser. It is not an ADSU rule.
| Your UTME score | My read for Environmental Management at ADSU |
|---|---|
| Below 150 | Below JAMB’s 2026 minimum for universities, so ADSU cannot consider you for any course |
| 150 to 164 | Eligible. Your chance depends on how many stronger candidates chose Environmental Management |
| 165 to 179 | A reasonable chance if your O’level is complete and on CAPS |
| 180 to 199 | Good. This is the range I would aim for |
| 200 and above | Strong for this course |
For the 2027 UTME I would aim for at least 180. Pair that with credits in Biology or Geography and Chemistry.
Catchment and indigene rules
The only catchment rule on ADSU’s 2026/2027 list is for Law, where Adamawa indigenes needed 230 and non-indigenes 260. Environmental Management has one figure, 150, for every candidate. ADSU has not published a merit, catchment or quota split for any other course, so do not plan around the federal 45/35/20 formula.
UTME subject combination and O’level for Environmental Management at ADSU
| Requirement | Environmental Management at ADSU |
|---|---|
| UTME subjects | Use of English plus (usually) Geography or Biology, Chemistry and one of Mathematics, Physics or Economics |
| O’level | Five credits including English Language and Mathematics (ADSU’s 2026 rule), plus credits in Geography or Biology and Chemistry, as environmental degrees usually require. |
| Sittings | Not stated in the reprinted 2026 notice. Two sittings are widely accepted in Nigeria, but one sitting is safer. |
| Direct Entry | ADSU has not published Direct Entry rules for this new course. |
| First choice | ADSU as first choice, or a JAMB change of institution to ADSU (2026 notice) |
If the course will not come up on JAMB, Geography at ADSU is the closest listed alternative: same faculty, same 150 cut-off, and much of the same first-year content.
Because Environmental Management did not appear on JAMB’s ADSU list, there is no ADSU brochure entry to quote. The combination above is JAMB’s usual one for this kind of degree at other universities; confirm on the e-brochure.
How ADSU screening worked in 2026
ADSU’s 2026/2027 screening ran from Monday 15 June to 30 October 2026 and is now closed. The notice, as reprinted by Myschool and Androidpols, described an online screening exercise; no test was announced.
| Detail | ADSU 2026/2027 screening |

| Who could apply | Candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2026 UTME with ADSU as first choice, plus Direct Entry candidates; others had to change their first choice to ADSU on the JAMB website |
| Minimum for Environmental Management | 150 |
| O’level | Five credits including English and Mathematics |
| Fee | ₦2,000 |
| Where | www.adsu.edu.ng, “post UTME” link |

Worked example for an Environmental Management candidate
ADSU has not published an aggregate or ranking formula, and with no test there is no Post-UTME score to combine. What you can work out is the gap between your score, the 150 cut-off and a safe target. The candidates below are made up to show the arithmetic.
Take Bello, who scored 166 and has C4, C4, C5, C5 and B3 in English, Mathematics, Geography, Chemistry and Biology from one sitting.
- Eligibility: 166 minus 150 = 16. He clears the Environmental Management cut-off by 16 marks.
- Against my safe target: 180 minus 166 = 14. He is 14 marks below the score I would call comfortable.
- O’level check: English and Mathematics are there, and so are Geography, Chemistry and Biology.
- What I would advise: confirm the course is selectable on JAMB before registration. If it is, keep it as his course.
Grace scored 152 with a D7 in English Language. 152 minus 150 = 2, so her score clears the cut-off, but ADSU asked for credits in English and Mathematics. She is not eligible until she has an English credit.
How to apply for Environmental Management at ADSU, step by step
- Get your profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the line linked to your NIN.
- Register the UTME: choose Environmental Management with English, Geography or Biology, Chemistry and one of Mathematics, Physics or Economics (confirm on the e-brochure), and make ADSU your first choice. If you did not, do a JAMB change of institution before ADSU’s screening opens.
- Upload your O’level to CAPS: at an accredited JAMB CBT centre once your result is out. JAMB admits through CAPS, so the upload has to include English, Mathematics and Geography or Biology and Chemistry.
- Fill the ADSU screening form: in 2026 ADSU told candidates to go to www.adsu.edu.ng, click on “post UTME” and fill in the required details. The fee was ₦2,000. Print the slip the portal gives you.
- Watch CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng and open Check Admission Status. Accept the offer when it appears, or reject it if you have a better one.
- Print your JAMB admission letter: after accepting on CAPS, print it from the JAMB portal. ADSU will ask for it at clearance.
- Pay acceptance and clear: ADSU has not published its acceptance fee in any source I reached. Confirm the amount on the ADSU portal and pay only through it.
ADSU’s 2026 screening was an online form with a ₦2,000 fee, and every genuine admission offer shows on JAMB CAPS. JAMB says admissions done outside CAPS are illegal. Do not pay anyone who promises an Environmental Management “slot” at ADSU.
JAMB set 31 October 2026 as the 2026/2027 deadline for public universities to finish admissions; that date has now passed. If you applied for Environmental Management in 2026, check JAMB CAPS and the ADSU portal for your admission status. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each CAPS status.
Studying Environmental Management at ADSU
Environmental Management deals with how land, water, air and living resources are used and protected, and how environmental problems are assessed and controlled. In Adamawa and across the north-east, flooding, erosion, land degradation and waste are everyday concerns.
NUC approved B.Sc. Environmental Management for ADSU on 10 December 2024 after a resource verification visit, to run from 2024/2025, according to ADSU’s release. The course is in the Faculty of Environmental Science.
What you study
- Ecology and basic environmental science
- Environmental impact assessment and auditing
- Pollution control and waste management
- Land, water and natural resource management
- GIS and remote sensing for environmental work
- Environmental law, policy and climate change
Degree, duration and accreditation
ADSU’s release names the degree as B.Sc. Environmental Management. ADSU has not stated its length; four years is usual for UTME entrants to B.Sc. programmes.
NUC approval to start a course is a different thing from accreditation. NUC’s Accreditation Results 1990 to 2025 publication has no Environmental Management row for ADSU yet, so its accreditation status is not confirmed.
Careers
- Environmental officer in state environmental protection agencies and ministries
- Environmental impact assessment consultancies
- Compliance roles in construction, mining and manufacturing

Mistakes that cost Environmental Management applicants an ADSU place
- Assuming the course is on JAMB: it was not on JAMB’s ADSU list when checked; confirm before registration.
- Treating 150 as an admission score: it is the lowest score ADSU will consider.
- No Mathematics credit: ADSU’s 2026 notice asked every candidate for credits in English and Mathematics.
- ADSU not first choice: the notice told other candidates to change their first choice to ADSU on the JAMB website.
- O’level missing on CAPS: without it, CAPS cannot process an offer.
- Accepting on CAPS and stopping there: the acceptance fee and clearance at ADSU are separate steps.
If you are trying again in 2027, read when JAMB 2027 registration starts and JAMB change of course.
