ADSU Entrepreneurship Cut-Off Mark 2027/2028 and Requirements

ADSU’s official cut-off for Entrepreneurship is 150 for 2027/2028 planning. See the history, a safe target score, the subjects, the JAMB listing problem, how screening ran and the CAPS steps.

The ADSU cut off mark for Entrepreneurship is 150 in the UTME. Adamawa State University, Mubi printed that figure for Entrepreneurship (spelt “Entreprenurship” on the list) in its approved programme cut-off marks for the 2026/2027 session, issued by the Office of the Registrar in June 2026. It is the same as JAMB’s national minimum for universities and the same figure ADSU used in 2025/2026.

2027/2028 update: ADSU cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

Entrepreneurship sits in ADSU’s Faculty of Administration and Management Sciences, beside Accounting, Business Administration and Marketing. There is one problem you need to deal with early: the course does not show on the JAMB brochure list of ADSU courses that I could read. Below you will find the official figures, my safe target, the subjects, how ADSU’s online screening ran in 2026/2027, the CAPS steps and what the course leads to.

Check before you register

Entrepreneurship is on ADSU’s own cut-off list for 2026/2027, but it was missing from the JAMB brochure list of ADSU courses that I read on Myschool on 3 November 2026. ADSU also listed it in 2025/2026, so the programme is not brand new; the JAMB reprint may simply be behind. Before you register for the 2027 UTME, open the JAMB e-brochure or your e-Facility profile and confirm that Entrepreneurship appears under Adamawa State University, Mubi. If it does not, ask the ADSU Admissions Office in writing which JAMB course name to choose.

The 150 is ADSU’s own published figure for the course, so you do not need to guess. What you do need to settle is the course name on JAMB, because a candidate who registers the wrong course cannot be admitted into Entrepreneurship without a change of course.

Earlier sessionsNot foundNo older ADSU list reached

ADSU has kept Entrepreneurship at 150 for two sessions. Business Administration, in the same faculty, moved from 150 to 160 in the same period, so do not assume every management course will stay on the floor.

Where Entrepreneurship sits on ADSU’s 2026/2027 list

ADSU published four tiers for 2026/2027. Most courses sit on the national floor of 150; a handful were pushed higher because demand for them is heavier.

ADSU 2026/2027 cut-offProgrammes on that tier
230 (Adamawa indigenes) / 260 (non-indigenes)Common Law and Sharia
170Biochemistry, Microbiology, Computer Science
160Animal Production, Cyber Security, Business Administration, Mass Communication
150Every other programme on the list, across Agriculture, Arts, Education, Environmental Science, Science and Computing, Administration and Management Sciences, and Social Sciences

Entrepreneurship is on the 150 tier with Accounting, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Public Administration and Taxation. Business Administration is the only course in the faculty set higher, at 160.

Safe target score for Entrepreneurship at ADSU (my advice)

Clearing the cut-off puts you in the screening pool, and ADSU then admits from that pool by merit. ADSU does not publish the score of the last candidate admitted into each course, so the table below is my judgement as an admissions adviser, not an ADSU rule.

Your UTME scoreMy read for ADSU Entrepreneurship
Below 150Not eligible for any ADSU course this session
150 to 164Eligible. A place depends on your O’level grades and how many people applied
165 to 174A reasonable chance if your O’level is clean
175 and aboveComfortable. This is the range I would aim for

For the 2027 UTME I would aim for at least 175, with credits (ideally B3 or better) in English, Mathematics and Economics. Entrepreneurship is not usually the most crowded course in a management faculty, so a score in the 170s with good grades should put you in a sound position.

Catchment and state of origin

ADSU has not published a catchment quota for Entrepreneurship. The only state-of-origin rule on its 2026/2027 list is in Law, where Adamawa indigenes need 230 and others 260. As a state university, ADSU naturally draws most of its applicants from Adamawa and the North-East, but candidates from any state who meet 150 can apply.

UTME subject combination and O’level for ADSU Entrepreneurship

RequirementEntrepreneurship at ADSU
UTME subjectsUse of English plus Mathematics, Economics and one other relevant subject. This is JAMB’s usual pattern for Entrepreneurship degrees; the Myschool brochure page for Entrepreneurship did not load when I checked, and I found no ADSU remark. Confirm on the JAMB e-brochure.
O’level (JAMB brochure)Usually five credits including English Language, Mathematics and Economics (confirm on the e-brochure)
O’level (ADSU 2026/2027 notice)Five credits including English Language and Mathematics, for every course
Exams acceptedWAEC, NECO or NABTEB (JAMB’s usual list; ADSU’s notice did not name the bodies in the reprint I read)
SittingsNot stated in the reprint of ADSU’s notice; most Nigerian universities accept two sittings, but one sitting is safer
Direct EntryTwo A-level passes in relevant subjects, usually including Economics, or a relevant ND, HND or NCE (JAMB’s usual pattern; confirm with ADSU)

If you are unsure, the safest UTME combination for Entrepreneurship is Use of English, Mathematics, Economics and Commerce or Accounting. That set also fits Marketing and Taxation at ADSU, which gives you room if you need a change of course later.

Your names must be the same on your O’level result, your JAMB profile and your birth certificate. A mismatch is one of the most common reasons clearance stalls in the final week.

How ADSU screening worked for Entrepreneurship in 2026/2027

ADSU ran one online screening exercise for UTME and Direct Entry candidates in 2026/2027. The notice, as reprinted by Myschool on 12 June 2026 and by Androidpols on 15 June 2026, described an online screening and did not announce a written test.

Worked example for an Entrepreneurship candidate

ADSU has not published an aggregate formula, and with no announced test there is no Post-UTME score to combine with your UTME. What you can work out is the gap between your score, the official minimum and a safe target. The figures below are illustrative.

Take Auwal, who scored 168 and has B3 in English, C4 in Mathematics, B2 in Economics, C5 in Commerce and C6 in Biology from one sitting.

  1. Eligibility: 168 minus 150 = 18. He clears the Entrepreneurship minimum by 18 marks.
  2. Against my safe target: 175 minus 168 = 7. He is 7 marks below the score I would call safe.
  3. O’level check: five credits including English, Mathematics and Economics. Nothing rules him out.
  4. What I would advise: keep Entrepreneurship and make sure it is the exact course on his JAMB profile. If ADSU offers a related course on CAPS, he should consider it carefully before rejecting it.

Khadija scored 151 with a C6 in Mathematics. She is eligible on paper. With only one mark to spare, her O’level grades and the size of the applicant pool decide the outcome, so she should register again in 2027 as a back-up while she waits for CAPS.

How to apply for Entrepreneurship at ADSU, step by step

  1. Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN.
  2. Register the UTME with ADSU as first choice: choose Entrepreneurship (if it appears under ADSU on the e-brochure) as your course, with Use of English plus Mathematics, Economics and one other relevant subject. If ADSU was not your first choice, do a JAMB change of institution before the screening opens.
  3. Upload your O’level to CAPS: go to a JAMB-accredited centre and have your WAEC, NECO or NABTEB result uploaded. Without it, CAPS cannot match you to the five-credit rule.
  4. Fill the ADSU screening form: on adsu.edu.ng, click the Post UTME link and fill in your details. In 2026/2027 this was open from 15 June to 30 October.
  5. Pay the ₦2,000 screening fee: that was the 2026/2027 amount. Pay only through the method the portal gives you, and keep the receipt.
  6. Save your confirmation: print or save whatever the portal gives you after payment, and keep it with your JAMB result slip and O’level results.
  7. Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS. Accept the offer if you want it. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status.
  8. Pay acceptance and clear at ADSU: ADSU has not published its acceptance fee in any source I reached, so confirm the amount on the portal or at the Admissions Office before you pay.

JAMB set 31 October 2026 as the 2026/2027 deadline for public universities; that date has now passed. If you applied to ADSU this year, check JAMB CAPS and the ADSU portal for your admission status. If you did not get in, plan for the 2027 UTME and read when JAMB 2027 registration starts.

Studying Entrepreneurship at ADSU

ADSU has not published a separate Entrepreneurship page that I could open, so the description below is what a Nigerian B.Sc. in Entrepreneurship normally covers. ADSU lists it in the Faculty of Administration and Management Sciences.

The degree normally runs for four years for UTME entrants (three for Direct Entry). ADSU has not stated the duration in a source I reached.

What you study

  • Foundations: principles of management, micro and macroeconomics, business mathematics and introductory accounting.
  • Venture creation: idea generation, feasibility studies, business plans and small business management.
  • Money and markets: small business finance, marketing for new ventures, taxation for small firms.
  • Practice: case studies, a student enterprise or industrial attachment, and a final-year project.

Accreditation

I found no NUC accreditation report for ADSU’s Entrepreneurship programme, so its status is not confirmed. For context, NUC’s accreditation report for ADSU’s Business Administration, the faculty’s best-known course, records Full accreditation with a score of 80.80% after a 2024 visit. Ask the department for the current status of Entrepreneurship before you pay acceptance.

Careers

Graduates start and run small businesses, work in SME support and microfinance, join enterprise development agencies and NGOs, or move into business development and sales roles. In Adamawa, agriculture-linked businesses (processing, storage, trading) are an obvious opening, and ADSU itself says its focus is now geared towards agriculture.

For UTME revision, start with our JAMB Economics syllabus. If you are retrying next year, read how to check your JAMB result and what to do with the score.

Mistakes that cost Entrepreneurship applicants an ADSU place

  • Registering a different course name on JAMB: confirm Entrepreneurship is on ADSU’s JAMB list first.
  • Reading the cut-off as an admission score: it only lets you into the screening pool.
  • No credit in Mathematics: ADSU’s 2026/2027 notice asked every candidate for credits in English and Mathematics.
  • O’level not uploaded to CAPS: the screening cannot match you to the five-credit rule without it.
  • ADSU not first choice: the notice told other candidates to change their first choice to ADSU on JAMB’s website.
  • Accepting on CAPS and stopping there: acceptance fee payment and clearance at ADSU are separate steps.

ADSU cut off mark for Entrepreneurship: frequently asked questions

Is 150 enough for Entrepreneurship in ADSU? Yes, 150 is ADSU’s official 2026/2027 cut-off for Entrepreneurship, so it makes you eligible. It does not guarantee a place; I would aim for 175 or more.

Does ADSU offer Entrepreneurship on JAMB? It is on ADSU’s own 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 cut-off lists, but it was not on the JAMB brochure list for ADSU that I read. Check the JAMB e-brochure or ask ADSU before you register.

Does ADSU write post UTME for Entrepreneurship? The 2026/2027 notice described an online screening at ₦2,000 and did not announce a test. ADSU has not announced the 2027/2028 arrangements yet.

What subjects do I need for Entrepreneurship in ADSU? Plan on Use of English, Mathematics, Economics and one other relevant subject, with five O’level credits including English, Mathematics and Economics. Confirm on the JAMB e-brochure because the brochure page did not load for me.

The 150 figure for Entrepreneurship comes from ADSU’s 2026/2027 approved programme cut-off list, issued by the Office of the Registrar and signed by Dunfe S. Anjili, Admission Officer, for the Registrar (uploaded June 2026). The 2025/2026 figure comes from ADSU’s 2025/2026 programme cut-off list, signed by Angyatiya B. Atimi, Admission Officer, for the Registrar. The ₦2,000 fee, the 15 June to 30 October 2026 window, the five-credit rule and the 150 general minimum come from ADSU’s 2026/2027 Post-UTME/DE notice as reprinted by Myschool (12 June 2026) and Androidpols (15 June 2026); I did not open the original PDF of that notice. The national minimum of 150 and the 31 October 2026 deadline for public universities come from the News Agency of Nigeria (11 May 2026). The JAMB brochure list of ADSU courses was read on Myschool (institution courses page) on 3 November 2026; Entrepreneurship was not on it, and the Myschool brochure page for Entrepreneurship did not load. The Business Administration accreditation figure is from NUC’s accreditation report for Adamawa State University Mubi. Subject requirements are JAMB’s usual ones for the course. Checked on 3 November 2026. This page will be updated when ADSU publishes its 2027/2028 cut-off list.
