OSISATECH Cut-Off Mark for Business Administration and Management 2027/2028: Requirements, Subject Combination and Screening

OSISATECH has no departmental cut-off for Business Administration and Management: JAMB’s minimum is 100 and the school says 140 and above is likely to get in. See the UTME subjects, O’level rules, screening, fees and a safe target score.

There is no separate OSISATECH cut-off mark for Business Administration and Management. The official minimum is 100 in the UTME, the score JAMB fixed for all polytechnics for 2026/2027, and Our Saviour Institute of Science and Technology (OSISATECH), Enugu, has not published a higher departmental figure. Its own FAQ page goes one step further: it says candidates with 140 and above are likely to be admitted, and that the figure is reviewed every year.

2027/2028 update: OSISATECH cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

Business Administration and Management (BAM) is on JAMB’s course list for OSISATECH, so you can apply for it through the UTME. This guide covers the subject combination JAMB accepts, the O’level rule, how this private polytechnic admits without a Post-UTME test, the last published fees, and a safe score to aim for in the 2027 UTME.

The only number that comes from OSISATECH itself is the 140 on its FAQ page. It is a guide, written in 2021, and the school says it changes yearly. Everything else in the table is JAMB’s national floor. Business courses at private polytechnics in Enugu rarely fill on merit alone, so most candidates who clear 140 with good O’level results have a fair chance, but I would not lean on that for a single-choice plan.

Safe target score for BAM at OSISATECH (my advice)

This table is my judgement as an admissions adviser. OSISATECH has not published it.

Your UTME scoreMy read for BAM at OSISATECH
Below 100Not eligible for full-time ND at any polytechnic
100 to 139Eligible under JAMB rules, below the score the school calls likely; possible, but don’t count on it
140 to 159At or above OSISATECH’s own “likely” line
160 and aboveComfortable. This is the range I would aim for

For the 2027 UTME I would aim for 160 or more. That puts you above the school’s own “likely” line with room to spare, and it keeps public options such as IMT Enugu open if you change your mind before CAPS closes.

UTME subject combination and O’level for Business Administration at OSISATECH

RequirementWhat JAMB’s brochure says
UTME subjectsUse of English (compulsory) + Mathematics + any two of Geography, Commerce, Government, Principles of Accounts, Economics
O’levelFive credits: English Language (not Literature in English), Mathematics, and any three of Economics/Commerce, Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, Literature in English, Geography, Office Practice, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics, History/Government, Typewriting, Shorthand
SittingsNot more than two (OSISATECH admission page)
Exams acceptedWAEC, NECO, NABTEB, GCE O/L or equivalent (OSISATECH admission page)
OSISATECH remark on the brochureNone. The general rule applies
Direct EntryBrochure section is blank; OSISATECH mentions year-two entry for NCE or ND holders

Two details catch people. Mathematics is compulsory in the UTME for BAM at OSISATECH; the “Mathematics not compulsory” remark on the brochure belongs to Igbajo Polytechnic only. And Geography counts as one of your two other subjects, which helps candidates who did not take Commerce. Biology is not on the general UTME list for this course (Akanu Ibiam has its own remark allowing it), so an English, Mathematics, Economics and Biology combination is a risk here.

At O’level, a credit in Literature in English does not replace English Language. You need English Language itself.

How OSISATECH screens BAM candidates

OSISATECH’s FAQ says plainly that it does not organise a Post-UTME exam. Candidates who passed the UTME and have good O’level results apply by presenting their credentials to the admission officer at the Ogui Road campus. The school then recommends admissions through JAMB CAPS. No aggregate formula has been published, so in practice your UTME score and your O’level grades decide it.

Worked example (illustrative)

Take Ifeoma, who scored 152 in English, Mathematics, Economics and Commerce, and has B3 in English, C4 in Mathematics, and credits in Economics, Commerce and Government from one WAEC sitting.

  1. JAMB floor: 152 minus 100 = 52 marks above the polytechnic minimum.
  2. School guide: 152 minus 140 = 12 marks above the score OSISATECH calls likely.
  3. Subjects: Mathematics plus Economics and Commerce matches the brochure line exactly.
  4. O’level: five credits including English Language and Mathematics, one sitting. Nothing rules her out.
  5. My advice: upload the O’level to CAPS early, buy the form and keep checking CAPS. She is a strong BAM applicant for a private polytechnic.

Compare Tobenna with 118 and a C6 in Mathematics. He is eligible under JAMB’s rule and his Mathematics credit is valid, but he sits 22 marks under the school’s own guide. He should still apply, and he should also look at part-time ND (no UTME needed at OSISATECH) as a back-up.

How to apply for Business Administration and Management at OSISATECH, step by step

  1. Get your JAMB profile code: text NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN.
  2. Register for the UTME: pick Business Administration and Management with English, Mathematics and two of Geography, Commerce, Government, Principles of Accounts or Economics. JAMB lists the school as “Our Saviour Institute of Science, Agric. & Tech.”
  3. Write the UTME and clear the minimum: 100 is the JAMB floor for polytechnics; aim well above it.
  4. Upload your O’level on CAPS: do it at a JAMB-accredited centre. A result that is not on CAPS cannot be used for your admission.
  5. Change institution if needed: if OSISATECH was not your choice at registration, do a JAMB change of institution first.
  6. Buy the OSISATECH form: the school’s FAQ says you take your credentials to the admission officer at the Ogui campus (#1 Ogui Road, Enugu) for validation, then pay at Ohha Microfinance Bank. Its fees page says admission is not currently done online.
  7. Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status and accept the offer. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status.
  8. Pay fees and register: pay at the bank named by the school, then complete registration. Returning students use the portal at osisatech.skool-board.com.

Warning

OSISATECH says its fees can only be paid at OHHA Microfinance Bank, #1 Ogui Road, Enugu. Do not pay anyone who offers to “process” your admission, and do not accept an admission letter that never shows up on JAMB CAPS. JAMB has said admissions done outside CAPS are illegal.

For the 2026/2027 cycle, JAMB set 31 December 2026 as the admission deadline for polytechnics, monotechnics and colleges of education. If you sat the 2026 UTME and chose OSISATECH, that window runs until then.

OSISATECH fees for Business Administration and Management students

OSISATECH does not list Business Administration and Management separately on its fees page. It charges the same amounts for every ND, NCE and HND student. The page carries no session label and was last modified on 19 March 2021, so treat these as the most recent official figures, which may have risen since.

Fee itemAmountHow often
School fees and accommodation₦36,000Per semester
Portal/ICT fee₦3,000Per semester
Utility fee₦3,000Per semester
Admission form₦10,000First year only
Matriculation fee₦10,000First year only
Medical insurance₦5,000First year only
Sports levy₦12,000First year only
Founder’s anniversary₦1,000First year only

Adding those up (my arithmetic, not an OSISATECH total), a first-year ND student on the 2021 figures would pay ₦84,000 across two semesters plus ₦38,000 in one-off charges: about ₦122,000, with accommodation included in the semester fee. The school’s FAQ page (last updated October 2021) also says there is no acceptance fee. Ask the admission office for the current schedule before you pay anything, because 2021 prices are unlikely to have held.

Studying Business Administration and Management at OSISATECH

The ND runs for two years full-time, with the industrial attachment (SIWES) that NBTE programmes include. Graduates who want to go further spend a year in industrial training and then apply for the two-year HND. OSISATECH also offers part-time ND, which its admission page says does not require the UTME.

What you study

  • Principles of management, organisational behaviour and business communication.
  • Marketing, human resource management and small business or entrepreneurship courses.
  • Financial accounting, business mathematics and statistics, and introductory economics.
  • Business law and computer applications, plus a project in the final semester.

Accreditation

NBTE approved OSISATECH to admit ND students in December 1991, according to the school’s About page, and NBTE’s 2020 Directory of Accredited Programmes lists it as a private polytechnic (serial 101, P.M.B. 01161, Enugu). The programme-level accreditation status of Business Administration and Management is not confirmed: the directory’s programme tables could not be read, and OSISATECH does not publish it. Before you pay, ask the admission office to show you the current NBTE accreditation for the course. It affects whether you can move on to HND and how employers treat the ND.

Careers

An ND in BAM leads to junior roles in administration, sales, customer service, procurement and human resources, or to running a small business. Many graduates use it as the first step to an HND in Business Administration or Marketing and to membership of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

If you want a public polytechnic in Enugu instead, compare our IMT Enugu Business Administration cut-off mark guide.

Mistakes that cost BAM applicants an OSISATECH place

  • Dropping Mathematics from the UTME: it is compulsory for BAM at OSISATECH.
  • Using Literature for English: the O’level rule names English Language.
  • Three sittings: OSISATECH accepts results from not more than two.
  • Leaving O’level off CAPS: the school cannot recommend you without it.
  • Paying an agent: the form is bought at the campus and paid at the named bank.

OSISATECH Business Administration cut-off mark: frequently asked questions

Is 120 enough for Business Administration in OSISATECH? 120 clears JAMB’s 100 minimum, so you can be considered. It is below the 140 that OSISATECH’s FAQ calls likely, so apply early and have a back-up.
