The Rhema University Human Anatomy cut-off mark is 150 in the UTME, JAMB’s national minimum for universities for 2026/2027. Rhema University, Aba has not published a departmental cut-off for B.Sc. Human Anatomy, and it is missing from the list of institution-declared cut-offs released after JAMB’s 2026 policy meeting. With 150 or more, Rhema as your institution and the right five O’level credits, you can apply.
2027/2028 update: Rhema cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.
Human Anatomy is the course many candidates land in when Medicine is out of reach, and some choose it on purpose for careers in teaching, research or forensic work. Below are the official figures, a safe target score (my advice), Rhema’s O’level and Direct Entry rules, the screening position, a worked example, the CAPS steps and what the degree covers.
Rhema University Human Anatomy cut-off mark: the official position
| Item | Position | Status |
|---|---|---|
| JAMB minimum for universities (2026/2027) | 150 | Official (JAMB policy meeting, 11 May 2026) |
| Rhema minimum for Human Anatomy | Not published | No Rhema figure on official pages or the 2026 declared list |
| Departmental merit cut-off | Not published | Rhema does not release the last admitted score |
| Screening for this course | Not published | Rhema’s confirmed screening notice covered only MBBS and Nursing |
| UTME subjects | English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology | JAMB’s usual combination; confirm on the e-brochure |
| O’level | Five credits: English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology | Rhema admissions page |
| Degree | B.Sc. Human Anatomy | Rhema admissions page |
Rhema University is in Aba, Abia State, on Aba-Owerri Road. Some blogs describe a Rhema University in Obeama-Asa, Rivers State; that is a mix-up, and this page is about the Aba university.
Rhema Human Anatomy cut-off history
| Session | Figure | What it is | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026/2027 | 150 | JAMB national minimum for universities | Official, JAMB 2026 policy meeting |
| 2025/2026 | 150 | JAMB national minimum for universities | JAMB 2025 policy meeting |
| Any session | None | Rhema-declared Human Anatomy cut-off | Never published in sources I reached |
Old “Rhema cut-off for all courses” tables from 2018/2019 still circulate. They do not cite a Rhema document, and I would not use them for a 2027 decision.
Safe target score for Human Anatomy at Rhema (my advice)
Anatomy draws fewer applicants than Medicine, Nursing or Medical Laboratory Science, and at a private university the pool is smaller again. That makes it one of the more reachable health-related courses at Rhema. The table is my judgement as an adviser, not a Rhema rule.
| Your UTME score | My read for Rhema Human Anatomy |
|---|---|
| Below 150 | Not eligible for any Rhema degree course |
| 150 to 159 | Eligible; apply early and make sure your O’level is complete |
| 160 to 179 | Reasonable chance |
| 180 to 199 | Good chance |
| 200 and above | Strong |
For the 2027 UTME, I would aim for 180 or more. If you are choosing Anatomy as a route towards Medicine, aim higher, around 220, so that you are still competitive for MBBS somewhere.
UTME subject combination and O’level for Rhema Human Anatomy
| Requirement | Human Anatomy at Rhema |
|---|---|
| UTME subjects | Use of English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (JAMB’s usual combination; confirm on the JAMB e-brochure) |
| O’level | Five credits: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology |
| Exams accepted | WASSCE or NECO SSCE (named on Rhema’s page) |
| Sittings | Not stated |
| Entry modes | UTME into 100 level; Direct Entry into 200 level |
The JAMB brochure for Human Anatomy, as reprinted by Myschool, lists Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and Use of English is compulsory in every UTME. Rhema does not appear in the brochure’s school-specific remarks for the course. Rhema’s admissions page does not say whether it accepts two sittings for Anatomy, so ask if your credits come from more than one exam.
Direct Entry into Human Anatomy
Rhema is more specific for Anatomy than for most courses. On top of the five O’level credits, Direct Entry into 200 level needs one of these:
- A-level GCE passes in at least two relevant subjects, named as Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Zoology
- IJMB
- NCE in relevant subjects
- ND at upper credit in relevant subjects
- HND at lower credit in relevant subjects
- A first degree in a related field
An NCE in Biology and Chemistry, or an ND in Science Laboratory Technology at upper credit, would be the usual fits. Confirm with the admissions office before you register for Direct Entry with JAMB.
Does Rhema screen Human Anatomy candidates?
Rhema has not published a screening procedure for Human Anatomy in any source I reached. The one notice I could confirm, reprinted by Myschool on 10 September 2025, invited only MBBS and Nursing candidates to a written screening on 16 September 2025, with centres in Aba, Abuja and Lagos.
Some education blogs say Rhema holds a computer-based test for every course, but they cite no official notice, and one of them gives two different form prices on the same page. Apply on Rhema’s portal and call the admissions office (08107159322) to ask whether Anatomy candidates sit a test that year.
Worked example (illustrative only)
Without a published Rhema formula, the most useful sum is the distance between your score, the 150 floor and my target of 180. If Rhema does set a test, the 50:50 aggregate many Nigerian universities use (UTME ÷ 8, plus the screening percentage halved) is a fair way to picture it. Neither method is Rhema’s.
- Obinna: UTME 171. 171 minus 150 = 21 above the floor; 180 minus 171 = 9 below my target. Five credits in one sitting. He is in my “reasonable chance” band.
- If there is a test: Obinna scores 64%. 171 ÷ 8 = 21.375, plus 32, gives an illustrative aggregate of 53.4.
- Adaeze: UTME 205 (25.6) but 40% at screening (20), for 45.6. Obinna would be ahead by about 8 points.
- Medicine candidates: if you applied for MBBS at Rhema and missed out, Rhema may offer Human Anatomy through a CAPS transfer. Accepting it is a real option, but read the Medicine section below first.
Human Anatomy as a route to Medicine: be careful
Many students accept Anatomy hoping to transfer into MBBS after 100 or 200 level. Rhema has not published any inter-departmental transfer policy for Medicine, and MDCN quotas limit how many students a medical school can carry, so you should not count on a transfer. If you would only be happy studying Medicine, retake the UTME with a stronger score. If anatomy itself interests you, it is a good degree on its own terms.
A related point: Rhema’s College of Medicine and Health Sciences received MDCN pre-clinical accreditation after a visit on 13 October 2022, which covers anatomy examinations for medical students (Rhema news, 27 October 2022). That is about the MBBS programme. It shows the college’s anatomy teaching passed an MDCN visit, but it is not an accreditation of the B.Sc. Human Anatomy degree itself.
How to apply for Human Anatomy at Rhema, step by step
- Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the line linked to your NIN.
- Register the UTME: choose Human Anatomy with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and select Rhema University. If you chose another school, use a JAMB change of institution; to switch from another course, see JAMB change of course.
- Upload your O’level to CAPS: at a JAMB office or accredited CBT centre, with your WAEC or NECO result.
- Apply on Rhema’s portal: open the Admissions page on rhemauniversity.edu.ng and click “Apply Now” to reach the admission sign-in page. Complete the form and print your slip.
- Confirm screening: call 08107159322 or 08076846648 and ask whether Anatomy candidates sit a test.
- Accept on CAPS: at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, choose Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS. JAMB allowed four weeks to accept in 2026. Our JAMB CAPS guide covers each status.
- Pay acceptance and clear: Rhema has not published the acceptance fee in any source I reached. Confirm the amount with the university before paying, then take your originals for clearance.
Warning
Be wary of anyone who promises to “convert” Human Anatomy into Medicine for a fee. Course changes at a university go through the institution and JAMB CAPS, and Rhema has published no paid route. Pay only what Rhema’s portal or admissions office tells you.
Studying Human Anatomy at Rhema University
Rhema University is a private Christian university in Aba, established in 2010 according to its own news page. It awards a B.Sc. in Human Anatomy. The admissions page does not name the college or the duration; a B.Sc. in Human Anatomy normally takes four years in Nigeria through UTME, and three through Direct Entry.
Accreditation
Rhema’s admissions page says all its courses are accredited by the NUC and the relevant professional bodies. I could not find a published NUC result for B.Sc. Human Anatomy at Rhema to confirm that independently. Ask the department for its current NUC status before you pay fees.
What you study
- 100 level: biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and general studies.
- Core anatomy: gross anatomy with cadaver dissection, histology, embryology and neuroanatomy.
- Applied areas: radiological anatomy, anthropology, and laboratory techniques such as tissue processing and embalming.
- Final year: a research project.
- Careers: teaching and research in anatomy, histology and pathology laboratories, forensic and mortuary science, pharmaceutical and medical sales, and postgraduate study (M.Sc. and Ph.D. in anatomy are the usual path to lecturing).

Mistakes Human Anatomy applicants make
- Treating 150 as a guaranteed place: it is the minimum to apply.
- Dropping Physics: Rhema lists it among the five O’level credits for Anatomy.
- Banking on a transfer to Medicine: Rhema has published no such route.
- Leaving O’level off CAPS: no CAPS upload, no offer.
- Forgetting acceptance and clearance: CAPS acceptance alone does not complete admission.

Rhema University Human Anatomy cut-off mark: frequently asked questions
Is 160 enough for Human Anatomy at Rhema University? 160 clears JAMB’s 150 minimum, so you can apply. Rhema has not published a departmental cut-off; I would aim for 180 to be comfortable.
Can I change from Human Anatomy to Medicine at Rhema? Rhema has not published a transfer policy into MBBS, and medical school places are capped by the MDCN. Don’t accept Anatomy expecting a transfer.
What JAMB subjects are needed for Human Anatomy? JAMB’s usual combination is Use of English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Confirm Rhema’s entry on the JAMB e-brochure when you register.
Does Rhema University write Post-UTME for Human Anatomy? Rhema has not published a screening notice for Anatomy; its 2025/2026 notice covered only MBBS and Nursing. Call the admissions office on 08107159322 to confirm for your year.

The O’level subjects, the Direct Entry list (including the named A-level subjects), 200-level entry, the “Apply Now” route, the number 08076846648 and Rhema’s general accreditation statement come from Rhema University’s admissions page (undated, checked 29 October 2026). The MDCN pre-clinical accreditation and the 13 October 2022 visit are from Rhema’s news report of 27 October 2022. The MBBS and Nursing screening of 16 September 2025 and the number 08107159322 are from Myschool’s reprint of Rhema’s notice (10 September 2025). The national minimum of 150 and the four-week CAPS window come from the News Agency of Nigeria (11 May 2026); News Central’s full list of declared cut-offs from that meeting does not include Rhema. UTME subjects are JAMB’s brochure requirements for Human Anatomy as reprinted by Myschool. The safe target score and worked example are my advice. Checked on 29 October 2026; this page will be updated if Rhema publishes an Anatomy cut-off or screening notice.
