There is no Marist Poly cut-off mark for Estate Management that a UTME candidate can plan with, because the course is not on JAMB’s course list for Marist Polytechnic. Marist, at Emene in Enugu, shows ND Estate Management on its own courses page, but JAMB’s list for the school has six courses and Estate Management is not one of them. If it is added, JAMB’s polytechnic minimum of 100 (2026/2027) would be the floor. Until then you cannot choose it as a Marist course in the UTME.
2027/2028 update: Marist Poly cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.
Below I explain what the gap means for 2027 candidates, the subjects and O’level credits JAMB’s brochure sets for Estate Management and Valuation at polytechnics, the Enugu schools where you can study it through JAMB today, and the Marist courses you can choose instead.
Is Estate Management on JAMB’s list for Marist Poly?
No. Myschool’s reprint of JAMB’s institution course list for Marist Polytechnic, checked on 30 October 2026, carries six courses. Marist’s own courses page lists more, including Estate Management:
| Course | On JAMB’s Marist list | On Marist’s courses page |
|---|---|---|
| Business Administration and Management | Yes | Yes (ND and HND) |
| Computer Engineering | Yes | Yes (ND) |
| Computer Science | Yes | Yes (ND and HND) |
| Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology | Yes | Yes (ND and HND) |
| Science Laboratory Technology | Yes | Yes (ND and HND) |
| Statistics | Yes | No |
| Estate Management | No | Yes (ND) |
| Biomedical Engineering Technology | No | Yes (ND) |
| Nutrition and Dietetics | No | Yes (ND) |
| Public Administration and Management | No | Yes (ND) |
Estate Management was also absent from Marist’s last official advert (26 June 2025), which opened ND admission in five courses only: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Electronics Engineering, Science Laboratory Technology and Business Administration and Management. Its current status at Marist is unverified; it may be new or awaiting approval. Confirm with the school in writing before you pay.
What this means for a UTME candidate
- You cannot pick Estate Management at Marist on the JAMB registration form while it is off the list.
- Marist cannot recommend you for it on JAMB CAPS, and an admission that never shows on CAPS is not valid.
- No genuine “Marist Estate Management cut-off” exists. Any figure online is a guess.
- When 2027 UTME registration opens, check the JAMB e-brochure again. If Estate Management appears under Marist, the brochure rules below are the ones to follow.
Marist Poly Estate Management cut-off mark: the position
| Item | Position | Status |
|---|---|---|
| JAMB minimum for polytechnics (2026/2027) | 100 | Official; would apply if the course is added |
| Marist departmental cut-off | None | Course not on JAMB’s Marist list |
| On JAMB’s Marist list | No | Myschool reprint of JAMB list, 30 October 2026 |
| In Marist’s 2025/2026 advert | No | Advert of 26 June 2025 |
| On Marist’s courses page | Yes, as ND Estate Management | maristpolytechnic.edu.ng/courses |
JAMB set 100 for every polytechnic for 2026/2027, the same as 2025/2026. That is the lowest score that could qualify you for any ND through the UTME. It is not a sign that Marist is admitting into Estate Management.
UTME subjects and O’level for Estate Management (JAMB polytechnic brochure)
JAMB’s polytechnic brochure lists the course as Estate Management and Valuation. Marist has no remark on the page.
| Requirement | What JAMB’s brochure says |
|---|---|
| UTME subjects | Use of English (compulsory) + Mathematics + any two of Economics, Arts, Physics, Chemistry, Biology |
| O’level | Five credits: Mathematics, English Language, a basic science, and any two of Geography, Economics/Commerce, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Fine Art, Woodwork, Literature, Metal Work, Principles of Accounts and Book Keeping, Government |
| IMT Enugu remark | Accepts Biology/Agricultural Science in the UTME |
| Direct Entry | Brochure section is blank for this course |
Two points catch candidates. Economics is not compulsory in the base UTME line, though Offa Polytechnic and TOPS require it by remark and Yaba and Kaduna build their combinations around it, so I would include it anyway. And Geography is not in the base UTME line at all; only a few named schools accept it. If you plan to apply to IMT Enugu, English, Mathematics, Economics and Physics or Biology is a sound choice.
At O’level, the “basic science” credit is easy to forget if you were in the arts or commercial class. Physics, Chemistry or Biology will do, but you need one.
Where you can study Estate Management in Enugu through JAMB
| School | Qualification | Floor for 2026/2027 | Our guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu | ND Estate Management and Valuation | 100 (polytechnic minimum) | IMT Estate Management cut-off mark |
| University of Nigeria (Enugu Campus) | B.Sc Estate Management | 150 university minimum; UNN sets its own screening score | UNN Estate Management cut-off mark |
| Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) | B.Sc Estate Management | 150 university minimum; ESUT sets its own | ESUT Estate Management cut-off mark |
For an ND in Enugu, IMT is the obvious choice: it is a public polytechnic, the course is on its list, and the brochure remark lets you use Agricultural Science in the UTME. For a degree, UNN and ESUT both run Estate Management; each guide covers that school’s screening score and O’level rules.
Marist courses you can choose instead
If you want Marist itself, the courses on its JAMB list that sit nearest to property and business are Business Administration and Management (English, Mathematics and two of Geography, Commerce, Government, Principles of Accounts, Economics) and Statistics. Neither leads to registration as an estate surveyor, so only take this route if Marist matters more to you than the course.
Safe target score for Estate Management (my advice)
This is my advice, not a published figure.
| Route | Floor | What I would aim for |
|---|---|---|
| ND at IMT Enugu | 100 | 150 or more |
| ND at Marist, if the course is added to JAMB’s list | 100 | 140 or more |
| B.Sc at UNN or ESUT | 150 (university minimum) | 200 or more |
How to apply through JAMB, step by step
These steps work for any course on Marist’s JAMB list, and for Estate Management only if it appears there for 2027. For IMT, swap in IMT and its own portal.
- Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN by SMS to 55019 or 66019 from the line linked to your NIN. JAMB replies with the profile code you need to buy the UTME e-PIN.
- Register for the UTME: choose Marist Polytechnic and a course that is on JAMB’s Marist list, with the subjects the brochure names for that course.
- Write the UTME and clear 100: 100 is JAMB’s floor for every polytechnic in 2026/2027. Aim higher (see the safe target above).
- Upload your O’level on CAPS: go to a JAMB-accredited CBT centre and have your WAEC, NECO or NABTEB result uploaded. A result that is not on CAPS cannot be used to admit you, and Awaiting Result candidates must upload once the result is out.
- Make Marist your choice: if you picked another school at registration, do a JAMB change of institution. Marist’s 2025/2026 advert told candidates to do exactly this at a JAMB CBT centre.
- Apply on the Marist portal: from the Admissions menu on maristpolytechnic.edu.ng, click Apply Now. It opens portal.maristpolytechnic.edu.ng, where you fill the application and upload your details.
- Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status and accept the offer. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status you may see.
- Pay acceptance and school fees: pay only through channels the portal or the bursary names, then print your JAMB admission letter and complete registration.
Warning
Estate Management is not on JAMB’s course list for Marist Polytechnic as of 30 October 2026. Do not pay for a Marist form, acceptance or fees for this course until the school confirms in writing that it admits into it through JAMB CAPS. JAMB has said admissions outside CAPS are illegal.
For the 2026/2027 cycle, JAMB set 31 December 2026 as the admission deadline for polytechnics, monotechnics and colleges of education, and said offers must be accepted on CAPS. If you sat the 2026 UTME and chose Marist, that window runs until 31 December 2026.
What Estate Management involves
Estate Management and Valuation trains you to value, manage, let and develop land and buildings. A typical ND runs for two years full-time with a SIWES placement, and covers land economics, valuation, property law, building construction, land surveying basics, property management and agency.
Accreditation and professional registration
NBTE lists Marist Polytechnic as a private polytechnic approved in 2016, but the accreditation of its Estate Management programme is not confirmed, and the course’s absence from JAMB’s list for Marist is a reason to ask first. Becoming a registered estate surveyor and valuer in Nigeria goes through the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers and its registration board, so check that any programme you choose is one they recognise for progression.
Careers
ND holders work as property officers, letting agents, valuation assistants and facility management staff in estate firms, banks, government lands offices and real estate companies. Most go on to an HND or a degree before professional registration.
Who runs Marist Polytechnic
Marist Polytechnic is a private Catholic polytechnic run by the Marist Brothers at Umuchigbo Iji-Nike, Emene, Enugu State. The Rector is Rev. Br. Anochie Okechukwu Venantius (PhD). NBTE’s 2020 Directory of Accredited Programmes lists it as a private polytechnic (entry 85, P.M.B. 104 Emene) and gives 2016 as the year government approved it. The school’s courses page groups programmes into five schools: Computing and IT, Engineering Technology, Environmental Technology, Health/Allied/Applied Sciences, and Management Sciences.
Estate Management would belong to the Environmental Technology school, which appears in the courses page filter, but the page does not link programmes to schools, and the course has not been in any Marist advert we found.
