FCE Eha-Amufu has no UTME cut-off mark for Integrated Science (NCE) under the current rules. Since the Federal Government and JAMB’s policy meeting of 11 May 2026, NCE candidates with at least four O’level credit passes do not sit the UTME. You register with JAMB through its special NCE registration, Federal College of Education, Eha-Amufu recommends you, and JAMB confirms the offer on CAPS. The last numeric minimum was 100, JAMB’s national figure for colleges of education in 2025/2026, and the college has never published a separate figure for Integrated Science.
2027/2028 update: FCE Eha-Amufu admission requirements and the NCE entry process usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the details on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notices (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 rules change anything, we will update this page.
Integrated Science is the NCE subject behind Basic Science in Nigerian primary and junior secondary schools, and at FCE Eha-Amufu it is reported in four pairings: with Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry. Because it draws on all the sciences, it is the most forgiving science choice if your O’level is strong in one science and average in the others. Here are the credits I would want for each pairing, JAMB’s NCE registration and fees, the college’s selection, an example and careers.

Integrated Science at FCE Eha-Amufu: cut-off history
| Session | Figure | What it is | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026/2027 | No UTME score required | UTME exemption for NCE candidates with four credits | Official national policy |
| 2025/2026 | 100 | JAMB national minimum UTME score for colleges of education | Official national figure |
| Older years (blogs) | 100, or “110 and above” | Figures blogs print for the whole college | Unofficial; not tied to any college notice |
None of these figures is an Integrated Science cut-off. FCE Eha-Amufu has not published one for any year, and the blog numbers are college-wide and old.
O’level requirements for Integrated Science (NCE)
The national minimum is four credit passes. FCE Eha-Amufu’s own advert, as reprinted by o3schools in January 2026 (I could not reach it on a college page), asks for four credits in not more than two sittings, including English Language and Mathematics, with two of the credits relevant to your chosen course. Here is how I would read that for each combination in this group:
| Combination | Credits I would make sure you have (my advice) |
|---|---|
| Integrated Science/Mathematics | English, Mathematics (good grade), plus two of Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Agricultural Science |
| Integrated Science/Physics | English, Mathematics, Physics, plus one more science |
| Biology/Integrated Science | English, Mathematics, Biology, plus one more science |
| Chemistry/Integrated Science | English, Mathematics, Chemistry, plus one more science |
Agricultural Science often counts as a science credit for Integrated Science at colleges of education, which helps candidates from schools that did not offer Physics. FCE Eha-Amufu has not published its own list of accepted science subjects, so ask the college before relying on Agric.
Safe target in place of a cut-off
This is consultant advice, not a college rule. With no UTME score to beat, the strength of your O’level in the course subjects is what separates you from other applicants.
| Your O’level | My read for Integrated Science at Eha-Amufu |
|---|---|
| Fewer than four credits, or English/Mathematics missing | Not eligible this year; resit or ask the college about its Pre-NCE programme |
| Four credits with only one science | Eligible on paper, but thin for Integrated Science |
| Credits in two sciences (for example Biology and Agric) | Solid for Biology/Integrated Science or Integrated Science/Mathematics |
| Credits in three sciences, one sitting | Strong for any pairing; what I would aim for |
UTME subjects, if you write the UTME anyway
NCE does not require the UTME. If you also write it for a university option, Myschool’s reprint of the JAMB brochure has an entry for Education and Integrated Science at universities; check the subject list there or on the JAMB e-brochure before you register. JAMB handles one mode of entry at a time.
Direct Entry
There is no Direct Entry into the NCE itself. JAMB’s June 2026 guideline also stopped admission at 100 or 200 level into any college of education except through the NCE, and ended admissions into affiliated degree programmes in colleges of education, which includes Eha-Amufu’s UNN-affiliated B.Ed. After the NCE, Direct Entry runs the other way: you can use the NCE to apply for a degree at a university.
How to apply for Integrated Science at FCE Eha-Amufu
The steps below come from JAMB’s 2026/2027 NCE and agricultural ND registration flow. FCE Eha-Amufu has an IPRC (JAMB registration centre) on campus, and any JAMB-accredited CBT centre can register you as well.
- Get an O’level verification code: buy it from your exam body’s verification site. JAMB lists ₦1,500 for one sitting and ₦2,000 for two, and the two sittings can be from different exam bodies (WAEC and NECO, for example).
- Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the line linked to your NIN.
- Create or open your e-Facility account: use the profile code at efacility.jamb.gov.ng if you do not already have a profile.
- Register for NCE at a CBT centre, PRC or IPRC: pay ₦3,500 plus the ₦700 centre charge, present your verification code, choose your NCE course (Integrated Science paired with Mathematics, Physics, Biology or Chemistry) and pick three Colleges of Education. Put Federal College of Education, Eha-Amufu as your first choice, because your registration goes to your first-choice college.
- Upload your O’level results: the centre uploads them and captures your photograph and fingerprints. If your results are not out, mark Awaiting Results and upload them as soon as they are released. The college cannot recommend you until they are uploaded.
- Do the college’s own screening if it calls for one: FCE Eha-Amufu has not published its 2026/2027 screening notice in any source I could reach. Watch the college’s announcements and pay any form fee only through the college portal.
- College recommends you on CAPS: the Admission Officer proposes you and the Provost recommends you to JAMB’s CAPS, which then checks your O’level against the exam body’s records.
- Accept the offer on CAPS and print your admission letter: log in to e-Facility, open Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS. Accept quickly; JAMB withdraws offers not accepted within four weeks. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status.
- Pay acceptance and school charges, then clear: FCE Eha-Amufu has not published its acceptance fee officially. One blog quotes ₦5,000 through Remita; treat that as unconfirmed and pay only after generating an invoice on the college’s own portal.
JAMB fees for NCE registration
| What you pay | Amount | Paid where |
|---|---|---|
| O’level verification code (one sitting) | ₦1,500 | Exam body’s verification site (WAEC: buyresultsverificationcode.waeconline.org.ng) |
| O’level verification code (two sittings) | ₦2,000 | Either exam body’s platform |
| JAMB NCE application fee (new applicants) | ₦3,500 | JAMB portal, at a CBT centre or the college’s IPRC |
| CBT/IPRC registration charge | ₦700 | Same centre |
| 2026 UTME candidates converting to NCE | ₦700 only (no ₦3,500) | Same centre |
Warning
Every genuine FCE Eha-Amufu admission shows on JAMB CAPS, and JAMB has said admissions outside CAPS are illegal. Do not pay anyone who promises an NCE place. Pay JAMB fees on the JAMB portal at a registration centre, and college fees only through an invoice from the college’s own portal.
The college’s screening
JAMB’s flow leaves the choice of candidates to the college: its Admission Officer proposes and the Provost recommends you on CAPS. FCE Eha-Amufu has not published how it screens for 2026/2027. Blog reprints of earlier notices describe an online form: create a profile on the college portal, pay through a Remita invoice, upload a passport photograph, enter your JAMB and O’level details and date of birth, then print the acknowledgement. No fee or dates were given. One blog quotes a ₦5,000 acceptance fee, which is unconfirmed. Blogs name fceehaamufu.com and fceehaamufu.edu.ng as the college’s sites; I could not confirm either.
Worked example
This is an illustration of how the published rules apply. FCE Eha-Amufu has not published a scoring formula, so there is no aggregate to compute.
Kosisochukwu wants Integrated Science/Mathematics. His results over two sittings (WAEC and NECO 2026): English C5, Mathematics B3, Biology C4, Agricultural Science B3, Chemistry C6, Physics E8.
- Credits: English, Mathematics, Biology, Agricultural Science and Chemistry. Five, within two sittings.
- English and Mathematics: both credits, Mathematics at B3.
- Course subjects: Mathematics plus credits in Biology, Chemistry and Agric support Integrated Science/Mathematics. His E8 in Physics rules out Integrated Science/Physics.
- JAMB-side cost (two sittings): ₦2,000 + ₦3,500 + ₦700 = ₦6,200.
If he had only one science credit, I would tell him to improve his results before applying, because a weak science base is hard to defend for a course built on all the sciences.
Admission chances and advice
- Pick the pairing that matches your best science: Biology, Chemistry or Physics, or Mathematics if that is your strongest subject.
- Integrated Science leads straight into Basic Science teaching: it is a good choice if you want to teach in primary or junior secondary school.
- Register at the college’s IPRC or any CBT centre, and upload results early.
- Accept on CAPS within four weeks: unaccepted offers are withdrawn.
Studying Integrated Science at FCE Eha-Amufu
NCE Integrated Science covers the sciences together, the way Basic Science is taught in schools. You study it with your second subject, education courses and teaching practice. FCE Eha-Amufu’s own course outline was not available, so this follows the general NCE pattern.
What you study
- Integrated Science content: life science, matter and energy, earth and space science, environmental science and practicals.
- Second subject: Mathematics, Physics, Biology or Chemistry.
- Education courses: child development, curriculum, assessment and methods of teaching Basic Science.
- Teaching practice: a supervised school placement.
Accreditation
The NCCE list of accredited colleges shows Federal College of Education, Eha-Amufu (Isi-Uzo LGA, Enugu State) as a federal college with status “open”. The list does not show each combination’s accreditation, so the status of Integrated Science specifically is not confirmed. A bill to upgrade the college to a Federal University of Education has passed second reading in the House of Representatives (Voice of Nigeria); it remains a college of education for now.
Careers and next steps
- Teaching: the NCE is the minimum teaching qualification in Nigerian basic education, and Integrated Science graduates are trained for Basic Science classes.
- A degree: NCE holders can apply through JAMB Direct Entry for B.Ed or B.Sc.(Ed) Integrated Science or a related science education degree.
- Other work: science clubs, environmental education programmes and private tutoring.

Sources and updates
The UTME exemption, the 31 December 2026 deadline for colleges of education and the four-week CAPS acceptance window come from reports of the 11 May 2026 policy meeting by the News Agency of Nigeria, VON, ICIR and TheNigeriaLawyer. Registration steps and fees, the NCE-only entry rule and the end of affiliated degree admissions come from JAMB’s NCE/ND special registration flow (June 2026), also reported by Daily Trust (21 June 2026); JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin’s statement of 23 July 2026 is from Legit.ng. The 2025/2026 minimum of 100 is JAMB’s figure reported by Nairametrics (8 July 2025). College status is from the NCCE accredited colleges list; the upgrade bill is from Voice of Nigeria. The O’level wording, combination list, screening steps and acceptance fee are from blog reprints (o3schools, schoolings.org) and are unofficial.
