The Maduka University Transport Management cut-off mark is 150 in the UTME. Maduka University, Ekwegbe, set 150 as the minimum for all its undergraduate courses in 2026/2027, which is also JAMB’s national minimum for universities. It has not published a separate departmental cut-off for Transport Management.
2027/2028 update: Maduka University cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.
Transport Management is one of the less common degrees in the South East, and Maduka’s founder built his name in road transport. Two things set this course apart from Maduka’s other social science courses: its UTME subjects lean on Mathematics and Economics, and it was not among the seven programmes the NUC fully accredited in its 2025 exercise. Both are covered below, with a safe target score, screening, fees and careers.
Maduka University Transport Management cut-off mark 2027 at a glance
| Item | Position | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Maduka minimum UTME score (all courses) | 150 | Maduka 2026/2027 notice (Myschool reprint, 15 May 2026) |
| JAMB minimum for universities | 150 | Official (JAMB, 11 May 2026) |
| Transport Management departmental cut-off | Not published | No figure in any source |
| JAMB course name | Transport Management | Third-party copy of Maduka’s JAMB list |
| UTME subjects | Use of English, Mathematics, Economics and one other Social Science subject | JAMB brochure (Myschool reprint) |
| Post-UTME test | None described | Online application only, per reports |
| NUC accreditation result | Not confirmed | Not among the seven programmes in Maduka’s July 2026 release |
| 2026/2027 fee | ₦800,000 (tuition and accommodation) | Reported (The Vent Republic) |
Is Transport Management on Maduka’s JAMB list?
I checked the course against two lists. A third-party copy of Maduka’s JAMB course list on universitycourses.ng (last updated 1 March 2026) shows 18 courses, and it includes Transport Management. Myschool’s reprint of the JAMB list for Maduka would not open for me, so confirm the course under Maduka on your JAMB e-Facility profile before you register. Maduka’s 2026/2027 fee list also shows B.Sc. Transport Management under Business and Social Sciences. Teezab’s July 2026 list names the course “Transport, Logistics and Supply Chain Management” in the College of Management and Social Sciences. JAMB’s brochure has several transport entries (Transport Management, Transport and Logistics Management, Transport Planning and Management), so register the one that appears under Maduka on your e-Facility profile. On the evidence I have, that is Transport Management.
Maduka Transport Management cut-off history
| Session | Figure | What it is | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026/2027 | 150 | Maduka University minimum UTME score for all undergraduate courses | Maduka admission notice, reprinted by Myschool (15 May 2026) |
| 2026/2027 | 150 | JAMB national minimum for universities | Official (JAMB policy meeting, 11 May 2026) |
| 2025/2026 | 150 | Maduka minimum UTME score | Reported by AndroidPols (16 November 2025) |
| 2024/2025 to 2026/2027 | Not published | Separate departmental cut-off for Transport Management | No figure in any notice or report I found |
The figure has been 150 in both cycles that were reported. Transport Management usually draws fewer applicants than Accounting or Mass Communication, so an applicant who meets the subject rules and clears 150 is in a reasonable position. The subject rules are where most applications go wrong.
Safe target score for Transport Management at Maduka (my advice)
This is my judgement, not a Maduka rule.
| Your UTME score | My read for Maduka Transport Management |
|---|---|
| Below 150 | Not eligible for a 2026/2027 degree place; IJMB or a 2027 rewrite |
| 150 to 169 | Eligible; good O’level grades in Mathematics and Economics carry you |
| 170 and above | Comfortable for this course |
| 200 and above | Strong enough to compare offers from public universities too |
For the 2027 UTME I would aim for 170 or more, with credits (ideally B3 or better) in Mathematics, English and Economics.
UTME subject combination and O’level for Maduka Transport Management
| Requirement | Transport Management (JAMB brochure) |
|---|---|
| UTME subjects | Use of English, Mathematics, Economics and any other Social Science subject |
| O’level | Five credits including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two other relevant subjects |
| Direct Entry | Two A Level passes including Economics |
| Maduka remark in the brochure | None found |
This is a numbers course in JAMB’s eyes. Mathematics and Economics are both named in the UTME and in the O’level rule, so a candidate who wrote Literature, Government and CRS cannot use that result for Transport Management. A safe UTME set is Use of English, Mathematics, Economics and Geography or Government. Geography is a good fourth subject if you have it, since route planning and spatial analysis come up in the degree.
Direct Entry
Maduka accepts Direct Entry and transfer candidates, according to its 2026/2027 notice, and Teezab lists ND, HND, IJMB, JUPEB and A Level as accepted types. JAMB’s general DE rule for Transport Management is two A Level passes including Economics. Maduka has not published which ND fields it accepts here; an ND in a transport, logistics or business course is the obvious candidate, but get the answer in writing from the admissions office first.
How Maduka screens Transport Management applicants
Maduka has not published a Post-UTME test, an aggregate formula or screening dates for Transport Management, and none of the reports of its 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 admissions describes a written test. What the reports describe is an online application: you create a profile on the admissions portal, enter your UTME and O’level details, choose a programme, pay the ₦5,000 form fee and print your slip. The university then makes its decision and sends the offer through JAMB CAPS.
That means the things that decide your chances are the ones on your file: your UTME score, your O’level grades in the right subjects, and a clean CAPS profile with Maduka as your institution. If the university invites you for an interview or a test, the invitation will come from Maduka itself through the portal or its admission email.
Worked example
No aggregate formula has been published, so this example only compares each score with the 150 minimum and my 170 target. It is an illustration.
- Kelechi, 181 (English, Mathematics, Economics, Geography): 181 minus 150 = 31 above the minimum and 11 above my target. His subjects match JAMB’s rule. Strong applicant.
- Nneka, 155 (English, Mathematics, Economics, Government): 155 minus 150 = 5. She is eligible and her subjects fit. Her O’level credits in Mathematics and Economics will do most of the work.
- Uche, 188 (English, Literature, Government, CRS): a good score, but no Mathematics or Economics in his UTME. It does not meet JAMB’s rule for this course. Maduka University Mass Communication cut-off mark or Maduka University International Relations cut-off mark fit his subjects better.

How to apply for Transport Management at Maduka University
- Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN, then register at an accredited CBT centre.
- Register the right course: choose Transport Management with Use of English, Mathematics, Economics and one other Social Science subject, and make Maduka University your institution. If you chose another school, do a JAMB change of institution before you apply on Maduka’s portal.
- Upload your O’level to CAPS: at a JAMB office or accredited centre, have your WAEC, NECO or NABTEB result uploaded so the university can see it. If you are using two sittings, upload both.
- Apply on Maduka’s portal: the university’s July 2026 press release gives the admissions portal as admissions.madukauniversity.edu.ng. Create a profile, enter your UTME and O’level details, choose the course, pay ₦5,000 and print the slip.
- Watch CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS. Accept the offer there. An admission that does not appear on CAPS is not a valid admission.
- Pay acceptance and register: the reported acceptance fee is ₦50,000 and it is not refunded. Pay only through the portal or accounts the university gives you in writing, then print your JAMB admission letter for clearance.
JAMB set 30 November 2026 as the 2026/2027 admission deadline for private universities, according to the News Agency of Nigeria report of the 11 May 2026 policy meeting. Public universities had until 31 October 2026. If you are still waiting on a 2026/2027 Maduka offer, check CAPS before the end of November; our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status.
Studying Transport Management at Maduka University
Maduka University is a private university at Ekwegbe, on the Enugu to Nsukka road in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State. Its founder is Dr Samuel Maduka Onyishi, who also founded the Peace Mass Transit bus company. The university got its NUC licence in 2023 and started its first session in November 2023 with 611 students, according to Nairametrics and TheCable. It also runs IJMB, reported at ₦800,000 for two semesters in 2026/2027.
Transport Management is a B.Sc. in the business and social sciences unit. Four years is the usual length for UTME entrants; Maduka has not published its own figure, and its course outline was not available to me.
Accreditation
Maduka’s press release of 29 July 2026 lists seven programmes that the NUC fully accredited after its October to December 2025 exercise: Accounting, Mass Communication, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Economics and International Relations. Transport Management is not on that list. I found no NUC report page and no other accreditation result for it, so its status is not confirmed.
Maduka began teaching in November 2023, and the NUC usually accredits a new programme once its first students reach the later years, often in separate rounds for different courses. Still, before you pay, ask Maduka in writing whether Transport Management has been presented for NUC accreditation and when.
Before you pay
Ask the admissions office for the NUC approval or accreditation status of Transport Management in writing, and keep the reply. Unaccredited programmes can affect NYSC mobilisation and how employers read your degree.
What you study
- Foundations: economics, mathematics for management, introduction to transport and logistics, and principles of management.
- Core areas: transport economics, road, rail, sea and air transport operations, freight and logistics, and transport planning.
- Management and policy: fleet and terminal management, supply chain management, transport law and policy, and safety.
- Final year: research methods, a project and, in most programmes, a period of industrial attachment.
Careers
Graduates go into logistics and supply chain roles in manufacturing and retail, fleet and operations management with road transport companies, port and shipping work, aviation ground operations, and transport planning in government agencies. Professional membership, such as the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, helps with progression.

Mistakes that cost Transport Management applicants
- No Mathematics or Economics in the UTME: both are in JAMB’s rule for this course.
- The wrong transport course on JAMB: the brochure has several, so match the one under Maduka.
- A pass, not a credit, in Mathematics: the O’level rule needs a credit.
- Not asking about accreditation: Transport Management was not in the July 2026 NUC results.
- Skipping CAPS: accept on CAPS before paying acceptance.
