Radiography and Radiology is not on Peaceland University’s JAMB course list. Peaceland University, Enugu advertised a “B.Sc Radiography + Radiology” in its Faculty of Allied Health Sciences for 2026/2027, but when I checked Myschool’s reprint of its JAMB list on 30 October 2026, none of its 30 courses was Radiography under any name. Until the course appears under Peaceland on JAMB, you cannot choose it there in the UTME, and Peaceland cannot offer it to you on CAPS. If it is added, the only official minimum is JAMB’s 150 for universities; Peaceland has published no Radiography cut-off.
2027/2028 update: Peaceland University cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.
If Radiography is the course you want for 2027/2028, check the course dropdown under Peaceland University on JAMB’s registration portal before you register. If it is not there, choose a university where Radiography is already on the JAMB list. In Enugu State that includes ESUT, UNN and SUMAS. This page explains the gap, the cut-off, subjects, screening, the steps and what the profession requires.

Does Peaceland University offer Radiography?
Peaceland lists it, but the course is not yet in the JAMB system for Peaceland in the copy of the list I could check. Peaceland’s 2026/2027 advert, as summarised by Myschool, names eight Allied Health degrees. Seven of them are on its JAMB list (Nursing Science, Public Health, Medical Laboratory Science, Doctor of Physiotherapy, Environmental Health Science, Health Information Management and Community Health). Radiography and Radiology is the one that is missing.
Myschool reprints JAMB’s lists and can lag behind JAMB’s live e-brochure, and although Peaceland’s FAQ page lists “B.Rad Radiography & Radiation Science” and its fee schedule has a Radiography line, neither shows that the course is open through JAMB this session. As things stand, the programme is advertised but not confirmed as open through JAMB. Before paying any Peaceland fee for Radiography, get a written answer from the university to two questions: is the course on JAMB under Peaceland, and has the RRBN approved the programme?
- If Radiography appears under Peaceland on the JAMB portal: register it with the correct subjects and follow the steps below.
- If it does not: do not let anyone “process” Peaceland Radiography admission outside JAMB. JAMB says admissions outside CAPS are illegal.
- If you are offered another course with a promise of moving to Radiography later: ask for that promise in writing, and remember that a change of course also goes through JAMB.
Radiography cut-off history and safe target score
| Session | Figure | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| 2026/2027 | 150 | JAMB national minimum for universities. No Peaceland Radiography figure |
| 2025/2026 | 150 | JAMB national minimum for universities (July 2025). No Peaceland figure found |
Peaceland was founded in 2023 and grew out of Peaceland College of Education, Enugu, which still runs as a separate college. It has no record of departmental cut-offs. The table below is my advice for when Radiography is open to you at Peaceland, not a Peaceland rule.
| Your UTME score | My read for Radiography at Peaceland |
|---|---|
| Below 150 | Not eligible for any university degree |
| 150 to 179 | Eligible on paper. Weak for a health course, so keep a second choice |
| 180 to 199 | Reasonable with good science credits |
| 200 to 229 | Strong. You would also meet ESUT’s 200 minimum for Radiography |
| 230 and above | Very strong |
I would aim for 200 or more in the 2027 UTME. That score keeps ESUT open as well, and ESUT’s Radiography is on JAMB’s list now.
UTME subject combination and O’level for Radiography
With no Peaceland entry on JAMB, the general Radiography line in the JAMB brochure, as reproduced on Myschool, is the one to follow:
| Requirement | General Radiography entry (JAMB brochure) |
|---|---|
| UTME subjects | Use of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology |
| O’level | Five credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry |
| Direct Entry | Two A-level passes chosen from Physics, Chemistry and Biology |
| Special remarks | Only for UNILAG, ABU, UNICAL, UNIMAID, UNIZIK and UNN (UNN takes no Direct Entry). None for Peaceland |
Physics carries more weight in Radiography than in most health courses, because imaging is built on radiation physics. Candidates who swap Physics for Mathematics on the JAMB form lose the course. All five O’level subjects are compulsory, so a missing credit in any one of them rules you out.
How Peaceland would screen Radiography applicants
Peaceland has not published a Post-UTME test, screening date or aggregate formula for 2026/2027 in any source I reached. New private universities usually check UTME scores and O’level results online, sometimes with a short test or interview. Health programmes also tend to ask for a medical fitness report at clearance.
Worked example for a Radiography candidate (illustration only)
Peaceland has not published a screening formula. Many Nigerian universities combine the UTME score with O’level grades, so here is one common method, used only to show how your numbers could add up. It is not Peaceland’s rule.
- UTME part: UTME score divided by 8, out of 50.
- O’level part: five relevant subjects scored A1 = 10, B2 = 9, B3 = 8, C4 = 7, C5 = 6, C6 = 5, out of 50.
Somto scored 204 in the UTME and has B2 in English, B3 in Mathematics, A1 in Physics, B3 in Chemistry and B2 in Biology from one sitting.
- UTME part: 204 ÷ 8 = 25.50.
- O’level part: 44 out of 50.
- Illustrative total: 25.50 + 44 = 69.50 out of 100.
- Against the minimum: 204 minus 150 = 54. Somto clears JAMB’s line by 54 marks.
If Peaceland sets a test or an interview, that score would change the picture. What does not change is that the O’level carries real weight under most methods, so a C6 in Mathematics or Physics hurts more than a few UTME marks.
How to apply for Radiography, step by step
- Check JAMB’s course list first: on JAMB’s registration portal, select Peaceland University and look for Radiography. If it is not there, choose a university that lists it.
- Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the line linked to your NIN.
- Register with the right subjects: Use of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- Fix your choice if needed: use JAMB change of institution or change of course; the university cannot do it for you.
- Upload your O’level to CAPS: at a JAMB-accredited CBT centre. No university can recommend you without it.
- Apply on the university’s portal: Peaceland’s 2026/2027 advert pointed to apply.peacelanduni.edu.ng. The university’s fee schedule lists the admission form at ₦20,000; follow the instructions shown there.
- Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status.
- Pay acceptance and fees only through official channels: Peaceland’s fee schedule lists acceptance at ₦20,000 and ₦815,000 a session for its Medical Laboratory Science, Physiotherapy and Radiography group, with tuition payable 60% and then 40%.
Warning
Adverts that sell Peaceland University forms or “admission slots” through private phone numbers and agents circulate online. JAMB says any admission outside CAPS is illegal, so a genuine Peaceland offer will show on your CAPS page. Apply only through the university’s own portal and pay only into accounts the university confirms in writing.
JAMB set 30 November 2026 as the 2026/2027 admission deadline for private universities, the News Agency of Nigeria reported on 11 May 2026. For a 2027 attempt, read our guides to the JAMB Biology syllabus and JAMB Chemistry syllabus.
Studying Radiography and becoming a radiographer
A radiography degree in Nigeria usually runs for five years. Students take basic sciences and anatomy and physiology first, then radiation physics, imaging technology, radiographic techniques, radiation protection, ultrasound, CT and MRI, and supervised clinical postings in hospital imaging departments. Peaceland has not published its curriculum.
To practise, graduates register with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN), which also approves training programmes. I found no RRBN record for Peaceland, and no NUC accreditation report that names Peaceland University for Radiography (the NUC reports under the Peaceland name belong to Peaceland College of Education). For a professional course, that approval decides whether you can be registered after graduation, so ask Peaceland for written proof before accepting.
- Careers: diagnostic radiographer in hospitals and imaging centres, sonography, CT and MRI work, radiotherapy (with further training), equipment applications roles and teaching.
Radiography where it is on JAMB’s list in Enugu State
| University | 2026/2027 minimum | Our guide |
|---|---|---|
| ESUT, Agbani (state) | 200 | ESUT Radiography |
| UNN, Nsukka (federal) | 160 to apply for screening; no Direct Entry | UNN Radiography |
| SUMAS, Igbo-Eno (state) | 150 | SUMAS Radiography and Radiation Science |
Allied Health courses that are on Peaceland’s JAMB list
- Peaceland University Medical Laboratory Science
- Peaceland University Physiotherapy (Doctor of Physiotherapy)
- Peaceland University Nursing Science
- Peaceland University Public Health
Each of these has its own regulator, so check that approval too. None of them leads to registration as a radiographer.
Mistakes Radiography applicants make
- Trusting an advert over the JAMB list: a course you cannot select on JAMB cannot be offered on CAPS.
- Dropping Physics: the UTME and O’level lines both require it.
- Ignoring the RRBN: without an approved programme, registration after graduation can be a problem.
- Paying for admission outside CAPS: JAMB treats it as illegal.
- Accepting on CAPS and stopping: acceptance fee and clearance are separate steps.
