Peaceland University Environmental Health Science Cut-Off Mark and Admission Requirements 2027/2028

Peaceland University has not published an Environmental Health Science cut-off, so JAMB’s 150 is the official minimum. See the exact JAMB course name, subjects, O’level and DE rules, safe target score and application steps.

The Peaceland University Environmental Health Science cut off mark is 150 in the UTME. That is JAMB’s 2026 minimum for all universities, and Peaceland University, Enugu has not published any higher figure for Environmental Health Science. You qualify to be considered with 150 or above, Peaceland as your choice, the correct UTME subjects and five O’level credits in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

2027/2028 update: Peaceland University cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

The course is on JAMB’s Peaceland list as Environmental Health Science, and the university’s 2026/2027 advert calls it “B. EHS Environmental Health Sciences” under the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. Note the small difference: JAMB uses the singular “Science”, so pick exactly that name on your profile. Below are the official figures, my safe target score, the subject rules, the steps to apply and what I could find about accreditation.

Has Peaceland published a cut-off for Environmental Health?

No. At JAMB’s policy meeting each institution declared its own minimum, and News Central TV’s list of those 2026 figures does not include Peaceland. The university’s 2026/2027 advert lists its programmes and points to the portal with no scores. I found nothing for 2025/2026 either; a June 2025 blog post only said the form was out.

So 150 is the figure you can rely on. Whether 150 gets you in depends on demand and on the number of places the NUC lets the department fill. At Peaceland’s second matriculation, its Pro-Chancellor said NUC quotas were already forcing the university to turn away qualified candidates (TheCable).

Safe target score for Environmental Health Science (my advice)

In my experience, Environmental Health Science draws fewer applicants than Nursing or Medical Laboratory Science, which helps you. These bands are my advice and not a Peaceland rule.

Your UTME scoreMy read for Peaceland EHS
Below 150Not eligible
150 to 164Eligible; strong O’level grades and early application help
165 to 184Fair chance
185 to 209Good chance
210 and aboveVery safe for this course

For the 2027 UTME I would aim for 185 or more. If you are above 210, compare it with Public Health and Medical Laboratory Science before you settle, so your choice is deliberate.

Environmental Health Science admission requirements at Peaceland

RequirementEnvironmental Health Science
UTME subjectsUse of English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (no Mathematics option in JAMB’s brochure)
O’levelFive credits: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology
Exam bodiesWAEC, NECO or NABTEB (JAMB’s general rule)
SittingsPeaceland has not said; one sitting is safest
Direct Entry option 1Two A level passes from Biology or Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, with O’level Mathematics, Physics and English
Direct Entry option 2NRN (Registered Nurse) or equivalent, with five O’level credits including English and four sciences
Peaceland remark in the brochureNone; the only remark on the entry is for FUTO

Some sites still print “Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics” for this course. JAMB’s brochure says Physics. If you write Mathematics instead, your combination will not match the course. The Direct Entry rules above are JAMB’s general ones; Peaceland has not published its own.

Screening at Peaceland and a worked example

Peaceland has not released a Post-UTME notice with a test date, fee or scoring formula for 2026/2027. Admissions run through its online portal and were described as ongoing from April 2026. JAMB set 30 November 2026 as the private university deadline for 2026/2027, and the News Agency of Nigeria reported that admissions outside CAPS are illegal.

Worked example (illustrative)

With no published formula, I can only show the gap between a score, the minimum and my target. This is not Peaceland’s ranking method.

Uchenna scored 172. His WAEC has C6 in English, C5 in Mathematics, C4 in Physics, B3 in Chemistry and C4 in Biology, all from one sitting.

  1. Minimum: 172 minus 150 = 22 marks clear.
  2. Target: 185 minus 172 = 13 marks short of my “good chance” band, so he is in “fair chance”.
  3. O’level: all five credits are there. C6 is the lowest credit grade, so his English still counts.
  4. My advice: apply in the first batch, have O’level on CAPS before he applies, and answer any screening invitation quickly.

Adaeze scored 158 with an E8 in Chemistry. She clears 150 but is missing a required credit, so she would need to rewrite Chemistry before this course is open to her.

Steps to apply for Environmental Health Science

  1. Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN. JAMB replies with the profile code you take to the registration centre.
  2. Register the UTME with the right course name: pick Peaceland University and the course listed as Environmental Health Science, with Use of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Make Peaceland your first choice. If it was not, do a JAMB change of institution before the university starts admitting.
  3. Upload your O’level to CAPS: visit a JAMB-accredited centre and have your WAEC, NECO or NABTEB result uploaded. A private university cannot recommend you on CAPS without it.
  4. Apply on the Peaceland portal: the 2026/2027 advert pointed candidates to the university’s application portal (apply.peacelanduni.edu.ng, “Enroll Now”). Fill the form with the same names, JAMB number and course you used at JAMB, and keep every receipt.
  5. Do the screening: Peaceland has not published its screening format. Prepare for a document check at least, and possibly a test or interview. I would take your UTME result slip, O’level results, birth certificate or age declaration, LGA identification and passport photographs.
  6. Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, choose Check Admission Status and open Access my CAPS. Accept the offer there. JAMB gives four weeks to accept or reject, according to its 2026 policy meeting.
  7. Pay acceptance and clear: Peaceland’s fee schedule lists acceptance at ₦10,000 and a total of ₦250,000 at 100 level for 2026/2027, plus an optional ₦130,000 for hostel, with tuition payable 60% and then 40%. Pay only through the official portal or the Admissions Office.

Warning

Peaceland College of Education, Enugu and Peaceland University are separate institutions. Make sure your portal, receipts and CAPS offer name Peaceland University, and pay only through the university’s own portal or account. Every genuine offer shows on JAMB CAPS.

About Environmental Health Science at Peaceland University

Peaceland was founded in 2023 and grew out of Peaceland College of Education. Its 2026/2027 advert puts Environmental Health Sciences in the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences with seven other health courses. The university has not published the course outline or duration; most Nigerian B.Sc. Environmental Health Science programmes take four years, so confirm Peaceland’s on the portal.

Accreditation and professional registration

  • NUC: Environmental Health Science is not among the 17 programmes Peaceland announced as fully accredited after NUC’s October/November 2025 exercise (reported by Uniblog NG on 23 April 2026), and I found no NUC report naming Peaceland University for it. Status: not confirmed.
  • EHORECON: the Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria registers environmental health officers. I found no record of it approving Peaceland’s programme. Status: not confirmed.
  • Name confusion: NUC reports that mention “Peaceland” (Chemistry Education and Physics Education, FULL, November 2024) are for Peaceland College of Education’s degrees under Abia State University.
  • What to ask: whether the programme has NUC approval, when its first accreditation visit is due, and whether graduates will be able to register with EHORECON.

If you prefer a degree with an announced result, Clifford University in Owerrinta reported NUC full accreditation for its Environmental Health Science after the 2022 exercise; see our Clifford University Environmental Health Science guide. For a diploma route in Enugu, see Oji River College of Health Technology Environmental Health.

What you study and the jobs that follow

  • Science base: biology, chemistry and physics, then microbiology, parasitology and toxicology.
  • Environmental health core: water supply and sanitation, waste management, food hygiene and inspection, vector and pest control, housing and occupational health, and environmental pollution.
  • Practice: field inspections, laboratory work and a final-year project.
  • Careers: environmental health officer in local government or state ministries, food and water safety inspection, port health, industrial health and safety, and NGO sanitation projects.

For revision, start with the JAMB Biology syllabus and JAMB Chemistry syllabus.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Picking a different course name: choose “Environmental Health Science” on JAMB, not Environmental Management or Environmental Science.
  • Mathematics instead of Physics in the UTME: it breaks the combination.
  • Assuming 150 means automatic admission: it only makes you eligible.
  • Skipping the CAPS upload: no upload, no recommendation.
  • Not checking accreditation: ask before you pay tuition.
