CCU Digital Entrepreneurship Cut-Off Mark 2027/2028 & Admission Requirements

CCU’s Digital Entrepreneurship cut-off is JAMB’s 150, but the course is missing from CCU’s own programme lists and NUC’s results. See what JAMB lists, the subjects to check, what to ask CCU and the closest alternatives.

The CCU Digital Entrepreneurship cut-off mark is 150 in the UTME, the national minimum JAMB set for universities in 2026/2027. Coal City University, Enugu has not published a figure for Digital Entrepreneurship, and nothing CCU publishes shows that it runs the course. It is on JAMB’s course list for CCU, but it is missing from CCU’s own list of degree programmes and from the NUC’s accreditation results.

2027/2028 update: CCU cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

So treat this as a course to confirm before you register. Below I set out where it appears and where it does not, the subject combination JAMB uses for entrepreneurship degrees, the questions to put to CCU, and the CCU courses that come closest if Digital Entrepreneurship is not admitting.

Is Digital Entrepreneurship running at Coal City University?

Source (checked 30 October 2026)Is Digital Entrepreneurship listed?
JAMB’s course list for CCU (Myschool reprint)Yes, as “Digital Entrepreneurship”, next to a separate “Entrepreneurship” entry
CCU Faculty of Arts, Social and Management Sciences page (last updated 31 August 2023)No. Fifteen degrees are named and this is not one
CCU Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences pageNo. It names Microbiology, Biochemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science
CCU “About CCU” pageNo
CCU 2026/2027 advert (Myschool reprint, 18 May 2026)Not among the eight science degrees shown; the Arts, Social and Management Sciences list is cut off
NUC Accreditation Results 1990 to 2025 (September 2026)No entry for CCU

JAMB listing CCU for both Entrepreneurship and Digital Entrepreneurship could mean two separate approvals, a renamed programme, or a course CCU registered but has not started. I cannot tell which from public sources. Do not register it until CCU confirms it is admitting Digital Entrepreneurship students for 2027/2028 and tells you which faculty runs it.

Safe target score (my advice)

My advice, not a CCU rule. Because the course status is uncertain, your score has to work for your fallback courses too.

Your UTME scoreMy read
Below 150Not eligible for any university this session
150 to 169Meets CCU’s floor; fine for Business Administration or Marketing at CCU
170 to 189Comfortable for any management course at CCU
190 and aboveAlso competitive for Computer Science at CCU if your science subjects fit

I would aim for 170 or more, and higher if Computer Science is your backup, since it is the most requested science course at most private universities.

UTME subject combination and O’level for Digital Entrepreneurship

Myschool’s reprint of the JAMB brochure page for Digital Entrepreneurship shows headings with no requirements under them, so I could not verify the official combination. Check the course on JAMB’s e-brochure when you register. Until then, the closest verified guide is JAMB’s entry for Entrepreneurship, which CCU also carries:

RequirementJAMB’s Entrepreneurship entry (closest guide)
UTME subjectsUse of English, Economics, Mathematics and one other Social Science or Commercial subject
O’levelFive credits including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, one Science subject and one other Social Science or Commercial subject
Direct EntryTwo A-level passes including Economics and at least one of Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Mathematics
JAMB course name for CCUDigital Entrepreneurship (Coal City University)

Some universities run digital entrepreneurship from a computing faculty and ask for science subjects instead. That is why the e-brochure check matters: if the official entry asks for Physics, a commercial-class student would fail the UTME rule. English, Mathematics and Economics plus a science credit in O’level keep you safe under either reading.

How CCU screening works

DetailWhat is known
Admission advertCCU invited applications into its undergraduate programmes for 2026/2027 (Myschool reprint, 18 May 2026). Digital Entrepreneurship is not among the science degrees in the reprint, and the other faculty’s list is cut off.
Application portalportal.ccu.edu.ng (the “Apply Now” link on ccu.edu.ng)
Form fee₦2,000 according to AbsTechConnect (25 May 2026); CCU has not confirmed it in any source I could open
Screening date and formatNot published
Aggregate formulaNot published
Other routesCCU also advertises JUPEB, IJMB and pre-degree forms for 2026/2027
2026/2027 deadline for private universities30 November 2026 (JAMB, reported by NAN on 11 May 2026)

Worked example

CCU has published no aggregate formula, so this example only measures margins.

Take Chiamaka, who scored 183 with B2 in English, B3 in Mathematics, C4 in Economics, C4 in Physics and C5 in Commerce in one WAEC sitting.

  1. Eligibility: 183 minus 150 = 33 marks above the national minimum.
  2. Against my safe target: 183 minus 170 = 13 marks above it.
  3. O’level check: English, Mathematics, Economics, a science (Physics) and a commercial subject (Commerce). That satisfies the Entrepreneurship rule above.
  4. Course status: she confirms with CCU before registering. If Digital Entrepreneurship is not running, Business Administration at CCU fits her UTME subjects; for Computer Science she would need Physics in the UTME too.

Admission odds and practical advice

  • Confirm before registering: fixing a wrong course later needs a JAMB change of course.
  • Look at the portal course list: if CCU’s application form for 2027/2028 does not offer Digital Entrepreneurship, it is not admitting.
  • Pick a fallback with the same subjects: Business Administration and Marketing at CCU take Economics and Mathematics.
  • Make CCU your first choice once confirmed: use a JAMB change of institution if needed.
  • Mind the deadline: JAMB set 30 November 2026 as the 2026/2027 deadline for private universities.

How to apply, step by step

  1. Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN.
  2. Confirm the course first: ask CCU whether Digital Entrepreneurship is admitting for 2027/2028 and which faculty runs it, then check the subject combination on JAMB’s e-brochure.
  3. Register the UTME correctly: choose Coal City University and the course “Digital Entrepreneurship”, with Use of English, Mathematics, Economics and the fourth subject the e-brochure names.
  4. Upload your O’level to CAPS: do it at a JAMB-accredited centre as soon as your result is out. CCU cannot recommend you for admission without it.
  5. Apply on the CCU portal: open portal.ccu.edu.ng, fill the undergraduate form, pay the fee the portal shows and print your slip.
  6. Watch for screening: CCU has not published a screening date or format, so check the portal and ccu.edu.ng after you apply.
  7. Accept on CAPS: log in to efacility.jamb.gov.ng, choose Check Admission Status and then Access my CAPS. JAMB gives four weeks to accept an offer. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status.
  8. Pay acceptance and clear: CCU has not published its acceptance or tuition fees in any source I could open, so pay only what your portal invoice shows, into the university’s account.

Warning

Forum and classified-site posts sell “CCU admission forms” and list private phone numbers. Apply only through portal.ccu.edu.ng, never pay an individual for a “slot”, and remember that every genuine offer must show on your JAMB CAPS page.

What a Digital Entrepreneurship degree covers

Accreditation

There is no Digital Entrepreneurship entry under Coal City University in the NUC’s Accreditation Results 1990 to 2025, and I found no NUC report page for it. The status is not confirmed.

What you study

CCU has published no outline. Digital entrepreneurship degrees in Nigeria generally mix business and technology over four years:

  • Business side: entrepreneurship, accounting, economics, marketing, business finance and business law.
  • Digital side: e-commerce, digital marketing, web and app basics, data analysis and online platforms.
  • Practical work: an industrial placement (SIWES) and a final project, usually a digital business plan or prototype.

Careers

Graduates start online businesses, or work in digital marketing, e-commerce operations, product and growth roles, fintech and startup support. A portfolio counts for a lot here: a store, an app or a client list built during your degree is the strongest thing you can show an employer.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Assuming JAMB’s list proves the course runs: confirm with CCU.
  • Copying a subject combination from a blog: check JAMB’s e-brochure for Digital Entrepreneurship itself.
  • No science credit in O’level: add one if you can; it protects you under either version of the rule.
  • O’level not on CAPS: CCU cannot recommend you without it.
  • Paying agents: apply only on CCU’s portal.

Sources and updates

The 150 national minimum, the 30 November 2026 deadline for private universities and the four-week CAPS acceptance window come from JAMB’s 2026 policy meeting as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria on 11 May 2026; the 2025 figure is from Nairametrics (8 July 2025). CCU’s absence from the declared list is based on News Central’s list of 2026 university cut-offs (11 May 2026). The JAMB course name comes from Myschool’s reprint of JAMB’s CCU course list, checked on 30 October 2026; the Digital Entrepreneurship brochure page showed no requirements, so the subject rules shown are JAMB’s Entrepreneurship entry. CCU’s programme lists are from its Faculty of Arts, Social and Management Sciences page (last updated 31 August 2023), its Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences page and About page. Accreditation was checked against NUC’s Accreditation Results 1990 to 2025 (September 2026). The 2026/2027 advert is Myschool’s reprint (18 May 2026) and the form fee is from AbsTechConnect (25 May 2026), which is unofficial. Checked on 30 October 2026; this page will be updated if CCU confirms the course.
