Fed Poly Mubi Office Technology and Management Cut-Off Mark 2027/2028

The Fed Poly Mubi cut off mark for Office Technology and Management is 100 in the UTME, which is JAMB’s national minimum for polytechnics for 2026/2027. The Federal Polytechnic, Mubi has not published a separate cut-off for ND Office Technology and Management, and I found no departmental figure for earlier years either.

2027/2028 update: Fed Poly Mubi cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They are based on JAMB’s 2026 national minimum for polytechnics, because Fed Poly Mubi has not published its own course cut-offs. If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

JAMB’s brochure has a remark written for Fed Poly Mubi on this course, and it cuts both ways: it relaxes the Mathematics rule but removes Christian or Islamic Religious Studies as an option. Clearing 100 only makes you eligible. This page covers the figures, that remark, the subjects, screening and the CAPS steps.

Check first: Office Technology and Management is on JAMB’s course list for Fed Poly Mubi, and the polytechnic has an HND in it according to a blog list, but it was not among the six business courses in the 2026/2027 notice reprinted by Myschool. It may sit in another school whose list is cut off in the reprint, or it may not have been advertised. Confirm with the admissions office that ND Office Technology and Management is admitting before you choose it.

Fed Poly Mubi cut off mark for Office Technology and Management at a glance

Do not mix this school up with the Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi (FUAM). They are two separate federal institutions in the same town. The polytechnic awards the ND and HND and uses the 100 polytechnic minimum; the university awards degrees and follows the 150 university minimum. On your JAMB profile, Fed Poly Mubi is listed as Federal Polytechnic, Mubi (MUBIPOLY on the Myschool reprint of JAMB’s course list).

Fed Poly Mubi Office Technology and Management cut-off history

JAMB kept the polytechnic minimum at 100 in both 2025 and 2026. Fed Poly Mubi may admit above that line for some courses, but it has not announced a figure for Office Technology and Management. If a website quotes an exact “Fed Poly Mubi Office Technology and Management cut-off” such as 140 or 160, ask where it came from.

Safe target score for Office Technology and Management at Fed Poly Mubi (my advice)

This table is my judgement as an admissions adviser. It is not a Fed Poly Mubi rule, and the polytechnic has not published merit lists with scores.

For the 2027 UTME I would aim for at least 135, with credits in English and two business subjects.

Catchment and state of origin

Fed Poly Mubi is a federal polytechnic in Adamawa State, but it has not published a catchment list or a quota split for 2026/2027. It admits candidates from across Nigeria. I would not count on a state-of-origin advantage unless the polytechnic’s own notice mentions one.

Fed Poly Mubi Office Technology and Management subject combination and O’level requirements

The general UTME line lets you pick any three of seven subjects, including CRS/IRS. Fed Poly Mubi’s remark removes CRS/IRS for this polytechnic, at UTME and at O’level. If you register English, CRS, Economics and Commerce, you meet the general rule but not Fed Poly Mubi’s rule. My pick would be English, Economics, Commerce and Mathematics or Government.

The other half of the remark is helpful: a pass in Mathematics is accepted at O’level instead of a credit. You still need a credit in English Language and four other credits from the list, not counting CRS/IRS.

Direct Entry and the HND route

There is no Direct Entry into the first year of an ND. ND Office Technology and Management admission goes through the UTME and CAPS. After the ND and industrial attachment, you can apply for an HND. Office Technology Management is on the blog list of Fed Poly Mubi HND courses.

How Fed Poly Mubi screening works

Fed Poly Mubi has not put its 2026/2027 screening details in any source I could reach. Its website at fpmubieportal.edu.ng has an Admission Portal link, and two reprints of the session’s notices exist, but neither gives a fee, a date or a test format. Here is what is known.

Because the polytechnic has not said how it ranks applicants, the safest plan is a UTME score well above 100 and a clean O’level record on CAPS.

Worked example for an ND Office Technology and Management applicant

Fed Poly Mubi has not published an aggregate formula, so start by measuring the gap between your score, the 100 minimum and a safe target. Take Rebecca, who scored 124.

1. Eligibility: 124 minus 100 = 24. Rebecca is above JAMB’s minimum for polytechnics.
2. Against my safe target: Rebecca is 11 points below my 135 target, so a strong screening performance and clean O’level results matter more.
3. Subject check: she wrote Economics, Commerce and Government with English. No CRS/IRS, so she meets the Mubi remark.
4. O’level check: credits in English, Economics, Commerce, Government and Office Practice, with a pass in Mathematics, uploaded to CAPS.

Many Nigerian polytechnics rank candidates by a mix of UTME score and screening score. To show how such a mix works, take the UTME score divided by 8 (out of 50) plus a screening score out of 50. Rebecca’s 124 gives 15.5, and a screening score of 30 out of 50 would give 45.5 out of 100. A candidate with 110 and the same screening score would have 43.75. This formula is an illustration only. Fed Poly Mubi has not published one.

Your chances of getting Office Technology and Management at Fed Poly Mubi

• OTM is usually less crowded than Accountancy or Business Administration, so a score in the 120s or 130s can be enough in my view, if the course is admitting.
• The Mubi remark helps candidates with a Mathematics pass but shuts out those who relied on CRS/IRS.
• Because the course was not in the 2026/2027 business list, confirm it is admitting before you build your plan around it.
• Polytechnics usually keep admitting until JAMB’s deadline. For the 2026/2027 session JAMB set 31 December 2026 for polytechnics, so keep checking CAPS until then.

If OTM is not admitting, Business Administration and Management or Cooperative Economics and Management are the nearest options in the business school.

How to apply for Office Technology and Management at Fed Poly Mubi, step by step

1. Get your JAMB profile code: text NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN.
2. Register the UTME correctly: choose Office Technology and Management and register Use of English and any three of Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, History/Government, Geography, CRS/IRS and Principles of Accounts. For Fed Poly Mubi, leave out CRS/IRS (see the remark).. Pick Federal Polytechnic, Mubi, not the Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi.
3. Fix your choice if needed: if Fed Poly Mubi was not your choice, do a JAMB change of institution before screening. To move into this course from another one, see JAMB change of course.
4. Upload your O’level to CAPS: do this at a JAMB accredited centre. JAMB cannot offer you admission while CAPS shows no O’level result.
5. Fill the screening form: open the Admission Portal link on fpmubieportal.edu.ng, pay only through the invoice the portal generates, complete the form and print every slip it gives you.
6. Attend screening if called: take your UTME result slip, O’level results and the portal printouts.
7. Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS, and accept the offer. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status.
8. Pay acceptance and clear: Fed Poly Mubi has not published its acceptance fee in any official source I reached. Pay only through a portal invoice in your name, then complete clearance.

Studying Office Technology and Management at Fed Poly Mubi

ND Office Technology and Management (OTM) replaced the older Secretarial Studies course in Nigerian polytechnics. It trains office professionals who handle records, correspondence, office software and front-office work.

Duration and accreditation

Under the standard NBTE structure, the ND runs for two years full time. Students who want the HND then do a one-year industrial attachment (SIWES or IT) before applying, and the HND usually asks for an ND at Lower Credit or above. Fed Poly Mubi has not published a course timetable, so treat this as the national pattern.

Fed Poly Mubi is a federal polytechnic regulated by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). I could not confirm the current NBTE accreditation status of ND Office Technology and Management itself. Ask the department, or check the NBTE’s list of accredited programmes, before you pay school fees.

Mistakes that cost Office Technology and Management applicants a place at Fed Poly Mubi

• Treating 100 as a safe score: it is the minimum to apply, not a promise of admission.
• Using CRS or IRS as a UTME subject: the Mubi remark rejects it for this course.
• Assuming the course is in this year’s advert: it was not in the visible business list. Ask first.
• Choosing the wrong Mubi institution: the polytechnic and the Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi are separate choices on JAMB.
• O’level missing on CAPS: JAMB cannot process your admission without it.
• Accepting on CAPS and stopping there: acceptance fee payment and clearance at the polytechnic are separate steps.

Fed Poly Mubi Office Technology and Management cut-off: frequently asked questions

Can I use CRS for Office Technology and Management at Fed Poly Mubi? No. JAMB’s brochure remark for Fed Poly Mubi says it does not accept CRS/IS as a UTME subject or as an O’level requirement for this course.

Can I study OTM at Fed Poly Mubi with a pass in Mathematics? Yes. The same remark says Fed Poly Mubi accepts an O’level pass in Mathematics for this course.

Is Mathematics compulsory in JAMB for OTM at Fed Poly Mubi? No. The UTME line is any three of Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, History/Government, Geography and Principles of Accounts (CRS/IRS excluded at Mubi).

Is OTM still offered at Fed Poly Mubi? It is on JAMB’s list and on the blog HND list, but it was not among the business courses in the 2026/2027 notice reprint. Confirm with the polytechnic.
