Fed Poly Mubi Leisure and Tourism Management Cut-Off Mark 2027/2028

The Fed Poly Mubi Leisure and Tourism Management cut off mark is JAMB’s 100 for polytechnics. The brochure’s UTME line for this course is unusual, so check it here with the O’level rules, status and CAPS steps.

The Fed Poly Mubi cut off mark for Leisure and Tourism Management is 100 in the UTME, which is JAMB’s national minimum for polytechnics for 2026/2027. The Federal Polytechnic, Mubi has not published a separate cut-off for ND Leisure and Tourism Management, and I found no departmental figure for earlier years either.

2027/2028 update: Fed Poly Mubi cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They are based on JAMB’s 2026 national minimum for polytechnics, because Fed Poly Mubi has not published its own course cut-offs. If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

JAMB lists this course for Fed Poly Mubi as “Leisure And Tourism management” and also as “Tourism Management Technology”. The Leisure and Tourism page has an unusual UTME line, and the Tourism Management Technology page is blank. Clearing 100 only makes you eligible. It is on JAMB’s course list for Fed Poly Mubi, but it was not in the visible part of the 2026/2027 notice reprint, which is cut off early in the engineering list, before most other courses appear. Confirm with the admissions office that it is admitting. This page covers what the brochure says, the O’level rules and CAPS.

Do not mix this school up with the Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi (FUAM). They are two separate federal institutions in the same town. The polytechnic awards the ND and HND and uses the 100 polytechnic minimum; the university awards degrees and follows the 150 university minimum. On your JAMB profile, Fed Poly Mubi is listed as Federal Polytechnic, Mubi (MUBIPOLY on the Myschool reprint of JAMB’s course list).

JAMB kept the polytechnic minimum at 100 in both 2025 and 2026. Fed Poly Mubi may admit above that line for some courses, but it has not announced a figure for Leisure and Tourism Management. If a website quotes an exact “Fed Poly Mubi Leisure and Tourism Management cut-off” such as 140 or 160, ask where it came from.

Safe target score for Leisure and Tourism Management at Fed Poly Mubi (my advice)

This table is my judgement as an admissions adviser. It is not a Fed Poly Mubi rule, and the polytechnic has not published merit lists with scores.

Your UTME scoreMy read for ND Leisure and Tourism Management at Fed Poly Mubi
Below 100Not eligible for any ND course this session
100 to 119Eligible. For a smaller course this may be enough, but no admission data has been published to prove it
120 to 139Reasonable
140 and aboveStrong for this course, in my view

For the 2027 UTME I would aim for at least 130, with credits in English, Mathematics, Geography and one science.

Catchment and state of origin

Fed Poly Mubi is a federal polytechnic in Adamawa State, but it has not published a catchment list or a quota split for 2026/2027. It admits candidates from across Nigeria. I would not count on a state-of-origin advantage unless the polytechnic’s own notice mentions one.

Fed Poly Mubi Leisure and Tourism Management subject combination and O’level requirements

RequirementND Leisure and Tourism Management
UTME subjectsUse of English, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics, as printed on the reprint
O’levelFive credits in English Language, Geography, a basic science and two of Economics/Commerce, History, Book Keeping/Principles of Accounting, Mathematics, Fine Arts, French, Government, Food and Nutrition, Nigerian Language, Home Economics. A credit in Mathematics is compulsory.
Fed Poly Mubi remark in the brochureNone on the Leisure and Tourism page; the Tourism Management Technology page is blank. Remarks cover polytechnics such as KAD-POLY, FEDPO-BAU and YABATECH.
Exams acceptedWAEC, NECO, NABTEB and GCE are the usual ones; Fed Poly Mubi has not published its own list for this course
SittingsNot stated by Fed Poly Mubi; two sittings is the common polytechnic limit
Interview or practicalNone published

The printed UTME line is Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. That reads like an engineering line, and it does not match the O’level rule, which is built around Geography and business or arts subjects. It may be a data error in JAMB’s brochure or in the reprint. Because there is no Fed Poly Mubi remark, the printed line is what applies on paper.

My advice: open JAMB’s e-brochure, search for Leisure and Tourism Management under polytechnics, and check the Fed Poly Mubi line before registering. If it still says Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics, register those with English. At O’level, get credits in English, Mathematics, Geography and one science.

Direct Entry and the HND route

There is no Direct Entry into the first year of an ND. ND Leisure and Tourism Management admission goes through the UTME and CAPS. After the ND and industrial attachment, you can apply for an HND. Tourism is not on the blog list of Fed Poly Mubi HND courses I found; HND Hospitality Management is, and it is the nearest option. Ask the department.

For details of the HND form, see our Fed Poly Mubi HND admission requirements guide. The HND course list there comes from a blog, so check it on the portal.

How Fed Poly Mubi screening works

Fed Poly Mubi has not put its 2026/2027 screening details in any source I could reach. Its website at fpmubieportal.edu.ng has an Admission Portal link, and two reprints of the session’s notices exist, but neither gives a fee, a date or a test format. Here is what is known.

Because the polytechnic has not said how it ranks applicants, the safest plan is a UTME score well above 100 and a clean O’level record on CAPS.

Worked example for an ND Leisure and Tourism Management applicant

Fed Poly Mubi has not published an aggregate formula, so start by measuring the gap between your score, the 100 minimum and a safe target. Take Patience, who scored 126.

  1. Eligibility: 126 minus 100 = 26. Patience is above JAMB’s minimum for polytechnics.
  2. Against my safe target: Patience is 4 points below my 130 target, so a strong screening performance and clean O’level results matter more.
  3. Subject check: she checked the e-brochure, found the same printed line, and wrote Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics with English.
  4. O’level check: credits in English, Mathematics, Geography, Biology and Economics, uploaded to CAPS.

Many Nigerian polytechnics rank candidates by a mix of UTME score and screening score. To show how such a mix works, take the UTME score divided by 8 (out of 50) plus a screening score out of 50. Patience’s 126 gives 15.75, and a screening score of 30 out of 50 would give 45.75 out of 100. A candidate with 110 and the same screening score would have 43.75. This formula is an illustration only. Fed Poly Mubi has not published one.

Your chances of getting Leisure and Tourism Management at Fed Poly Mubi

  • In my view tourism draws few applicants, so a score in the 120s or 130s can be competitive if the course is admitting.
  • The unusual UTME line is the main risk. A candidate who registers Geography and Economics may not meet the printed rule.
  • Confirm the course is admitting, since it was not in the visible part of the 2026/2027 notice.
  • Polytechnics usually keep admitting until JAMB’s deadline. For the 2026/2027 session JAMB set 31 December 2026 for polytechnics, so keep checking CAPS until then.

If you are offered Hospitality Management instead, it covers hotels and catering, which overlap heavily with tourism, and it has an HND at Fed Poly Mubi on the blog list.

How to apply for Leisure and Tourism Management at Fed Poly Mubi, step by step

  1. Get your JAMB profile code: text NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN.
  2. Register the UTME correctly: choose Leisure and Tourism Management and register Use of English, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics, as printed on the reprint. Pick Federal Polytechnic, Mubi, not the Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi.
  3. Fix your choice if needed: if Fed Poly Mubi was not your choice, do a JAMB change of institution before screening. To move into this course from another one, see JAMB change of course.
  4. Upload your O’level to CAPS: do this at a JAMB accredited centre. JAMB cannot offer you admission while CAPS shows no O’level result.
  5. Fill the screening form: open the Admission Portal link on fpmubieportal.edu.ng, pay only through the invoice the portal generates, complete the form and print every slip it gives you.
  6. Attend screening if called: take your UTME result slip, O’level results and the portal printouts.
  7. Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS, and accept the offer. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status.
  8. Pay acceptance and clear: Fed Poly Mubi has not published its acceptance fee in any official source I reached. Pay only through a portal invoice in your name, then complete clearance.

Warning

Admission into Fed Poly Mubi comes through JAMB CAPS. If anyone offers you a “special list” slot or a “direct admission” for money, walk away. A genuine offer appears on your CAPS page, and genuine school payments go through a portal invoice in your name.

If you still need to sit the UTME, read when JAMB 2027 registration starts, and when results come out, see how to check your JAMB result. For the Chemistry paper, see our JAMB Chemistry syllabus guide.

Studying Leisure and Tourism Management at Fed Poly Mubi

ND Leisure and Tourism Management trains staff for travel agencies, tour operations, parks, recreation centres and event services. JAMB lists it for Fed Poly Mubi; the polytechnic has not published which school runs it.

What you study

  • Introduction to tourism and the Nigerian tourism industry
  • Travel agency and tour operations
  • Leisure, recreation and parks management
  • Event planning and management
  • Tourism marketing, geography and customer service
  • Communication in English and general studies courses

Duration and accreditation

Under the standard NBTE structure, the ND runs for two years full time. Students who want the HND then do a one-year industrial attachment (SIWES or IT) before applying, and the HND usually asks for an ND at Lower Credit or above. Fed Poly Mubi has not published a course timetable, so treat this as the national pattern.

Fed Poly Mubi is a federal polytechnic regulated by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). I could not confirm the current NBTE accreditation status of ND Leisure and Tourism Management itself. Ask the department, or check the NBTE’s list of accredited programmes, before you pay school fees.

Careers after the ND

  • Travel agency and ticketing staff
  • Tour guide or parks and recreation assistant
  • Event planning and hospitality support
  • State tourism boards and agencies

Mistakes that cost Leisure and Tourism Management applicants a place at Fed Poly Mubi

  • Treating 100 as a safe score: it is the minimum to apply, not a promise of admission.
  • Registering Geography and Economics without checking: the printed UTME line is Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
  • No Geography credit: it is a fixed O’level credit for this course.
  • Choosing the wrong Mubi institution: the polytechnic and the Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi are separate choices on JAMB.
  • O’level missing on CAPS: JAMB cannot process your admission without it.
  • Accepting on CAPS and stopping there: acceptance fee payment and clearance at the polytechnic are separate steps.

Fed Poly Mubi Leisure and Tourism Management cut-off: frequently asked questions

What is the cut off mark for Tourism Management in Fed Poly Mubi? The minimum is 100, JAMB’s figure for polytechnics. No departmental figure has been published.

Is Tourism Management Technology the same as Leisure and Tourism at Fed Poly Mubi? JAMB lists both names for the polytechnic. Treat them as one course unless the admissions office tells you otherwise.

Sources and updates

The 100 minimum for polytechnics and the 31 December 2026 admission deadline come from the News Agency of Nigeria report of JAMB’s 2026 policy meeting (11 May 2026). The 2025 figure of 100 is from Nairametrics (8 July 2025) and matching Blueprint and AllAfrica reports. The course list is from the Myschool reprint of JAMB’s Federal Polytechnic, Mubi course list and the 2026/2027 ND/HND admission notice reprinted by Myschool on 8 August 2026, which is cut off after the first engineering course. The UTME and O’level requirements are from JAMB’s polytechnic brochure as reprinted by Myschool (Leisure and Tourism Management brochure page), which has no Fed Poly Mubi remark; the Tourism Management Technology page was blank. The 2026/2027 post-UTME form report is from AbsTechConnect (12 August 2026) and is unofficial. The polytechnic’s history (founded in 1979, moved from Yola to Mubi in 1982) is from Wikipedia, and the separation from the Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi is from Leadership’s report on the 2023 approval of that university. The safe target scores and the worked example are my own advice. Checked on 3 November 2026; this page will be updated when Fed Poly Mubi publishes its 2027/2028 notice.
