If Peaceland University admits you to Entrepreneurship, the minimum score is 150 in the UTME, JAMB’s 2026/2027 minimum for all universities. Peaceland University, Enugu has not published any separate cut-off for Entrepreneurship. Before you plan around that number, though, there is a bigger problem: Entrepreneurship is not on JAMB’s course list for Peaceland University.
2027/2028 update: Peaceland University cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.
Peaceland’s 2026/2027 advert, as summarised by Myschool on 28 April 2026, lists Entrepreneurship in the Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences. JAMB’s list for Peaceland, which I checked on Myschool’s reprint on 30 October 2026, has 30 courses, and Entrepreneurship is not one of them. A university can only admit you on CAPS into a course JAMB lists for it, so as things stand you cannot register “Entrepreneurship” under Peaceland at the CBT centre. Unless that changes, my advice is to register Management or Accounting at Peaceland, which are on the list, or to apply for Entrepreneurship at a university where JAMB lists it, such as Renaissance University, Ugbawka in Enugu State.
Below I explain what the gap means, how to check it yourself, the subjects and O’level JAMB uses for Entrepreneurship, the CAPS steps and the alternatives.

Why the JAMB course list matters for Entrepreneurship at Peaceland
Every university admission in Nigeria now runs through JAMB’s Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). The university proposes you for a course, JAMB checks it against what you registered and the courses it has approved for that university, and only then does the offer appear for you to accept. The News Agency of Nigeria reported JAMB’s position in May 2026 that admissions done outside CAPS are illegal.
So if Entrepreneurship is missing from Peaceland’s JAMB list, there is no CAPS route into it under that name. A few possibilities explain why a course can appear in an advert but not on JAMB’s list:
- New programme: the course may have been approved recently and not yet added to JAMB’s list, or the reprint I read may be behind JAMB’s own portal.
- Different JAMB name: the university may admit Entrepreneurship students under another listed course and move them later. Peaceland has not said this anywhere I could find, so do not assume it.
- Planned course: it may be advertised ahead of approval.
Whichever it is, the safe move is the same: do not register a course for Peaceland that is not on its JAMB list, and do not accept an arrangement to “change it later” unless the university confirms it in writing and the final offer shows on CAPS.
How to check Peaceland’s JAMB list yourself
- At the CBT centre: when you register for the 2027 UTME, ask the operator to select Peaceland University and read out every course. If Entrepreneurship now appears, you can register it.
- On JAMB’s e-facility: JAMB’s e-brochure lets you search by institution and course. Look under Peaceland University.
- Ask the university in writing: email or write to Peaceland’s admissions office and ask which JAMB course name its Entrepreneurship students register. Keep the reply.
- If it is still missing: register Management or Accounting at Peaceland, or Entrepreneurship at a university where JAMB lists it.
Cut-off history and safe target score
| Session | Figure | What it is | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026/2027 | 150 | JAMB national minimum for universities | JAMB 2026 policy meeting, 11 May 2026 |
| 2025/2026 | 150 | JAMB national minimum for universities | JAMB 2025 policy meeting (reported by Channels TV, 8 July 2025) |
| 2026/2027 | Not published | Peaceland cut-off for Entrepreneurship | Not in any Peaceland notice or report I found |
| 2026/2027 | Not declared | Peaceland’s own minimum at JAMB’s 2026 policy meeting | Peaceland is absent from the full 2026 list News Central TV printed |
Peaceland admitted its first degree students in 2023/2024. For the courses on its JAMB list, the only figure that has applied is the national minimum. My safe target for its management courses is 165 or more; the bands below are my judgement, not Peaceland’s.
| Your UTME score | My read for the business courses at Peaceland |
|---|---|
| Below 150 | Not eligible for any Peaceland degree in the session |
| 150 to 164 | Eligible for Management or Accounting with the right O’level credits |
| 165 to 189 | A good position at a private university |
| 190 and above | Strong, and wide choice, including public universities |
UTME subjects and O’level for Entrepreneurship
These are JAMB’s general requirements for Entrepreneurship, from Myschool’s reprint of the brochure (our team read the entry in late October 2026; it would not load again on 30 October). They are the rules you would meet at any university listing the course, including Renaissance University.
| Requirement | Entrepreneurship (JAMB general rule) |
|---|---|
| UTME subjects | Use of English, Economics, Mathematics and one Social Science or Commercial subject |
| O’level | Five credits: English Language, Mathematics, Economics, one science subject, and one Social Science or Commercial subject |
| Direct Entry | Two A level passes including Economics, plus one of Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Mathematics |
These subjects overlap almost completely with Management and Accounting. If you sit English, Mathematics, Economics and Government or Commerce in the UTME, you can register Management or Accounting at Peaceland, or Entrepreneurship elsewhere, without changing subjects. Do check one difference: Entrepreneurship asks for a science credit at O’level, while Management asks for two credits from the business and social science group.
Your best alternatives
| Option | Why it works | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Management at Peaceland | On Peaceland’s JAMB list; covers entrepreneurship, small business and strategy courses | Peaceland Management cut-off mark |
| Accounting at Peaceland | On the JAMB list; strong professional route, useful for any business owner | Peaceland cut-off mark for Accounting |
| Economics at Peaceland | On the JAMB list; same UTME subjects | Peaceland Economics cut-off mark |
| Entrepreneurship at Renaissance University, Ugbawka | Private university in Enugu State with Entrepreneurship on its JAMB list | Confirm on JAMB’s portal when you register |
If owning a business is your goal, the course name matters less than you might think. Nigerian universities must teach entrepreneurship as a general course to all undergraduates, and a Management degree covers small business, marketing and strategy in depth. In your position I would register Management at Peaceland and add business clubs, internships and a side project during the degree.
For a public-university comparison, see the UNN Business Management cut-off mark.
How selection works at Peaceland
The only screening test Peaceland has announced publicly was on 18 September 2024 for six health courses (Myschool, 31 August 2024). I found no test, aggregate formula or screening date for any course in the Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences. Expect to apply online with your UTME score and O’level, after which the university checks your eligibility and recommends you on CAPS.
At the university’s second matriculation, its pro-chancellor, Felix Ugwuozor, said Peaceland had admitted over 600 students and would have taken more, but the NUC quota for each faculty held it back (TheCable). So Peaceland cannot admit everyone who scores 150. When places are capped, the candidates with stronger UTME scores and cleaner O’level results, who applied early and have their results on CAPS, are the ones who get in.
How to apply to Peaceland for a business course, step by step
These steps assume you register Management, the closest listed course. Swap in Accounting if you prefer it, or Entrepreneurship if it appears on Peaceland’s JAMB list when you register.
- Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN. JAMB replies with the profile code you take to the CBT centre.
- Register the UTME with the right course: pick Peaceland University (not Peaceland College of Education) and the course Management (or Entrepreneurship, only if it now appears under Peaceland), with Use of English, Economics, Mathematics and one Social Science or Commercial subject. Make Peaceland your first choice. If it is not, do a JAMB change of institution before you apply to the university.
- Upload your O’level to CAPS: go to a JAMB-accredited centre and upload every sitting you want counted. If you sat WAEC or NECO this year, upload as soon as the result is out. The university cannot recommend you on CAPS without it.
- Apply on Peaceland’s portal: the university’s application portal is apply.peacelanduni.edu.ng (“Enroll Now”). Create an account, enter your JAMB registration number and UTME score, upload your O’level, choose the same course you registered with JAMB and pay the admission form fee (₦10,000 on the university’s fee schedule). Print your slip.
- Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS, and accept the offer. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each status you may see.
- Pay acceptance and school fees: only after accepting on CAPS. Peaceland’s fee schedule lists acceptance at ₦10,000 and a total of ₦320,000 at 100 level and ₦390,000 at 200 and 300 level, with tuition payable 60% and then 40%. Pay only through the official portal or the Admissions Office.
Warning
Every genuine Peaceland University offer shows on JAMB CAPS. Ignore anyone selling admission “slots” or asking you to pay into a personal account. Use only the university’s official portal and the contacts printed on its own notices.
JAMB set 30 November 2026 as the 2026/2027 admission deadline for private universities (News Agency of Nigeria, 11 May 2026), so Peaceland’s 2026/2027 offers have to be on CAPS by then. If you are planning for 2027, read when JAMB 2027 registration starts and how to check your JAMB result and what to do with the score.
About Peaceland University and its Entrepreneurship programme
Peaceland University is a private university in Independence Layout, Enugu. It grew out of Peaceland College of Education, which still runs separately and admits NCE students, and it began admitting degree students in the 2023/2024 session with four faculties. Its 2026/2027 advert, as summarised by Myschool on 28 April 2026, lists five faculties: Allied Health Sciences, Science and Computing, Law, Arts, Management and Social Sciences, and Education.
- Duration: a B.Sc. in Entrepreneurship normally runs four years in Nigeria. Peaceland has published no details of its programme.
- NUC accreditation: full, as announced by Peaceland. After NUC’s October/November 2025 exercise, Peaceland announced full accreditation for 17 programmes, and Entrepreneurship is one of them (reported by Uniblog NG on 23 April 2026; the university’s own post of 1 May 2026 names Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science and Accountancy “and several others”). I found no NUC report page for it, so the status rests on the university’s announcement.
- What the degree usually covers: business planning, small business management, innovation, marketing, finance for small firms, family business and a business project.
