Ritman University Management Cut-Off Mark 2027/2028 and Admission Requirements

Ritman University has no separate Management cut-off; JAMB’s 150 applies. JAMB and Ritman now use Business Administration. What to register, subjects and screening.

The Ritman University Management cut off mark for 2027/2028 is, in practice, the JAMB national minimum of 150 for universities. Ritman University, a private university in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, has not published a separate cut-off for Management: Ritman’s admissions page does not print a number. It only asks candidates to meet the UTME cut-off for their chosen course. For Management, the key detail is the name: JAMB’s list for Ritman and Ritman’s newest notice both use Business Administration.

2027/2028 update: Ritman cut-off marks usually stay the same from one year to the next, so the figures on this page are what 2027/2028 candidates should plan with. They come from the latest official notice (2026/2027). If the 2027/2028 notice changes anything, we will update this page.

NUC lists Ritman’s Management with Full accreditation, but neither JAMB’s course list for Ritman nor Ritman’s October 2025 notice carries a course called Management. Below I explain what to register, the subjects, a safe target score, the CBT screening and the CAPS steps.

Management or Business Administration at Ritman?

Ritman’s older faculties page lists Management, and NUC’s accreditation results show Ritman’s Management as Full, due again in 2028. Ritman’s admission notice of 21 October 2025 lists B.Sc. Business Administration and no Management, and JAMB’s course list for Ritman also has Business Administration and no Management.

So on JAMB, register Business Administration. It covers the same ground as a Management degree. Ritman has not explained the change, so if the exact degree title matters to you, ask the admissions office.

Ritman’s admissions page still says, in its JUPEB section, that JUPEB suits candidates who scored below 140. That figure is an older JAMB floor. For 2026 JAMB set 150 as the minimum for universities, so I would not plan with 140 for Management or any other Ritman course.

Safe target score for Management at Ritman (my advice)

This is my judgement as an admissions adviser. Ritman University does not publish merit lists or the lowest score it admitted, so the bands below are planning ranges.

Your UTME scoreMy read for Management at Ritman
Below 150Not eligible for a university this session
150 to 159Eligible. Admission is possible at a private university, but you have no margin
160 to 184Comfortable for Management at Ritman
185 and aboveStrong. You can also keep a federal or state university option open

Business Administration and Management draw steady demand, a little below Accounting. For 2027 I would aim for 160 or more, ideally 185.

UTME subject combination and O’level for Management at Ritman

RequirementManagement at Ritman
UTME subjects (JAMB brochure)Use of English plus Mathematics, Economics and any other social science subject (JAMB’s line for Business Administration; the Management page gives Mathematics, Economics and one other subject)
O’level (JAMB brochure)Five credits including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two other relevant subjects
Ritman’s own O’level ruleFive credits in WAEC, NECO or GCE, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings (Ritman admissions page)
Special Ritman remark on JAMB’s pageNone listed
Awaiting resultRitman has not published a rule; upload results to CAPS as soon as they are out

The Business Administration and Management lines both make Mathematics and Economics compulsory. Government or Commerce as the third subject fits both.

JAMB’s Management page names Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography and Statistics as suitable extra O’level subjects.

Direct Entry into Management

JAMB’s brochure line for Direct Entry: two A-level passes including Economics (Business Administration line); the Management line accepts two passes from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Statistics. Ritman’s own rule: five O’level credits including English and Mathematics (two sittings at most), plus OND, NCE, IJMB or A-level for 200 level entry (Ritman admissions page). Register Direct Entry with JAMB, not only on the Ritman portal; a DE offer still has to appear on CAPS.

How Ritman screening works for Management

Ritman screens UTME and Direct Entry candidates with a computer-based test (CBT). Candidates apply online at applicant.safapply.com/ritmanuniversity, sit the test, and those offered admission then go through an ICT training and orientation programme. The admissions page warns that false entries on the online form can lead to disqualification. Ritman has not published the CBT’s subjects, length or pass mark.

A 2025/2026 blog summary (Myschoolgist) said the form and screening cost ₦10,000 and that candidates brought a passport photograph, their JAMB result slip and the payment evidence to an aptitude test. Ritman has not confirmed that amount on any page I could open, so confirm it on the portal before paying.

Worked example for a Management candidate

Ritman has not published how it weighs the UTME against its CBT. Many Nigerian universities convert both to a score out of 100 by dividing the UTME by 8 (up to 50 marks) and scaling the screening test to 50. I use that method below only as an illustration; it is not a Ritman formula.

  1. UTME: Aniedi scored 166. 166 divided by 8 = 20.75 out of 50.
  2. CBT: suppose Aniedi scores 62% on Ritman’s test. Half of that is 31.0 out of 50.
  3. Illustrative aggregate: 20.75 + 31.0 = 51.75 out of 100.
  4. Margin over the floor: 166 minus 150 = 16 marks above JAMB’s minimum, and 6 marks above my safe target of 160.
  5. What I would advise: he is above my target. He should register Business Administration on JAMB, the name Ritman can offer on CAPS.

Admission odds for Management at Ritman

With 160 or more, credits in Mathematics and Economics and a fair CBT result, your chances at Ritman are good. The main mistake to avoid is looking for a Management course JAMB does not hold for Ritman.

  • Choose Ritman first: Ritman also accepts candidates through a JAMB change of institution, according to its October 2025 notice.
  • Upload O’level early: no university can give you admission on CAPS without your results there.
  • Apply before the private-university deadline: JAMB set 30 November 2026 as the 2026/2027 deadline for private universities, so the 2026/2027 exercise runs until that date.
  • Keep a second option: if you also hold a strong score, apply to a public university in the next cycle as well.

How to apply for Management at Ritman, step by step

  1. Get your JAMB profile code: send NIN, a space and your 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your NIN.
  2. Register the UTME with the right subjects: Use of English, Mathematics, Economics and Government or Commerce, under the course name Business Administration, with Ritman University as your first choice. Ritman also takes change of institution candidates.
  3. Upload your O’level to CAPS: do it at a JAMB-accredited centre as soon as your results are out. Check that the grades show correctly.
  4. Apply on the Ritman portal: applicant.safapply.com/ritmanuniversity. Fill the form with the same names as on your JAMB and O’level records.
  5. Sit the CBT screening: bring what the portal asks for, which blogs say includes your JAMB slip and a passport photograph.
  6. Accept on CAPS: log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng, open Check Admission Status, then Access my CAPS. Accept the offer and print your JAMB admission letter. Our JAMB CAPS guide explains each CAPS status.
  7. Pay acceptance and register: pay only through the invoice the portal generates, then complete clearance and the ICT orientation.

Note

JAMB’s list for Ritman has Business Administration, not Management. Register Business Administration and make sure any offer you accept shows on JAMB CAPS.

Fees for Management at Ritman

Ritman’s Pay Fees page carries a revised fee schedule for the 2024/2025 session, posted as two images. I could not read the amounts from it, and no 2026/2027 schedule was published there when I checked. Ask the admissions office (info@ritmanuniversity.edu.ng, 0808 983 5170) for the current Management tuition before you accept an offer.

Studying Management at Ritman

Business Administration (formerly listed as Management) sits in Ritman’s Faculty of Social and Management Sciences. The B.Sc. normally runs for four years in Nigeria; Ritman has not published its own duration.

About Ritman University

Ritman University is a private university on Umuahia Road, Ikot Ekpene. NUC licensed it on 5 March 2015 and teaching began in November 2015. Its vice-chancellor since 2 October 2025 is Prof. Akan B. Williams. In 2026 NUC approved 22 new programmes, taking Ritman from 3 faculties to 6 (Allied Health Sciences, Computing, Environmental Sciences, Natural and Applied Sciences, Arts and Humanities, and Social and Management Sciences) and to 40 programmes in all. For a family weighing Ritman, that means a small, growing campus where many departments are new.

What you study

  • Principles of management and organisational behaviour
  • Marketing, production and operations management
  • Business finance, accounting and economics
  • Entrepreneurship and small business management
  • Human resource management, business policy and a final-year project

Accreditation

NUC’s Accreditation Results 1990 to 2025 list Ritman’s Management as Full, with the next accreditation due in 2028. NUC lists it under the name Management; Business Administration does not appear separately for Ritman in that list.

Full accreditation means the programme met NUC’s standards at its last visit, so the degree is recognised for NYSC and further study. Programmes are re-visited when the period runs out.

Careers

Graduates work in banks, telecoms, manufacturing and retail as management trainees, in marketing, sales and operations, in public service, and in their own businesses. An MBA or a professional marketing or management qualification often follows.

Before you register, read our guides to checking your JAMB result and JAMB change of course.

Mistakes that cost Management applicants a place

  • Searching JAMB for Management at Ritman: the course JAMB holds is Business Administration.
  • Treating 150 as a guarantee: it only makes you eligible.
  • O’level not on CAPS: without it, no offer can be made.
  • Accepting on CAPS and stopping there: acceptance fee, clearance and registration at Ritman are separate steps.

If you are writing the UTME again in 2027, read when JAMB 2027 registration starts and, if you chose another school, how to do a JAMB change of institution.
