The State University of Medical and Applied Sciences (SUMAS), Igbo-Eno, Enugu State, invites qualified candidates to apply for Inter-University Transfers to any of its academic programs for the 2024/2025 academic year. This opportunity allows students from other universities to continue their studies at SUMAS, provided they meet the necessary requirements.

Eligibility Requirements for Inter-University Transfer
Candidates seeking to transfer to SUMAS must meet the following criteria:
Candidates must demonstrate strong academic performance. For Medicine and Surgery, applicants must have a CGPA of not less than 4.000 from their current university. For other programs, a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 5.0 scale is required. Applicants must also meet the O’Level requirements for their intended program as specified in SUMAS’s admission guidelines.
A JAMB admission letter issued at the point of gaining admission into their current institution is required. In addition, applicants must request their current university to send an official academic transcript to admissionofficer@sumas.edu.ng and copied to registrar@sumas.edu.ng. A hard copy of the transcript must also be addressed to The Registrar, SUMAS, Igbo-Eno, Enugu State. Applications without an official transcript will not be processed.
Applicants must be current students of the institution from which they are seeking to transfer.
Application Procedure
Interested candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of N100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) to the following account. Account Name: SUMAS Screening and Application Account. Account Number: 1226931156. Bank: Zenith Bank.
The Inter-University Transfer Form can be downloaded via the SUMAS website. Once downloaded, applicants must fill out the form and attach the following as a single scanned document: completed application form, evidence of payment, and O’Level result(s). The scanned document should be submitted via email to admissionofficer@sumas.edu.ng and copied to registrar@sumas.edu.ng.
Applications must be submitted no later than 15th November 2024. Late applications or incomplete submissions will not be considered.
